Wahey!

Serbia will be the first ones home as it stands yeah?

Would be ironic if they follow through on their threat to flounce out the tournament after they're already knocked out...

Only happens if Denmark beat England later. Otherwise Serbia might have a chance of getting through as a best third place team if they take three points from their final game. But if England have lost, Serbia could get to three points but would only finish 4th and not 3rd because England would have a superior h2h record against them.

Hope that opens it up.

Slovenia look way better coached than Serbia.

Kek is probably in top 5 Balkan coaches. Did wonders with Rijeka.

Kek is a miracle worker, just look at how average their team is individually.

To put things into perspective, he's the only non-Dinamo Croatian league winner since 2006.

They have two top quality players in crucial positions to build around too, which always helps

Serbia have more good players but less of a team (as they always seem to be)

Oblak-Bijol-Šeško is their key trio, but playing so well without any top class midfielders is amazing coaching.

If only Iličić and Birsa were a bit younger.

Serbia is easily the biggest joke in NT football.

Wouldn't mind if those Gnezda Čerin to Dinamo rumours were true. Quality player as well.

I think Kante is the exception to all the Saudi based players being garbage so far :D No idea if SMS was finished before he went though tbf

Jovic has consistently looked crap every time I have watched him since he left Frankfurt.

One of Real's very few transfer mistakes in recent years.

40m euro's wasn't it?

Made the understandable, but very wrong move when he went to Madrid. I think he hat that hot streak while at Frankfurt but everywhere else has been meh

Now over to ROB for the permutations

Great result for England. Means if we beat Denmark we are group winners with a game to spare.

Serbia are right in it still, likely to go through if they beat Denmark. Slovenia will either need to beat England or hope that three draws is enough to get them through as a best third place team.

Yeah but if we win today then we've got top spot with a game to spare.

And if we don't win tonight we're still probably through regardless and Slovenia coming at us increases the chances of us getting 3 points against them and topping the group

Probably. Although it’s still just about possible that we could get to four points tonight and still not be a best third place team. But it would need Slovenia to beat England and Denmark to beat Serbia to push us down to third on MD3. Then we would need loads of specific results in the other groups as well for four points not to be enough.

Got to be targeting the win and topping the group tonight though, then we probably avoid Germany and have the chance to switch a few things around against Slovenia.

Decent header when your having your shirt ripped off you.

Fitting end as well for all the time-wasting Slovenia were doing.

Though getting rather worrying the extent of beer cup throwing onto the pitch, can't really keep letting that go without some sort of action.

If England beat Denmark then the Denmark-Serbia game is very unlikely to be a 1-1 draw. A draw probably sends them both home with two points in that scenario. So they will be going hell for leather in the closing stages. Like a knockout game, but better because no winning goal means everyone goes out.

Although that said… if they did play out a 1-1 draw and England also beat Slovenia… Slovenia would only be on two points as well. So the group is 9-2-2-2 and goes to the mini-league. Someone could get two points and be the group runner up :D  That’s never happened at a WC or a Euros but I have a vague memory of it maybe happening in a UEFA youth tournament.

100%

Not just because it should make things so much easier, but also I have tickets to match 48 so I'm invested in that even moreso.
