leicester33
Beginning this old thread to see if it gains any traction again. You must get your player to 1000 competitive appearances to complete the challenge. Includes international appearances this time. You can do this challenge as its own save, but its probably more fun to do it with another save. That is all for now.

Rick87
I'm doing youth academy challenge in my current save and have alot of 16/17 year olds promoted into my team already. So I'm definitely going to give this a try.
KibworthBull
Got a few options developing on my Youth Only save with Fleckney Athletic Ryan Robinson 23 year old striker, with 315 games Matt Matthews (yep, that's his name) 22 year old Centre Mid, with 280 games - he's reached his peak potential though Nathan Heard 22 year old Centre Back, with 278 games Kern Bamford 22 year old Centre Mid with 276 games Luke Green 22 year old Right Back with 265 games Apart from Matthews, they still show as 4 or 5 start potential ability. We are Step 7 (just been promoted) and are playing 42 league games, and in 3 cup competitions so should be playing 50 odd games a season. Suspect they may all fall short (10 years of playing 50 a season puts them in the 750-800 bracket at 32. I had a keeper David Lockett - 341 games at 22 years old - but he is refusing to sign a new contract and is about to leave.

Ireland and Brazil, where there's a ton of games, but I think @Ackter completed it with Newcastle once or twice, so it isnt impossible

Ackter
With English clubs you need to get into Europe, do well in every competition nearly every year and start playing the players in every game as soon as they spawn.
Ackter
Oh and you have to holiday through every match or it'll take you 3 real years.

I have a player with 1058 matches (not counting friendlies) but 103 of those matches are for his former club.
