  1. Do you also have problem with red cards after the update? It's insane. My players have received 8 red cards in 14 games. My career is coming to the end, because of that.
  2. Stomil Olsztyn | 2025-26 Season Report | PKO EKSTRAKLASA EKSTRAKLASA - WHERE AMAZING HAPPENS What a round that's been! We've made sure to rebuild our confidence during winter frendlies, and started the spring round with power! We've had much easier starting schedule than the round before, so we've managed to make a good run of form and everything became easier for us! We've also got our youth recruitment improved, after some threatening from my side! I have such a strong position in the club, that those talks with the board start to work out well! We also have our first international, as Andrzej Kolcz (25B) got called up by Poland Under 19s! He's played a match and got injurde, though. We've scored 28 points in 15 games! We were one of the strongest teams in that period and managed my first perfect month - march 2026, where we've won all 4 matches, and haven't concede a goal! (Still not enough for Manager of the Month.) We've comfortably stayed in the Ekstraklasa, finishing in the top half (8th) and we've earned lots of money! Lots of facilities will be improved next year! We've also got our first affiliate - Stal Stalowa Wola, a team that got us knocked out of the polish cup this year. I'm still waiting for my first win in that competition. I'm quite optimistic for the future, because we can easily beat teams with much better players! Unfortunately, our youth intake wasn't really spectacular. We haven't got anyone like Andrzej Kolcz (25B) this year, but at least we have some central defenders with OK personalities, which could replace our aging ones. What was the secret of our big improvement? I don't know! Probably the easier fixtures at the beginning of the round, with tough oppositions at the very end (last two matches, which we were very unlucky to lose!). I've also let my assistant manager handle press conferences and made sure that defensive set pieces are trained before EVERY game. It's helped a lot. Based on xG performance, we should be in contention for european cups already! Maybe next year. Also, Andrzej Kolcz (25B) develops really fast. He doesn't draw much interest, though. See you next season! Schedule - 2nd Round League Table First Team Squad & Statistics Transfers Youth Intake Next Season No changes are planned for the next season. We've populated our youth team, so I'll be looking for more loans, as those proved to boost development of Filip Romachów (24B) really fast! I'll also try to introduce one or two youth players to our rotation in the first team. Especially, one of our right-backs will get some chance. Probably Michał Goździejewski (25C), who has fairly professional personality and 3,5-4,5 star potential. The first squad for the next season: GK - Konrad Syldatk, he's developed a lot during this season! Nevertheless, he had some really bad performances. We don't have any serious alternative for him. DR - Karol Żwir - he's very solid part of the team. Unfortunately, he's started to decline. That's why we need someone for that position. DC - Hubert Krawczun - he's clearly not enough for that level, but we don't have anyone who'd be enough. DC - Jakub Tecław - the same as above. DL - Mateusz Jońca - he had some nice games, but overall... I;ve hoped for bigger improvements from him, when I'd came to the team. DM - Szymon Dowgiałło - he was quite solid defensive midfielder. Nothing special as he's not suited for that level, but I'm OK with him. DM - Jakub Philipkowski - he has developed really well this season, and I think he's already better than Dowgiałło. AML - Andrzej Kolcz (25B) - it was a joy to watch him develop. He hasn't provided much in terms of goals and assists, but those green arrows always make me happy. AMC - Michał Żukowski - lots of up and downs this season, but he's still managed to score 10 goals! Very useful player but lacks consistency. AMR - Filip Wójcik - he's a team leader. Very good player that we rely on heavily. Nevertheless, he was more spectacular during autumn, which was poor for the team overall. 8 goals, 9 assists. ST - Bartosz Florek - he still develops. Our main striker, but lacks some consistency though. I've started to yell at him after below par performances. Maybe that will help? Zagłębie Lubin wants to buy him, but he's not really determined to go. He's had his best season, despite playing at higher level. He was on of the best scorers in the league with 15 goals in 31 matches.
