  1. This is due to a licensing issue. I think SI doesn't have the rights to use some football brands. If your save is entirely vanilla, it should be the same as German for Japan and South Korea I think ? Juventus as well, the Brazilian teams with a 3 letters name... This isn't a bug, so you've done nothing wrong here.

No worries, mate! I thought the same until I read a full breakdown by one of the devs here that explained it. Here is a summary:

The craziest is I did read this post already before posting my question. I tried to find if someone answered this in the forum first.

But when you've a strong belief, you can be blinded by it. It was clearly written and I didn't really notice it :idiot:.

Anyway, all clear now. Thanks to you.

Once upon a time, I thought the same. Fully agree with @XaW that it should be renamed. The correct term for 'future' newgens is Juniors, so it could (and should, really) be named junior facilities with the term "Junior" being used more in the game, to highlight that.

I agree with you two. It can be confusing as I always considered U18 as "youth". Using Academy or Juniors would definitely be clearer.

And I'm sure quite some people would learn it while reading this conversation.

    Thanks again guys.

Correct. The youth facilities does not affect any visible players at all, only future newgens. They could easily be renamed to academy facilities or junior facilities to make it clearer.

    Thanks buddy, you're a legend !

cf my previous post to Hunt3r. I play this game for so many years, back to the CM series, and you just corrected a wrong belief I had till now. I understand now that the "shared training ground" concerned ONLY the "shared coaching staff" between the seniors and reserve/U23, and has nothing to do with the training ground quality.

Thanks again, mate, you're on top :brock:

Yep, Youth facilities are for juniors. It's also mentioned in the game as part of the 'tips' that you see when the game processes.

Alright, thanks mate. I play this game for ages and it's a misconception I had. I believed ONLY the youth level, youth recruitment and junior coaching affected the newgens produced. However, I always thought the training facilities concerned the seniors, and reserves when it was shared, and the youth facilities concerned the quality of the training center for U18.

    Thanks again.

Both, the "training facilities" are used for all squads. The "youth facilities" are only used by newgens before they are "produced" by the game.

Sorry to repeat your words, but to make sure I understand, when we make a board request to :

    - improve the training facilities, it affects ALL squads (seniors + reserves/U23 + U19/U18)  ? So when it becomes good, or excellent, it's for ALL of them ?

    - improve the youth facilities, affects the newgens produced before they appear in my U18, but doesn't affect the U18 training center ?

  7. Hi guys, I was wondering, does the U23 share their training facility with the seniors or the U18 ?

In saves in other countries, I know when my reserve team share the same training ground as the senior one. For this save in England, I think this is the case as well, since the senior coaches train the U23 too, but I don't find the information in the club info page.

I need to know this as I have a difference of quality between my senior and youth training facilities.

    Thanks guys.

Do you have sortitoutsi files? If so it was the DBC EDT and INC files that was messing mine up the ones you put in the Data folder under the new update 2130. They have released a new version of the file just overwrite everything you had and it should sort the issue.

Thanks buddy, you're a legend  :brock:

Indeed, I do have the real names files and will update them with the new version. Thanks for the tip.

  9. Thanks guys, you're legends

Tried the "control + tab" but didn't work unfortunately

However, the "alt + tab" command gave me the possibility to do it. It opens a window in the game interface, where I can choose between different screens while holding the alt key. One of those screen is the desktop ;)

It will do, but just to know, do you have to do the same ? Before, it was quite easy : just pressing the windows key and I was straight to the desktop. Now, windows key or "ctrl + escape" opens the apps page in windows 8.1 where there is a desktop icon. But when I click on it, it sends me back to the game, as if the game interface became the desktop.

It's not really practical if you go back and forth from the game and your desktop for other duties (even surfing on the web). Is there another way to set it ? Or everyone has to go through this process ?

  10. Hey guys, silly question.

In the previous games, I had the possibility to go back to the laptop desktop by pressing the windows key on the keyboard when I played football manager in full screen mode. It was the case up to FM17.

In this edition, impossible for me to go back to the desktop when I play the game in full screen no matter which key I press.

Does anyone know if this is possible and tell me how to do it ? I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks.

  11. Hey, I was wondering: does your play style can affect the probability of the players injuries?

I guess a very aggressive play can increase the chance of getting injured in real life, but is it actually reflected in game? I have no points to back it up but I assume a high pressing/hard tackles Atletico style is physically more demanding than a slow tempo/high possession based tactic Barcelona style...

Let's say hard tackles on quite a numerous players, does it increase:

    - the chance of your players getting injured? And obviously, the numbers of players out of your squad...

    - the severity of the injury? Or this point has no correlation whatsoever with the hard tacles instructions?

  12. I like the light-hearted personality myself. What you have to keep in mind is that while the two players you have listed have great attributes and are indeed the better of the four, even though they are light-hearted personalities, is that not all of the attributes that are good are part of the personality description. With Resilient and Resolute, you know that the attributes that go into those personalities will be good, while with light hearted, they don't have to have good ratings in all of the desirable attributes. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks Dr Hook. Yes, it took me two, three times to read it but I finally understood your point.

  13. WARNING: there's going to have a spoil on hidden attributes

I was wondering if someone had some knowledge about players personnalities.

I read in different guide that RESOLUTE or RESILIENT are positive personnalities, while LIGHT-HEARTED is a neutral one.

I used genie scout to see some hidden attributes to give you an example with some similar players:

    Dybala James Rodriguez Hazard Matuidi

    Ambition 16 18 18 14

    Controversy 7 6 9 5

    Loyalty 12 11 14 14

    Pressure 14 15 15 14

    Professionalism 17 17 17 16

    Sportmanship 15 17 17 16

    Temperament 16 18 14 16

    Determination 15 16 16 15

How come Matuidi (RESILIENT) and Dybala (RESOLUTE) can be "more" positive than James Rodriguez and Hazard (both LIGHT HEARTED) when it seems both the latter have better hidden attributes overall, better professionalism, better ambition, better determination? I thought the temperament can make the difference but we can see that Hazard has the lowest (14) and James the highest (18) but still both are light hearted?

For tutoring a young prospect, Hazard and James seem to be the better choice...

    Thanks guys
