  1. On the new winter update released today 2nd March 2023 Juventus have the -15 points as they do in real life. However first season they are predicted to finish 20th with odds of 1000-1 to win the league lower than teams like Leece, Spezia etc the board also want the club to avoid relegation as the Serie A aim. This would never be the case. Also the clubs five year plan has the Serie A aim to avoid relegation every single season for the next 5 years.
  2. On the new winter update if managing Juventus your Serie A aim for the first season and every year of the 5 year plan is to avoid relegation from Serie A
  3. The club’s target for their opening two seasons after promotion was simply to stay in the Premier League, so with that objective achieved, Leeds can crack on, right? Not so fast. Following a ninth-place finish by going down to the relegation wire with Burnley left everyone shell-shocked, and what felt like natural next steps – progress towards Europe, work on expanding Elland Road – don’t seem that simple any more. Instead of building on Marcelo Bielsa’s legacy, Leeds blew it all up, and 2022-23 feels like starting again in the unknown. The rush to sign players – two from Jesse Marsch’s former employers, Salzburg – suggests planned rebuilding, but dealing with high-profile departures might be the biggest test of the new coach while making his ‘energy drink football’ work. Key injuries to the Whites’ spine proved crippling, as were a joint-league-high 19 goals conceded from set-pieces, and if the former were truly down to Bielsa’s training methods, then there should be provisions made to ensure there’s no repeat. Otherwise, the big lesson resembles Howard Wilkinson’s old maxim: ‘Fail to prepare; prepare to fail’. Nobody saw a bad second season coming, and nobody knew what to do when it arrived. Leeds won’t get away with that twice in this Premier League, and their hopes won’t be enhanced by hero Raphinha following Manchester City-bound Kalvin Phillips out the door. Leeds United Football Club were founded in October 1919, taking the place in the Midland League vacated by Leeds City Reserves, and were elected to The Football League for the 1920–21 season. They won the Second Division title four years later to gain promotion to the top tier of English football, but had to wait almost 50 years before winning any major silverware, with success in the 1968 Football League Cup Final accompanied by success in Europe in the final of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. The following season brought league success when Leeds won the First Division championship. Their success continued into the 1970s with victory in the 1971 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Final, the 1972 FA Cup Final, another league title in the 1973–74 season and runners-up in the 1975 European Cup Final. Leeds won the Second Division title in the 1989–90 season and were promoted back to the First Division. A third league title in the 1991–92 season, a second FA Charity Shield in the 1992 FA Charity Shield and a semi-final appearance in the UEFA Champions League in 2001, preceded a period of turbulence which culminated in relegation to League One in the 2006–07 season. They dropped out of the top two tiers of English football for the first time in their history, in a season that saw them deducted ten points for going into administration. In 2010, Leeds United were promoted back into the Championship. Ten years later, in 2020, the club were promoted back to the Premier League after a 16-year absence. Leeds United have won the League Championship three times, four Second Division titles, the FA Cup once, the EFL Cup once, the Charity Shield twice and the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup twice. All these honours were won under the management of either Arthur Fairclough, Don Revie, Howard Wilkinson and Marcelo Bielsa . The club have also been runners-up five times in the League Championship, three times in the FA Cup, once each in the EFL Cup, the Charity Shield, the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, the Cup Winners' Cup and the European Cup, and lost the play-off to keep the Inter-City Fairs Cup trophy. First Team Squad By Premier League standards you have a very average squad with only 6 players in the whole team to be rated higher than 3 star current ability and none of the 6 are higher than 3.5 stars. I suppose the best counter to this is that the squad has some amazing potential. Below I will list the key players at the club and the best youth products for the season ahead. Luckily you also start with an impressive £25m transfer budget and around £70k left in wages to improve on the current squad. I would definitely look to shift some players on to increase this further Key Players Let's start with your number one goalkeeper ILLAN MESLIER. Just look at them stats and you will see at only 22 years of age MESLIER is already a terrific goalkeeper. With low wages of £40k p/w and a contract until 2026 this is an area you should not need to touch. Backup wise you have JOEL ROBLES who just joined the club on a free transfer he only has a one year contract and is on the same salary as MESLIER despite being nowhere near as good. Attempt to sell or loan him out to remove the wages. January may be your best option with him only recently joining. LUIS SINISTERRA is a new signing at the club and already one of the strongest options. Comfortable on either side of the pitch and also willing to cover in the ST position should you need him to. Another long contract means you shouldn't have to worry about him in the near future. Next up we have a