  3. Stomil Olsztyn | 2025-26 Winter-Break Report | PKO Ekstraklasa NOT GREAT, NOT TERRIBLE, vol.2 This is a very similar season to what we've witnessed in our first season in 1. Liga. Our performance was quite depressing at times, with poor finishing up front (Florek quiet at the start of the season again), slow defenders being bullied by the opposition (I mean really, they were a waste of food in this round) and even our goalkeeper - Syldatk - was making some terrible errors. We lose crazy amount of goals from free-kicks (9 lost goals in 17 matches). At least we don't concede as much penalties as in season 1. Our only positives are Filip Wójcik, who shines in the top division so far, and Andrzej Kolcz (25B) who develops very fast and already become first team regular. We've also loaned out Filip Romachów (24B) which finally made him develop a little. Those are probably the only home-growns with potential to play at this level for the moment. The rest of them don't show too much of a promise. The pre-season was good, when we've beaten few Ekstraklasa teams and everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, we've faced two top teams at the beginning (Radomiak and Pogoń, who play in Europe) and our morale was poor from the get go. It was hard to recover, as we've faced Raków Częstochowa and our nemesis - Wisła Kraków (we've faced them 3 times already, losing all games) and it was very hard to recover. The best moments of the round was the glorious comeback against Górnik Zabrze, when we went from 0:3 to 4:3 (!) and very strong performances against Zagłębie Lubin Cracovia, whom we've beaten 3:0 and 4:1. Nevertheles, very tough opposition at the end of the year (Lech, Legia, Raków, Radomiak - top 3 teams of the current season and Raków which plays in Conference League) left us with humiliating crescendo. We've dropped to relegation zone and are dead last curently. We are around 1 point per game threshold, which is all I can demand from my guys, but it might be not enough to stay in the league. Maybe, relatively easy fixtures at the beginning of the spring will help us to gain some momentum! Despite some depressing performances at the start of the season I can't be dissapointed. We play pretty good for our level, but we underachieve the most in terms of xG. We were also able to increase our junior coaching budget! It's good now. We also had very promising intake preview this year! I have high hopes for this one. League Table Schedule Transfers Intake Preview PS. Due to our current position, I'm already on the lead of "sack-race". Ungrateful bastards from the board... Should've stayed in the 1. Liga.
  4. Guys... For the first time in my life AI got FMed by me! We've just scored our first points in the third match of the season after that encounter:
  5. Stomil Olsztyn | 2024-25 Season Report | Fortuna 1. Liga EKSTRAKLASA JEST JUŻ NASZA! EKSTRAKLASA, HERE WE COME! It was too easy. We've almost doubled our points tally from the previous season. We were winning the games, where 6 or 7 players were U-18. We've secured promotion with 7 matches to go. Also, thanks to the upgrade to our training facilities, our young players finally started to develop. We've also got some good prospects from the academy, with few of them already gaining experience in the first team. Now, we'll probably get relegated next season, but there is much more money in Ekstraklasa (our wage budget already tripled after promotion!) so I hope that we'll be able to upgrade our facilities even further. Of course, we will fight to stay in the top division! We don't have big talents (like Banul and Drabiszczak) anymore, so I think, that we should be able to keep all the key players in the team. Schedule - 2nd Round League Table First Team Squad & Statistics Transfers Youth Intake Next Season First of all, I hope that our board will keep their feet on the ground and won't make any premature decisions if something goes wrong. Playing in top division will help our players to gain some priceless experience and develop at faster rate. We will also increase our budget. TV rights alone should allow us to develop our training & youth facilities. We were almost invincible this season, but we've kept our morale in the best possible condition through the full season. It will be impossible in the Ekstraklasa. Here is our starting 11 for the next season: GK - Konrad Syldatk, I think that he's ready for Ekstraklasa. Our first-choice goalkeeper for years to come. DR - Karol Żwir - he's also ready for Ekstraklasa. Unfortunately, he's getting old - but potential replacement appeared during last youth intake (Michał Goździejewski (25C)) so I'm quite calm in that area. DC - Hubert Krawczun - a decent defender for 1. Liga level. I'd gladly welcome some central defender from youth academy. DC - Jakub Tecław - he's been retrained from defensive midfielder and turned out to be great in this position. Great heading and quite good passing make him good all-around defender. DL - Mateusz Jońca - I thought he has potential for Ekstraklasa, but he's already 24 and had very long injury this season, who he didn't develop at all. On the other hand, Shibata was great as left wing-back. DM - Szymon Dowgiałło - he's a decent defensive midfielder for 1. Liga. I don't think that he'll develop enough for Ekstraklasa, but we have some depth in that position. DM - Jakub Philipkowski - he's still very young (18). He also has potential to be a leading player for our side, so he should be able to perform at Ekstraklasa level soon. He's a newgen from season 22/23. AML - Andrzej Kolcz (25B) - the first talent I'm really excited with. He's 15 but already near first team level. He should develop really fast in Ekstraklasa environment. AMC - Michał Żukowski - the player who really shocked me during 24/25 season. He was our top performer, with 9 goals and 8 assists. He was the best player of 1. Liga with an average rating 7.39. He's skills aren't outstanding, but he performs well on the pitch. I think, that everything clicked with his role in our tactic. Great player. AMR - Filip Wójcik - a player that's probably already at Ekstraklasa level. He's created loads of chances for us this season and had the most assists in 1. Liga - 10. Crucial player. He's already 24, so I hope that we'll be able to keep him. ST - Bartosz Florek - he was trying to force the transfer, so spent most of the first round on the bench. When he came to his senses, he was our main striker again, scoring 12 goals in 12 matches. Our squad is quite young, and if we'll be able to avoid relegation in the first season, we should be able to become established Ekstraklasa team. If we got relegated... Some clauses will probably trigger, but we should be capable of another promotion.
