  1. END OF AUGUST TRANSFER WINDOW TORINO The first transfer window of the season has concluded and alongside the transfers in the previous post a few more deals crossed the line before deadline day. *NEW DEALS ARE INSIDE () Players OUT Nemanja Radonjic £10m Sporting Lisbon returned from loan we don't use wide players or a CAM and at 28 years old decided to cash in. Antonio Sanabria £6.5m Alaves flop of the season 1 goal in 28 appearances (14 starts 14 sub) also 28 glad to see the back of him. Yann Karamoah £2.5m Rangers. Again returned from loan and not needed. Various other players totalling around £1.5m and then loads more poor youth players released for free. (Vojvoda £12m Roma. As mentioned above last year of contract and no interest in a new deal.) (Perr Schurrs £42.5m Al-Nassr. A sad deal but had became unsettled and a high fee meant we were forced into the sale.) (Vanja Milinkovic Savic £15m Al-Hilal. Not the goalkeeper I wanted long term so decision was made to sell.) Players IN Alessandro Macrandalli FREE Genoa. Young CB with a lot of potential Rodriguez long term replacement ITALIAN. Duvan Zapata FREE Atalanta. Made up for his poor early season form with 14 goals and 5 assists will bring experienced cover in the ST department. Lower wage too. Lorenzo Colombo £6.5m Milan. Happy with this deal him and Pellegri to lead the line for years to come. ITALIAN Maximiliano Araujo £4.5m Toluca. Needed a WBL as Vojvoda is on the last year of his contract and wont re-sign. Manu Bueno £1.5m Sevilla. I think he is a steal at this price not massively rated by the scouts but potential to hopefully improve. Matteo Prati £6m Cagliari. They got relegated and we got a bargain, again scope to develop which hopefully he can will get games this year. ITALIAN (Ibrahima Bamba £10m Al-Duhail. That was his release clause he replaces Schurrs also ITALIAN.) (Stefano Turati £10.25m Sassuolo. Savic replacement long term and made a £5m profit ITALIAN.) (Giovanni Fabian £11.75m Inter. A rotation option in midfield with the increased schedule but there may be a good player there. ITALIAN) QUICK SEASON UPDATE The club is currently in 6th place in the league which I'm happy with at this stage in the season. We sit only 1 point away from the top four but INTER and MILAN are takin a healthy lead over us already. As you can see on the top scorer front Pietro Pellegri is on fire and hopefully the injuries will stay away for the remainder of the season. New signing Araujo is also settling in well getting himself in the top assists chart. One transfer we did miss out on during the transfer window would have made the team complete in my opinion. Rivals JUVENTUS agreed to sell us Fagioli for only £32 million but they demanded that they signed a replacement before they would let him move. Sadly at the end they never found the right player and the deal fell through meaning a player we were looking to sell also had to have his deal cancelled.
  2. Torino Season Update Well the first season with Torino is over and where do I begin? We basically replicated Bologna in real life but did a little better. Ultimately we ended the season with no silverware but I'm absolutely delighted with the team regardless. We even led the Serie A table for around 10 games which was incredible but ultimately fell short to a rampant AC Milan side. I have played management games since Sensible world of soccer in the Amiga days and every iteration of Championship Manager/ Football Manager and never had a season like this. Literally everything just clicked, I made it my goal to play a 5-3-2 formation as that is what the club is made for and I had a tactic I created on another save which I thought might be useful with a few tweaks and this is the result. We actually took 2nd place on the final day as Fiorentina dropped points as we won Lazio 1-0 to secure 2nd and Champions league football next season. Despite our successful league campaign and Champions League qualification the board only gave us £1.8m for the following season so sales were needed to build on this season. Karol Linetty left in January to join Al Nassr for £6m he was only being used as a rotation option so we cashed in. In the new season several players left and have joined the club. Players OUT Nemanja Radonjic £10m Sporting Lisbon returned from loan we don't use wide players or a CAM and at 28 years old decided to cash in. Vojvoda wont sign a new deal and has one year left on his contract. We have accepted £12m from 3 clubs Feyernord, Roma and Fiorentina. Hopefully one goes through. Players IN Alessandro Macrandalli FREE Genoa. ITALIAN From our youth intake nothing at all to be excited about and cant see any of this batch making it to the first team despite it being a A graded intake. Next season I'm expecting a big fall off and nothing like the performances we had this season. We have also been handed a terrible first five games to start the new season as you can see below.