decision to make. Yes Rodrigo is one of the best players at the club but he is also a player who raises a few questions. He is listed on par with PATRICK BAMFORD as the strongest striker at the club but at 31 is three years older than BAMFORD. He also is on a seriously high wage at £100k p/w. So do you keep him as your main man/cover for the season or cash in on his £11m-£17m price tag and lose the £100k wages. He is only going to decline from here so the choice is yours. TYLER ADAMS is another player who can be a mainstay in the club for years. A contract until 2027 can give you peace of mind going forward and a reasonable wage of £60k p/w means even an improved contract down the line shouldn't break the bank. Versatile in a lot of positions gives you the coach a lot of freedom in how you want him to develop. Do you want to keep in the centre of the pitch, push him slight back to the DM role or go completely crazy and make him your wing back going forward. Other notable mentions include PATRICK BAMFORD (ST) MARCO ROCA (DM)(MC) and JACK HARRISON (AMR)(AML) The Prospects (Now some of these players have variable potential ability which means how good they will get will differ on each save) A lot of Leeds and football fans will already be aware of JOE GELHARDT's talents. Still only 20 years of age the Englishman has the potential to be very good in game. First season or two you could loan him out or use him as a rotation/cup player he may also get more game time depending on what you decide to do with RODRIGO. His contract is due to expire in 2024 so negotiate this early to keep the increase to a minimum. Net up is CHARLIE CRESSWELL who starts the save on loan to rivals Millwall. His stats should see him get some game time in the championship and hopefully continue his development. Again an English talent he could lead the back line of your Leeds team for the next 15 years if you can get him to reach his potential. And finally ARCHIE GRAY. This is the player who could truly become World Class. At only 16 years of age at the start of the save with well balanced stats he is the future of Leeds United. He starts on a £160 youth contract which expires 30/06/2023 your very first priority should be IMMEDIATELY SIGNING HIM TO A NEW LONG TERM CONTRACT. As soon as the save loads. Don't meet the players don't look for signings GIVE HIM A CONTRACT. Again how you develop him is upto you. Will you decide to loan him to a team hoping he gets some game time? Keep him in the youth team to learn your tactics and way of playing? Or move him up to the first team to be mentored and play in easier games and cup ties? As far as club expectations they want you to avoid a relegation battle which with the £25m investment and standard of squad should easily be attainable. There is many ways you can approach this save, do you continue using the Leeds academy to bring youth into your squad? Do you try to bring some Italian flair into the club to impress the owner? Maybe bring some Argentinian talent over to Yorkshire in a mark of respect to Bielsa. Whatever you decide this is a team that has went from the top to the bottom and Champions League football is due back at Elland Road. MOT
  4. For the full back if Parisi has left Empoli he may not be getting enough game time he is really good. Josh Doig might be a shout. But hard to know who would be loan listed
  5. What kind of budget are we talking and what season?
  6. This is a good place to start with a whole ton of templates. https://fmkitcreator.com
  7. A.C Cesena Season Update. As I mentioned before I had unfinished business at this club following a failed save in last years game. Let's start off with the league table and although we are 8 points clear at the halfway stage with a MASSIVE goal difference it hasn't been all plain sailing. Up until match day 13 we were bouncing between first and second place and Gubbio were unbeaten. A dip in our form and tactical change seen us get 7 wins from the last 8 games and put pressure on those below us. The reason for the massive goal difference is down to the two starting strikers at the club who have both been in fantastic form throughout the year. First up the KING going into pre-season he had a tremendous record and had already established himself as my first choice for the start of the season. The fact that he was trained at Juventus who I support at youth level makes it even sweeter for me. A record of 11 goals in 18 starts where he is shooting above his XG has proved valuable for the club and at only 25 there is a lot more left in the tank. Next up a man I thought I was going to phase out of the club Simone Corazza. At 31 years of age earning the 2nd most wages things weren't looking great for him but boy has he proved me wrong. An incredible return of 10 goals in 15 games where he is more than doubling his XG and has a 60% shot on target percentage has seen him become a valuable member of the starting 11 at least until we advance to the next division. I also wanted to do a quick shoutout to Matteo Francesconi who at only 18 years of age finds himself capped at Italy U19 level and also breaking into the first team with some fantastic performances. He already has 2 goals for the club from the middle of the park and currently has a very respectable 7.22 rating from the games he has played. And finally our Youth Intake Preview for the season. I have learnt to take these with a pinch of salt but any decent kind of players from this will be very valuable going forward as the clubs finances are heading in the wrong direction and maybe youth Is the only solution going forward to keep the club in a secure position.