  6. Stomil Olsztyn | 2024-25 Winter-Break Report | Fortuna 1. Liga GOD-MODE ACTIVATED! After the pre-season started in the worst possible way - we've lost our key player from previous season Banul and Drabiszczak were sold to Ekstraklasa teams (they play in their reserves - I hope the dumb****s are happy). They were loaned back, but after some consultations, I haven't played them. (Screens below). Also, our main wing-back Jońca broke his leg and was out for the whole round. I've had to retrain our winger Shibata as a wing-back and... it turned out better than I've expected. We are dominating the league. We've won on xG in 17 out of 20 occasions. We've already scored more goals than last season, and we have 47 points, which virtually makes us sure, that we'll play at least in the promotion play-offs. We have 14 games to play and we're 15 points clear from the second team. In the league, where top teams score less than 2 points per match it will be hard not to get promoted to Ekstraklasa. I'm already afraid how will the board behave when I'll get relegated from top tier in the next season. We were also able to introduce our younger players - Philipkowski and Marchewka (24D). Unfortunately, tha latter broke his leg, so it will hammer his growth... Also Romachów (24B) has played his first match in the first team. Also Żukowski was given more chances and he's performed brilliantly in this round. I haven't expected much from him, but he's one of our key players this season! There's also a chance that the next intake will be better than before. What to do now? I was thinking whether not to focus on giving our youngsters more playing time, and deliberately avoid promotion. It would be great to be promoted, as there's much more money in the Ekstraklasa, but we'll be way to weak to compete at this level. Match in the FA Cup proved that we're surely not ready for that level. I'm afraid that I'd be fired after relegation. What is your experience in that matter? BTW, we're also heading for another €350K from Pro Junior System, which is bonus for playing youth players the most. It's success after success, as we'll have our training facilities improved soon. I'm also studying for National C badge. Youth Coaching and Youth Facilities are already improved! League Table Schedule Transfers & Banul, Drabiszczak Loans Our current team Intake Preview
  7. I've just started my second season. I've lost 3 of my key players... and I'm suddenly dominating the league! I think that the team cohesion impact may be overrated in this FM. I know it's early into the season but I'm sharing this moment, as it's historical for Stomil Olsztyn in my save. Our superstriker, who was a sleeping giant: Also... They get softer when you bench them:
  8. I have that situation with two players - Drabiszczak and Banul. I've sent them to U19 team (they are not allowed to play there due to their age). They haven't played in any competitive match (only few frendlies), I'll release them in September, as that's the earliest date to do it. Can I countinue the challenge, @darren1983?
  9. Is it possible to continue my challenge if I won't play them and terminate the challenge as soon as possible? (I have to wait a month after transfer.)
  10. Hey, I've got a question: Are loan back clauses legal in this challenge? I couldn't keep my player in the squad and I've sold him with loan back clause before I thought of it.
  11. Stomil Olsztyn | 2023-24 Season Report | Fortuna 1. Liga WE'VE SURVIVED!!! We've done it! After making some changes to our tactical style, our performance improved significantly, even if amount of scored points per game was similar, we were able to beat our opponents in terms of xG in 12 games out of 14! I've changed the roles of our central defenders and took much more aggressive approach in pressing. I was afraid of that, as our defenders are really slow and it caused us some problems, but amount of good chances for our opponents hasn't increased. We also haven't conceded a single penalty in second round! (In the first round we were conceding 0,35 per game) Higher pressing allowed us to score some goals from the breaks, especially Bartosz Florek scored 3 or 4 goals that way. We've also got two elite talents during our youth intake, so I can be finally a little optimistic! Also, after 20 requests, the first one was accepted! We'll have our youth facilities improved! I'll be still fighting for better youth coaching and recruitment. Schedule League Table Player Stats Transfers Youth Intake Next Season Our boards wants us to avoid relegation once again. I think that, playing the way we did in the second round, we have everything to establish ourselves as mid-table 1.Liga team. I'll try to give more chances to players who can still develop, as I haven't seen much of progress from anyone except Jakub Banul. We will try hard to keep Mateusz Drabiszczak in the team, but he has only 1 year of contract and Ekstraklasa teams approach him. If we fail to sign new contract, I'll have to sell him towards the end of summer transfer window, with Next Transfer Profit clause. Our long-term goal is to get promoted to Ekstraklasa and stay there. We have few players, who could develop to Ekstraklasa-level and I consider them