  3. Yeah even though I'm not too far into the first season yet. I started with the first transfer window disabled so no players in or out. I have settled on a 3-5-2 tactic as that is what I felt best suited the players at the club and will try and remain with a variant of this throughout the save. I did a complete overhaul of the backroom staff. I don't think one single coach survived. Fixture wise we started Serie A with two difficult games with AC Milan at home and Juventus in the Derby away. We took an early lead against Milan before falling behind 2-1 then managed an equaliser in the 75th minute and held on for a point. Against Juventus we played ok but a superb freekick from Vlahovic put them ahead before he doubled there tally with a 2nd half header. A single point from the first two games wasn't the best of starts but then some tremendous form against teams of similar or slightly stronger ability has seen us shoot up the table. As you can see Fiorentina have been the surprise package winning all 7 of there matches including games against Atalanta and Napoli. And despite the defeat to Juventus we find ourselves five points clear of our rivals. I did manage to sign Buongiorno and Pellegri to five year contracts whilst Ricci has signed a five year contract with an optional 2 year clause for the club meaning we wont be forced to lose our star players. As for form Pellegri has been sensational with 4 goals in 6 Serie A starts and 1 in his only game in the cup. Other players who are really performing this season are Ciammaglichella who scored on his debut and his season stats read played 3 scored 2 assists 2 MOM 1 rating 7.73 Bellanova has been insane in his 7 games at WBR 2 goals and 3 assists rating 7.66 Schurrs, Vojvoda, Lazaro and Ricci are also performing really well. I'm a little disappointed in Zapata he is a player who in previous games I have gotten a lot out of him but he has a low rating and only one goal in 7 so is unlikely to stay as he is now being rotated out of the starting XI
  4. After a good bit of time away due to some unfortunate real life events its nice to come back on here and have a catch up with whats been going on. Both @AceCream and @delpiero19 seem to be having very good times at Parma and as we sit in the later side of the games cycle I wanted to give my beloved Italian League one more save before the new game drops later in the year. I will do a bigger update on the save soon but the club I have selected is going to be TORINO. The aim for the save is simple build a nice Italian core of players and try and win there first Serie A title since 1976 They also start with a group of extremely talented Italians Samuele Ricci 21 years old Alessandro Buongiorno 24 years old Raoul Bellanova 23 years old Pietro Pellegri 22 years old Pellegri is a difficult one because whilst the talent is very much there some serious injuries have effected his development. But lacking the financial power that the big clubs have some clever dealings in the transfer market is going to be a must to achieve our goals. I also want to promote as many youth players as possible and from the first youth intake onwards one player will be in the starting XI or on the bench at all times.
  5. No players with BANS sus icon next to there name and if you click on the player profile screen it shows when it expires (Bottom right of screenshot)
  6. Paul Pogba is back. Yildiz has had massive upgrade in some saves seen him and Iling Junior both hit around 177 PA Pogba banned until 30/06/2025 in game
  7. I know but at 29 his stats are going to fall off in the near future and a he was wanting a new contract on higher wage £73k per week which would see him be in the top 4 earners at the club on around 5% of our total wage bill. It allowed us to sign Carnesschi and save £20k on wages £40k if we gave Cataldi his new deal and still bank £4m in profit.
  8. Yeah Provedel been solid for me too really good ratings but at 29 I felt I needed a good understudy. We just beat Atletico in the home leg 1-0 but Immobile tore a muscle and is out for 3 weeks minimum
  9. End Of Transfer Window / Season Start Well @TheJanitor great minds think alike at Lazio because before the transfer window closed we also brought in EMILE SMITH ROWE as cover in the wide positions and at CAM we wont be making the deal permanent as he isn't an Italian player and that is the clubs direction under myself. A deal which we didn't receive the true value from was CATALDI going to West Ham for only £12m but he had to be sacrificed to free up funds to bring in our 7th Italian of the window in MARCO CARNESECCHI for £8m who will be rotating the first team position throughout the season. FINAL SIGNING'S 1st TRANSFER WINDOW Very happy with the window overall as I said adding 7 Italians to the club is massive in regards to where we want the future of this club. A lot of potential in these players to develop and dominate Rome for years to come. As for the tricky start.......we smashed it. Two goals from Felipe Anderson and one for both Zaccagni and Immobile saw us brush Juventus away and get the perfect start. Immobile opened the scoring against Milan before 2 goals without reply saw us trailing until the 94th minute when Immobile again found the net to secure us an important point. Fiorentina fell to another goal from Immobile and Felipe Anderson with Baldanzi making his debut from the bench and bagging two goals in the process. Next up the Capitale Derby against AS ROMA. The match was a fantastic game and the 4-0 scoreline flatters us a little bit but we will take it. They had more shots but 2 less on target our XG was within 0.5 of each other and they even had more possesion 54% to our 46% but at the end of the day goals win games Zaccagni, Anderson, Guendouzi scored for us as well as Smith Rowe introducing himself to the Lazio faithful in the best possible way on his debut. Everything going great now for the champions league draw. One of our fans had a little message of hope before the draw......... Well CARLO they didn't!!!!!!! An absolutely shocking group with German giants Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid looking likely to advance to the next stage. The games against Galatasaray will be massive just to see if we can make the Europa League. The fact the club doesn't have many home grown players means we also go into the competition with just 21 out of a possible 25 players. Plans for January are to offload PEDRO 36 years old on £46,500 per week SPANISH MATIAS VECINO 32 years old on £58,000 per week URUGUAYAN ANDRE ANDERSON 23 years old £15,250 per week BRAZILIAN (Not good enough) And maybe a few more fringe players who haven't played enough games.