  8. Just had an update 154.7mb but haven't seen an announcement I last played 3days ago so its since then any ideas?
  9. Fantastic first season. To be that close to top 4 season one with Torino is awesome. Its made all the sweeter finishing ahead of Inter and relegating them to the conference league
  10. He hasn't really clicked with the tactic I'm working with at the minute only one goal in 5 I believe. The Schpendi twins are doing great Stiven has 7 goals in 6 games from the wing and his brother 4 from 6 games upfront. Also trying to avoid the rapid promotions so if we do go up this season and start well in Serie B a may hold the team back until we are actually ready for Serie A because currently there is a chance this could be a complete youth only save.
  11. Sorry only just seen your message. The logos are included in the Sortitoutsi megapack not come across the kits though.
  12. I certainly will. Ironic too I always mean to start a save in Germany but I don't give myself chance to get into it then head back to Italy. It just has a thing over me. Italian football in the 90s, 00s was something special.
  13. Yeah hopefully he stays he is wanted by 16 clubs at the start including the likes of Sassualo and is only on a youth contract just waiting to see his contract reply. His current ability seems a good bit behind the two older starters though so he will probably get cup games and bench time. Even Shpendi beats him in almost every department and he will be rotated but is realistically 5th best.
  14. Finally decided on my Italian team for FM23.......Cesena. There is a few reasons why I have chosen this particular club. 1. I have managed there in the past and failed. 2. The standard of the youth facilities and youth recruitment not only for the division but the whole of Italian football as youth will play a big part. 3. Lack of silverware. Despite a few seasons in both Serie B and Serie A they have never won any of the competitions or any domestic or European trophies. 4.They have a set of identical twins at the club who both look very usable. So the aim as always will be an eventual Serie A trophy and hopefully some form of European success with the Champions League being the pinnacle. But I don't want the usual save where sometimes success comes a little too early so there will be certain rules I will stick to throughout the save. 1. Always have one youth player in the staying XI and at least one named on the substitute bench. (Starting from the first youth intake) 2. Always have a positive net spend in each transfer window. 3. Only loan in a maximum of one player per season. Depending on how the save plays out more things may be added to mould the save in a different direction but im just delighted to be back managing in Italy once again. I may be English but my love for the leagues always brings me back.
  15. All 3 are very good Miretti in particular he has a variable PA which can make him one of the best in world from what I have seen.
  16. I hear you. MLS can be a very confusing place and if you think your circumstances are odd try and explain this one..... Gregore earns £13,500 per week but his salary cap impact is somehow £3,400 p/w. That makes the salary cap impact 75% less than his actual salary.
  17. In my game his contract is until 30/06/2024 at the start of the save.
  18. Serie B is looking an intriguing prospect this year. The teams are the most competitive I have seen in a long time. Lot of talented and historic clubs to choose from. Im debating starting my annual Italian save there.
