The club was founded in 1903. Cremonese played the 2005/2006 season in Serie B, having won Serie C1/A the previous season. However, in the 2005/2006 Serie B campaign, Cremonese came out twenty-first, being therefore relegated to Serie C1 for the next season. Their last appearance in Serie A was in 1996. The team's colors are red and gray. Cremonese won the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1993. Some of the famous players who played for Cremonese include Gianluca Vialli, Anders Limpar, Giuseppe Favalli, John Aloisi and Enrico Chiesa [edit] History Cremonese was in Serie A in its first season (1929-30) but entered a long period of decline, languishing in the lower leagues before the late 1970s. By 1984 they had achieved promotion to Serie A, with one-year spells in 1984-85, 1989-90 and 1991-92. Under Luigi Simoni, Cremonese returned to Serie A in 1993. With a side containing quality in the form of defenders Luigi Gualco and Corrado Verdelli, midfield playmaker Riccardo Maspero and forwards Andrea Tentoni and Matjaž FlorijanÄiÄ, Cremonese held their own in Serie A with a highly respectable 10th place finish in 1993-94 but would be relegated in 1996. Relegation resulted in the decline of the club, plummeting to Serie C2 by 2000 before achieving successive promotions back to Serie B by 2005. Giovanni Dall'Igna, another defender from the Serie A years, has since returned to the club. Italian Cup Im expected to get to te semi finals but this cup is not in my thoughts at all and i have won 1 and lost 2 in the roup an i hope to get knocked out. Transfers In/Out Mario Ballioteli Loan Alberto Paloschi Loan Ibraham Ba Loan Also on imenez favoured personal list and he is extremly interested in joining the Cremonese revelotion hope i can afford him. Season update Well it has been a really good season for everybody involvedwith the little club called Cremonese. we achieved what we had set out to do on a shoe string budget. Seire C1A Well i thought we would win it but i didnt know just how comforably we would win it as here is the league table. http://img71291.pictiger.com/images/15171422/ Player of the Season Livu Ganea 1st Gabriel Fabio Graziani 2nd Coppa Italia its not the real coppa Italia ad as said above we sacraficed the cup for Seire B. I told the bard i would be promoted but i am looking for a top wo finish to got up with out that play off crap. Seire B Wel as i said aboove i am expecting better than i told the board and to be honest most of my signings were with Seire A in mind. Started well with me winning 2 out of 2. Currently joint top on 6 points with two other clubs. Coppa Italia Well i was expected to reache the second round which i did by beating Verona on penos after a 2-2 draw. Got drawn against a recently relegated Torino side and my team did me proud only loosing by 2 goals to 1. My captain and vice captain will now jin my coaching team along with two other players Pancaro, Chieasa, Micuid, Delvechio Seire B I couldnt be happier with my players as this is what i wanted as i woulnt be able to hack another season in the Cadetti. http://img71291.pictiger.com/images/15206864/ Coppa Italia We achieved what the board wnated by just being in the competition and i was happy to see us go out as it ment my squad could concentrate on the cadetti championship. My Squad My squad is strong enough but i am looking to bring in Luca Pozzi from relegated Empoli to strenghten my attack. I am expecting to do well as in season 1 Atalanta won the league so i am now cpectin a top 1o finish. I was given 7m to spend. Spent a little bit of money and loaned in some players to. My fisrt game was at home to Udinese and we drew0-0 the next game was against Milan were we lost 2-1 with Pato scoring in the last minute. Coppa Italia The board exected the 3rd round and i hav already beatin that as we beat Speza and Parma on penos and then we beat Cesena so we have Napoli in the first round proper.
