FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Robbie Hood replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
For sure! That`s unfortunately what can happen when we don´t get more official information... Just really hope they include a dark and light skin option in the base game with the switch to Unity. -
FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Robbie Hood replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
I hope this is a big hint for a light and dark skin in FM25. When scrolling down the website the background switches from dark to light and the font colors do the opposite. https://www.footballmanager.com/games/football-manager-25 -
FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Robbie Hood replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
It should be coming from the official account. I don`t have Twitter/X so if Miles posts any additional info there i have to wait for someone on this forum to copy/paste it. Of course he can post about the game as much as he wants, but it should never be info that is not also easily available from the official channels. -
FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Unlike most i actually like the screenshots, but i totally agree with your comment. I find it incredibly unprofessional for Miles to post specific information about the game/roadmap on X. Why not have all the information coming from the official channels? -
FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

I´m probably way off. We probably won`t be getting high end graphics like these for FM25, but the delay is causing me to speculate more than i should. -
FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Robbie Hood replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
I´m thinking along the same lines. What if the images that started being released for FM23 and 24 are taken from the work on the new Unity engine? I especially found this picture for FM24 almost like a teaser. We have been told that they are working on a new engine with improved graphics for a few years and then a picture like this is released. Could this be a sign of things to come? -
FM 25 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Robbie Hood replied to OmnissiahMasteR's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
Sure it would be nice to get more updates about FM25, but Miles was crystal clear about the timeline in the development update: Football Manager 25’s release date will be confirmed in early September, with pre-orders opening at the same time. We’ll begin unveiling new gameplay elements shortly thereafter. https://www.footballmanager.com/news/development-update-football-manager-25 -
When will si releases news from the FM 25?
Robbie Hood replied to deltasfd11's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
Nice to get an update from Miles, but somewhat disappointing that there were no screenshots of the graphics used. Would be great to see just a tiny something from the match engine or the newgen faces. Just need to be patient and wait for further news i guess I think i got my hopes up too high with this quote from Miles in the blog post a year ago. By this point that I’m sure that most of you are asking the same question – when can we see what this all looks like? https://www.footballmanager.com/news/future-football-manager -
When will si releases news from the FM 25?
Robbie Hood replied to deltasfd11's topic in Football Manager General Discussion
Definately no promise has been made, but i doubt very much that the PL licensing would be considered as a major reveal. This is what Miles wrote: https://www.footballmanager.com/news/future-football-manager The line "when can we see what this all looks like" probably means images of the improved matchday graphics and user interface, not an announcement of PL licensing. I am hoping for a major reveal thursday or friday next week when there are no matches being played at the Euros -
Since we now have entered Q2 of 2024, when do we think we will get the first major reveal of FM25? Miles wrote this on The Future of Football Manager-blog: THE BIG QUESTION By this point that I’m sure that most of you are asking the same question – when can we see what this all looks like? Well, as mentioned earlier, we've had resource on FM25 for some time now, building towards a key milestone at the end of 2023. So, this means we're aiming for the first major FM25 reveal in Q2 of 2024. https://www.footballmanager.com/news/future-football-manager

With the licensing being so crazy, why can SI have all the names of the worlds footballers and even represent them with correct height, weight, skin colour, hair colour etc. in the match engine without being impacted by licensing? Is it because the match engine is very "vague" and the players are show from afar and not in any detail? But if the stadiums are used in the same way it will be obvious breach of licensing because of the clarity/size of the stadium?

Tactics Hub During Match Resets
Robbie Hood commented on SJMurfin's issue in User Interface (Closed For New Issues)
I don`t get this EVERY time, but often enough to make me annoyed. When i want to make subs i always prefer to drag players into the big tactic overview (second image). So when this option is not by default it leads to one extra click, which doesn`t sound too bad, but it gets annoying over time. -
Question about adding settings in the 3D match
Robbie Hood replied to GOODNAME's topic in Skinning Hideout
I was going to ask if anyone could make a skin with just the shouts option added to the lower menu, when the subs bench is minimized. With the default skin you only get the tactics&subs option in the lower left corner. I always play my matches with the subs bench minimized to get a bigger picture of the pitch as well as getting space for more options in the touchline tablet. This means that for every time i want to give a shout to my team i have to click lower right to bring up the subs bench - click the desired shout - click lower right again to minimize subs bench. Instead this could be done with just one click if the shout option was added to the skin. I know there are great skins available that have this option, but i am so used to the default skin and just want this one change. I know nothing about altering the skins and of course i can try to learn all about it, but this will probably take me hours - an experienced skinner might do this in minutes? -
In the headline feature reveal video James asks about two things regarding the Champions League: at the start of the match when the players come out with music and trophy lifts at the end. The answer is that both those areas will be affected by the changes to FM23....but it`s unclear to me if there was a misunderstanding to the question here. I`ve seen others asking this as well. So hopefully someone from SI can clarify this: will the Champions League hymn be played in FM23 before games?

I don`t know if this is happening in all the different leagues/countries in FM22, but so far in my save game with Nottingham Forest in England i have not seen the shadows from the stadium roofs come from any other side than from the left. This means that all the stadiums are located in the same directon of the sky/sun. So my suggestion is to adjust the shadows / placement of stadiums to get more varied shadows in the different matches/stadiums. For examples of how little variation there is in FM22 look at these different stadiums/shadows. The shadow always comes from the left.

When a player is given praise for his recent form i get this message. But the ratings for the last 5 games are in grey: This should be changed to have the same colours as when viewing the players form:
-
In the tactical meeting - Pre-match tactical advice you get the option if the changes should be made for All matches or Next Match Only. There should be a way to set this as default to Next Match Only. I like to do the pre-match tactical advice on a game-to-game basis, so now i have to make this extra click for every single game.

I don`t have any examples from real life of this happening, but i think this would be a nice small feature: - Let the manager decide the pitch pattern for the season. There are many different pitch patterns available and they seem to be randomly assigned. I get a totally different feeling from playing a game on a pitch with a circle pattern (terrible) and the checkered pattern (great). I don`t think it`s unrealistic for a manager to have their views of preferred pitch pattern made to the person responsible for the pitch.