  19. Love a Udinese save. Had a brilliant time there in last years game and as you said a lot of young talent.
  20. You could simulate first season until teams are decided for next season and repeat until they're promoted. I don't believe there is an Official Serie D add on yet
  21. Season Update Before The World Cup Begins So as mentioned in the previous post we had our trickiest run of games coming up before the winter World Cup break. Could we continue our 100% record in all competitions or would the fixture list finally get the better of us........ First up was the home game against Benfica where we managed a 4-1 victory with Robert Lewandowski getting his 4th Hat-Trick of the campaign. Valencia were up next and after a pretty tense first half we finished the game with a 4-2 victory away from home with Lewandowski scoring yet another Hat-Trick. Then came the purple patch, a single goal from Ramos saw Benfica snatch a 1-0 victory which was followed by a heartbreaking 3-2 defeat to Sevilla with the winner scored in the 90+5th minute. We came from behind to take a 2-1 lead before Gomez equalised and En-Nesryi stole the point away from us. Next up was Real Sociedad and again the team lacked any real conviction. An early goal by Lewandowski was soon cancelled out by Sociedad and who then took the lead. Thankfully Lewandowski was there again to salvage a point with a 74th minute equaliser. Yes you can see from the screenshot we met Bayern Munich again in the Champions League and fair to say they were bitter after the 6-1 drubbing at Camp Nou and well........they say a picture says a thousand words. We were completely outclassed from start to finish. We changed tactics, tempo, players you name it nothing worked. I don't think we had a single highlight until that first Lewandowski goal. He again was the only light in a very poor performance. Current form 4 games 1 draw 3 defeats Atletico Madrid to come. Im not sure if it was the embarrassment from the Bayern game or the rallying around after a team meeting but boy did we come back in style. Where do we start yes that name LEWANDOWSKI is there again 4 goals in the game. Ousmane Dembele with a goal and 3 assists everything went to plan. The first half surprisingly was a dull and awful display with one highlight for us and two for the visitors. Feeling like this dreadful run was going to continue I laid into the team at half time and criticised everyone individually. What followed was probably the best 45 minutes of football I have seen since I started playing these games in the Championship manager era. As for Europe we took a MASSIVE risk. Heading into the game the Table looked like this 1. Bayern Munich 5 games 12 points 2. Barcelona 5 games 9 points 3. Benfica 5 games 9 points 4. Ferencavaros 5 games 0 points With Benfica playing at home to Bayern Munich and us playing Ferencvaros at home we knew 3 points would be needed if Benfica won Bayern Munich. The problem was our squad was extremely tired with the run of fixtures and Lewandowski needed a rest. With such a small first team squad and a full rotation practically needed there was nobody to take up the ST position so I looked to my B team. In 11 games 18 year old Fabian Luzzi had managed 11 goals and that was enough for me to call him up to the biggest game of his career. I had my B and Youth teams training the first team tactic so knew he should be comfortable with the style of play. We played pretty well considering only Ter Stegen, Kounde and Fati are usually regulars and managed to win 3-1. Luzzi got a dream debut goal disallowed in the 83rd minute and I was upset at the thought his chance had passed but in the 89th minute he finished off the game with a fantastic strike. Things looked to be back on track and up next was the Derbi Barceloni and Espanyol would want to ruin our revival in the last game before the World Cup. Were Barcelona back???? Yes they were im not even going to write his name anymore but a certain somebody got another 4 goals to get to 7 Hat-Tricks for the season. As I said before he was judged to have been robbed from the Ballon D'or a couple of times when playing in Germany but looking at these stats surely he cannot be overlooked this season. Messi is completely out of the race at this point. 29 League goals in only 13 games 7 goals in 5 UCL games . For a total of 36 goals in 18 games ncluding 7 Hat-Tricks in all competitions.
  22. FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid CF The last decade has had two prominent figures attract attention: Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Argentine and the Portuguese, multiple winners of the Ballon d'Or, crossed paths with each other very often while they coincided in Spain. They did so in all competitions, not only in LaLiga but also Copa del Rey finals, Champions League semi-finals and even 'summer El Clásicos', with the Super Cup between Barça and Real Madrid a recurring event. Today we have Robert Lewandowski vs Karim Benzema both players hold the top two positions in the scoring charts and there teams both hold the top two positions in La Liga. Barcelona currently have a 100% record in the league with 7 victories from the opening 7 games. They have however had a easy run of games playing none of last seasons top 7 clubs yet. Real Madrid also remain unbeaten but in their 6 games have managed 5 wins and 1 draw. As far as attacking football goes in one game more Barcelona have scored 5 more goals than Madrid but Madrid have only conceded 2 goals to Barcelona's 5. Once again the betting companies put Barcelona as slight favourites in what will be a tight affair. Real Madrid will be without Luka Modric who is recovering from injury whilst