as a core of the team. GK - Konrad Syldatk, he's already very solid goalkeeper for 1.Liga who could still develop. DR - Karol Żwir - already on the level of bottom Ekstraklasa teams, in my opinion. Could also play on DC or DM. He'd be enough for keeping us in Ekstraklasa, but won't develop anymore. DC - Dariusz Lubas Y001A - still a big if, but may have potential to be somewhere between top 1. Liga player or decent Ekstraklasa player. Based on the stars, at least. We have to wait and see. DC - none DL - Mateusz Jońca - very solid wing-back. He's only 23 and I think that he could develop to decent Ekstraklasa player. DM - Mateusz Drabiszczak - he already drags interest of few Ekstraklasa sides, so surely he has the sufficient potential. DM - Tecław / Dowgiałło / Philipkowski - players with some potential, but will it be enough for Ekstraklasa level? I'm not sure. AML - Jakub Banul - he's 19 and already looking good in 1. Liga, so I think he'll be enough for Ekstraklasa in the future. AMC - Szypulski / Niewiadomski / Żukowski - Szypulski doesn't look like Ekstraklasa player but he performed really good early in the season. Niewiadomski and Żukowski have some potential, but the same case as with seond DM position. AMR - Filip Wójcik - he's 23 and solid for 1. Liga. He's still has some time to develop, so I think he's potential for Ekstraklasa-standard player. ST - Bartosz Florek - he's 19 and had great second round in the team. He might be our future star. If not, there is Romachów Y001B who might develop to a decent player. As you can see, there are still some gaps to fill if we want to become Ekstraklasa side. I hope that the next youth intakes will be generous in terms of central positions. I don't think our facilities upgrade will affect the next intake, but it should get better over time.
  12. Stomil Olsztyn | 2023-24 Season - Winter Break Report | Fortuna 1. Liga NOT GREAT, NOT TERRIBLE Schedule League Table We are truely underdogs in this league. We spend the least at wages and are really harmless up front. My aim was to limit overall chances in our matches, but it was working only at the beginning of the season. My personal goal was to keep xGA below 1.0 in every game, but our defense was quite leaky. We've also conceded ridiculous amount of 7 penalties in 20 games, while having only 1 such chance up front. We've also had 5 red cards. I have to reconsider the roles of central defenders perhaps. We are 0 points free of relegation zone and the league is very tight. I've expected that having slightly above 1 pt/game should ensure our survival but it may not be the case. The main problem this season is very poor performance up front, with our strikers scoring 3 goals between them in 20 games. Not great, eh? But it's not like they've had tons of chances. We've started the season with 0:5 loss to a non-league team in FA cup but after that we've had the best period in terms of performance. We've earned 13 points in 10 games, restricting opponents' chances really well. We've had 5 clean sheets in that period. We were even quite unlucky during that games. Unfortunately, our performances started to drop since October. We've scored some lucky points but were worse in almost every game. At the end, we've lost even two final home games, despite being unbeaten at home for the first 7 games (with 6 clean sheets). Maybe I've made some mistakes with my training schedules? Player Stats I'm also a bit pessimistic for the future. It's gonna be hard to keep any half-decent player in the squad. I've already lost 5-star talent (Łukasz Borkowski) at the start of the season, and I know that I'll lose Maciej Spychała and Werick Caetano in June. I don't have any idea how I could perform this challenge, with only few potentially Ekstraklasa-level players in the squad. It's gonna be really challenging to even keep them at the squad. We're the underdogs, but level of the squad will be probably dropping in the coming years, so lots of struggle ahead. Especially, having the board that's already turned down 11 out of 11 requests, but I've expected that it may be pointless to ask them anything in the first season. Transfers Current Squad Youth Intake Preview I've also had some intake preview. It's going to be epic! I don't think it will be a long challenge but I'll keep you updated!
  13. Hello everyone! I've decided to join the thread, as this is the challenge suited for me. I was the fan of building my clubs on newgens from my academy, so applying all those rules to my save have to be fun! I was thinking about taking over Kotwica Kołobrzeg, as this is the closest club to where I live, but they're already on this topic, so I've picked Stomil Olsztyn to bring them back to their former glory! (They've already played in Ekstraklasa.) The club is in debt €1,000,000, but I think that my style of managing will heal the finances. We are expected to try to avoid relegation, so it should be a calm start of my career, as long as I won't get relegated. I've got no future transfers in, so another good news! Here is our saviour: My first task will be to complete the backroom staff. Plenty of freedom here! I've got around €50K per annum to spend, so world class specialists are out of reach for the moment.