  10. Thankyou. Hopefully they will develop. Nice to see you managing Lazio too Good Luck.
  11. TRANSFERS First off we completely culled all the staff at the club and rebuilt from the ground up finishing with our new Assistant Manager and a player I admired a lot growing up as a Juventus fan. Who later also played for Lazio for several seasons. Angelo Peruzzi He will be helping out from time to time with the training of the players and various other tasks should we need the help. PLAYERS IN As you can probably tell there is a certain theme when it came to recruitment this season. We wanted young talented Italians who can grow into the clubs system. Young Ravaglioli came in from Bologna after we offered a contract and paid the compensation. A talented young striker who could hopefully fill the Immobile gap in a few seasons. Two goals in 1 start and 1 substitute appearance in pre season was encouraging and already his stats are on the rise. Expect some easier league game minutes alongside some cup games. Next up we have Luis Hasa on a loan deal from Juventus with a £5.5m option should we decide to keep him. I done a Beta save with Juventus and he turned out pretty good and can cover every position in the midfield area. Again expect some game time in easier league games and cups. Diego Coppola oozes potential and at a mere £5.5m was a no brainer to strengthen the CB position for years to come. Not quite first team standard at the minute but will get a big chance to develop as the depth in the CB position is pretty weak and injuries are certain throughout the season. Another signing we made will be mentoring him as he develops. The most expensive of our recruits is Tommaso Baldanzi at £7.5m ready to start some games from the off the first season could be a big year for him. Can play in a couple of positions and roles so a big decision will need to be made as to where his main position will be. I don't feel I need to explain this transfer.........Look at those stats! Yes he is 39 years old but Chiellini can still do a job and at only £325k how could I say no. He will be mentoring some of the young players coming through the ranks and also helps bridge a void in the CB depth for the starting 11 until funds can be arranged to sign a good starting CB for the long term. And finally Giacomo Faticanti. I feel like Roma missed a trick when they let him leave in real life and despite being new to Leece they were happy to allow him to join on loan for a fee of £1.4m and an optional future fee of £2.5m which is an absolute bargain. I would have bought him outright but because he had just joined his current team he wouldn't agree to a permanent move straight away. He completes an extremely talented group of youngsters we have in the middle of the park who can hopefully grow up together to become a force not just in Lazio but in the national team together too. SALES These are the players who have currently left the club as of the first league game of the season. More will follow before the end of the transfer window. Speaking of the start of the season after a pretty chill pre season gaining confidence with some good performances the RNG gods have frowned upon us with a SHOCKING set of fixtures to kick off SERIE A
  12. ACR Messina fit the bill only 7 players out of the 25 first team players are over the age of 26 with a whopping 12 first team players being younger than 22. Another interesting reason to pick them is they are from the Isle of Sicily. And no football club from Sicily has ever won a Serie A title.
  13. I'm going to be doing a bottom half Serie A team or a lower league Italian save at a later date but the first thing I want to do is a Lazio rebuild. No league title since the 1999/00 season which then seen there main rivals AS ROMA take it away from them by winning the 2000/01 title. A surprise runner-up spot last season gives false hope in a squad which is definitely going through a transitional period. Gone is the midfield maestro Milinkovic Savic and rock at the back Francesco Acerbi. With the money being put to good use bringing in younger talent which was much needed at the club in troublesome ex Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi and Juventus hot prospect Nicolo Rovella. A massive fifteen players in the first team squad are 28 years or older with Pedro at 35 and Immobile at 33 leading the way. Ciro Immobile is the star at the club and the one who will be very hard to replace. Ever present since making the move to Lazio in the 2016/17 season he has amassed 162 league goals in just 7 seasons and is currently the top scorer in the clubs entire history. I want to develop some youth whilst at the club and hopefully have some Rome natives in the side who could be future Captains of the club. Finding a adequate Immobile replacement will be top priority as father time isn't on the strikers side. Roma lead us in both Serie A titles (3) to (2) and Coppa Italia trophies (9) to (7) in Europe we are both on 0 in both the Champions League and Europa League. It's time to make this club a place players want to come to play at the peak of there powers like the late 90's early 2000's Nedved is one of my footballing idol's so I will be looking for a AML from the Czech Republic if a decent one comes available. Will update once the staff etc are sorted and we have began our league campaign. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE MANAGING IN ITALY LETS MAKE FM24 A YEAR TO REMEMBER
  14. Yeah it looks like a real challenge but as you said it will make success even sweeter. Faticanti and Dorgu look perfect to be built around.