Barcelona have no selection issues. As far as team selection goes Hector Bellerin keeps his place in the starting line up after recent displays meaning the only change in the squad following the demolition of Bayern Munich is Frankie De Jong getting the nod over Frank Kessie in the centre of the park. As for Real Madrid the main changes are Nacho and Mendy starting the game with Carvajal and Rudiger on the bench. The absence of Luka Modric who is recovering from his injury see's Tchouameni start in the CM position alongside Valverde with Modric sitting further back. THE MATCH Ok I know the purpose of this save was focused on Lionel Messi and one of my main dreams for the save was that 8th Ballon D'or but even at this early stage of the season (8 league games in) I think we can forget about that. Once again ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI is the main man with two goals, one of which was assisted by Messi see's him reach 16 yes SIXTEEN league goals in only 8 games so far this season and 18 in all competitions. Ansu Fati came off the bench to put the game to bed before Karim Benzema scored late on from a counter attack as Barcelona were playing very attacking in the hopes of a Lewandowski Hat-Trick in El Classico With a long way still to go this keeps the club on an eight game win streak in the league and 10 games in all competitions. Though the next seven games of the season will see the challenge ramp up significantly the future games are as follows H BENFICA UCL A VALENCIA LA LIGA A BENFICA UCL A SEVILLA LA LIGA A REAL SOCIEDAD LA LIGA A BAYERN MUNICH UCL H ATLETICO MADRID LA LIGA
  23. FC BARCELONA vs BAYERN MUNICH Matchday two in the Champions League will see Robert Lewandowski play against his former club for the first time since his switch. Both teams currently top there domestic leagues and are in good from. Bayern Munich will want to make Lewandowski regret forcing the switch and keep their 100% record intact. Fans and pundits give Barcelona a minor edge in what should be a fascinating encounter. Prior to this game the last meeting between these two in Europe saw Bayern Munich humiliate Barcelona at Camp Nou with an emphatic 8-2 victory in the 2019-20 Quarter Finals a result which fans continue to mock there opponents about. The teams lineup as follows with Barcelona opting for Gavi and Kessie in midfield over Frankie De Jong and Ousmane Dembele starting on the left as Ansu Fati struggles with his fitness. Hector Ballerin's recent performances have earned him a starting birth on the right side of defence and youngsters Ilias Akomach, Alejandro Balde and Pablo Torre make the bench. As for Bayern Munich Leon Goretzka misses the game due to being sent off in there first Champions League fixture and is replaced by Ryan Gravenberch and youngster Jamal Musiala gets the nod over the more experienced Leroy Sane on the wing. As for the match itself.........what a performance! Barcelona get revenge with a masterful 6-1 win. Pedri was absolutely sensational and received the perfect 10 match rating after dominating the midfield and finishing with 2 goals and an assist to his name. Messi also managed a goal and assist which puts him on 4 goals in the competition so far after scoring 3 in the first game. And LewanGOALski managed to score either side of the half to silence the Bayern Munich faithful. Leroy Sane did manage to get a consolation goal for the visitors from a direct free kick but Barcelona remain unbeaten and fired up after the result.
  24. First Update Season Start. As the save is about Lionel Messi's return to Barcelona let's see how he is getting on. As you can see from the screenshot he has made a sensational return to Camp Nou he has played every minute of the first 5 games and managed 4 goals and 5 assists. His 8.00 average puts him second in La Liga at this stage of the season which is a massive improvement from last seasons form at PSG. It's also worth noting this form has been achieved with Messi Occupying the AMR role in every game he has played. The reason Messi only ranks second in the average rating chart is the phenomenal record of fellow new signing Robert Lewandowski. As you can see the Polish international has proven that he can still score goals wherever he plays. His form this season includes 2 Hat-tricks in the first 2 games of the season then two single goal contributions followed by a brace in his last outing. If he carries on this form for the remainder of the season then he most likely would stop Messi from getting that illustrious 8th Ballon D'or. Next up the league table and a couple of things will stand out. Yes we sit top of La Liga with a perfect start 5 from 5 but to be honest the only decent side we have played is Athletic Bilbao so this is not a reflection of how good the team or tactic is. Three games from now will see our first El Classico of the season as we host Real Madrid whose record and goal difference is extremely similar. We have chopped and changed our tactics a lot since pre season and are still trying to perfect certain problems. Despite winning all our games we have had a couple of 60minute stints without an highlight which can be extremely frustrating. As far as the other Competitions go we are about to play our first match in the Uefa Champions League where we have been handed a group with Bayern Munich (Lewandowski return) Benfica and Ferencravosi from Hungary who could be in big trouble. On transfer deadline day we managed to shift Sergi Roberto to Tottenham for £5m but more importantly freeing up £80k from our wage budget. A couple of younger players from the B team and U19 have been put in rotation to fill the squad out and get them experience at the top level.
