Think it was Kimmich blocking the defender, who would have been marking the goalscorer.

That’s a greatly timed run. Shamble about the finish from Kai.

Penalty! Make it inside the box! ;)

Thunder and lightning postponing the game. So far. Red flag.

Was it Euro 2012 when there was an almighty storm that postponed a game for 24 hours?

My memory is hazy but surely any lightning would strike the stadium rather than the players. Surely you only stop for lighting when you’re playing in a much smaller (or no) stadium

seems to happen a bit more now, I remember a Ukraine game years ago when it was tipping down - maybe Northern Ireland in Euro 2016?

Scotland V Georgia during the qualifiers was off for about 90 minutes

Yep, Euro 2012. That was France vs Ukraine. But the game was only suspended for 1 hour, not 24.

I vaguely remember a match years ago in South Africa where lightning struck the pitch and a fair few players were injuted from it.

France v Ukraine game was stopped after a few minutes and then restarted an hour later.

But later that year was the Poland v England qualifier that got pushed back by a day because nobody had closed the stadium roof.
