AI matchday squad selection

AI managers if anything have become worse than FM23, leaving star players out of the squad completely for youth players who haven't played a game all season.  City just played a champions league final in my save and left out fully fit Stones, Walker, Alvarez and Foden for youth players, even some players who had returned from loan the same week! Better AI squad building and selection logic was advertised as a MAIN FEATURE of this game and also mentioned in the last major update, this is simply not good enough.

On the flip side, up until this version I hadn't seen big teams resting players for Carabao Cup games. They have on my save.

I saw your screenshot in the other thread. City picked a team for the Champions League final... and won. 

Clearly a bug that needs fixing.