  15. I also have a Juve Beta save going and he is doing well for the B team 7.68 rating in 31 games but nowhere near the standard to be promoted at the minute. Im in first season and made no signings with a 3 point lead at the top. (MAIN SAVE TO START SOON)
  16. Nice to see you back in here. Always like following your Parma exploits. Really struggled to settle on a long term save this year.
  17. Messina is a fantastic challenge. Expected to finish 14/20 in Serie C Girone C so not favourites like you asked but their biggest draw is their location SICILY. No Sicilian football club has ever won the Serie A title. They play in a 38,722 seater stadium which in real life has a beautiful but different design style. Several off the pitch problems have seen them demoted and folding on a couple of occasions first bankruptcy then sporting fraud. This team deserves a break and someone to lead them to the promised land.
  18. I convinced myself too much lol been playing on my mind all night. Im going in .
  19. Not sure if you have started but Torino would be a great shout. One of the Italian leagues most dominant sides back in the day 8 Serie A titles leaves them 5th in the all time list ahead of teams such as Roma, Lazio, Napoli and Fiorentina. Their last title however was way back in 1976 which means 47 years without a league title. There team is perfectly set to play a 5-3-2 tactic and around a squad which oozes potential they have there star gem Samuele Ricci who at only 21 years of age has a massive future ahead of him, oh and guess what he can play as a DM or CM and his favourite role is DEEP LYING PLAYMAKER. They have around 14 players under the age of 23 who can all turn out really good. With 19 nationalities in the first team squad it's a very diverse group. Will you continue this philosophy going forward or try to bring a more Italian core back to Turin? Can you win the clubs first domestic cup since 1993 or finally end your city rivals dominance and reclaim yourselves as the biggest club in the town? Even writing this has me thinking of starting a save there.
  20. It might be the fact that being able to do so in the first place was seen as a bug by SI. I mean U19 teams have there own managers who look after them and take care of there training so it would be there job/duty to discipline the players for poor performances or poor training not the first team coach.
  21. Noticed on the winter update when setting the season start date in the future the game no longer seems to take into account how the current season is unfolding. For example I have just started a save and selected the start date to be from Uruguay first matches in 2023 Copa sudamericana (06/03/2023) as this is only 2 days off todays date. I go to La Liga and see Valencia bottom of the table 7 points from safety after 26 games and think to myself this is the perfect way to start the save. So I take over the club but am shocked to see my seasonal objective be record a top half finish in La Liga with importance set at REQUIRED. To double check I added a second manager to manage LEEDS who were bottom of the premiership and again they had their premier league plan as "Become an established Premier League team" IMPORTANCE - REQUIRED. (Make sure the team avoids a Premier League relegation battle within the stated timeframe. They are rock bottom with only 11 games left to play of course it's going to be a relegation battle. Before the update no matter what club you were you would rather get attempt to avoid relegation or make sure you avoid relegation. Both would have been useful in this situation but the Valencia one is crazy to expect top half of the table. there 19 points away from 10th place who have a game in hand which could make it 22 points. If you won 7 games in a row and drew one you would require them not to get a single point in there 8 games just to draw level with 4 games to go. It's almost impossible. UPDATE Just checked an even better example I just tested is with Hearts from Scotland. Club vision for end of the current season is Qualify for the Uefa Europa Conference league through the domestic league. That means finish 4th or 5th yet after 28 games Hearts are bottom with only 19 points whilst 5th place have 39 points 20 more than us. The league splits in half after 33 games in Scotland meaning in the 5 games remaining before the split we can finish with a maximum total of 34 points meaning the board objective is physically impossible to reach as 7th place after 28 games is already on 35 points meaning if every team around us lost all there games the highest we could hit is 8th.
  22. Bamford has barely changed at all. His finishing has went down 5 but his composure has seen a 5 increase. Literally every single stat is the same apart from these (MINUS) FINISHING -5 LONG SHOTS -1 TECHNIQUE -1 AGILITY -1 NATURAL FITNESS -1 (PLUS) ANTICIPATION +1 COMPOSURE +5 DECISIONS +1 OFF THE BALL +1 POSITIONING +1 VISION +2
