I guess it is a long time since you have visited one of my threads, I havent released a tatcic for over a month now.
Yes, as i said, don't come on that often. Good work.

I don't come in this forum very often but every time i have done over the last couple of years the last page of a Mr Hough thread concerns a new tactic being released later that day.

Player interaction got a little weird.
Oh dear. Please fix this SI for the next patch.

Lots of talk in this thread but i'd rather see more evidence. Anyone else able to provide screens of their experiences using this tactic?

Finished season 2
He only missed 2 league games in 2 years?!

They were predicted 1st
Hmmm surely that's like winning the league with Chelsea or Real Madrid?
Will give this a try with my Mansfield side, currently 4th in January in the BSP in my first season.

Where were Rotherham predicted to finish by the media?

So far Narrow diamond 41212 as shown in post 82. Just checking options with this tactic but set up is same as Oxford tactics.
Sorry, are you saying that the narrow diamond is the most effective/successful of these tactics?

Thanks i appreciate your comments and the latest tactics haven't been as good as previous ones, Hopefully in FM11 i'll be able to create a winger tactic that eclipses my 4-1-2-3 tactic.
Yeah i hope so too. Would be nice to see winger tactics be effective again in FM.

Your efforts should certainly be applauded with regards to helping the community. Your 4-1-2-3 tactic was legendary!

Could it be that FM is starting to beat you now, Mr Hough
Steve
Don't want to sound horrible but Mr Hough peaked with his 4-1-2-3 tactic. Because that was so effective everyone thinks he is a tactics god, which has been proved wrong with the the tactics he has released since (and before for that matter).

Here are the screens of my spurs tester season with the Winger tactic. I used this for the entires season tweaking the defence when i felt it needed it.
Final League Table.
Goal Scorers.
Transfers In/Out.
Treble Winning Season.
Although great success as you can see the defence needs tweaking and i have 2 days off from work so i will be looking to fix this up. The attack on the other side is the best i have seen in any tactic with no cheating what so ever.
41 goals against?! Looks like this might be weak at the back like the 4-1-2-1-2 that was released last week..

http://www.mediafire.com/?8uxjkf2kph2ys7n = Dave Byrd tweaked version (Good defensively IMO,in the last 10 mins or so if you lead 1-0 or 2-0 etc change settings to (CONTAIN) and put time wasting to full.
Yeah it's pretty good:

Looks fantastic, looking forward to it.

No i didnt use any player filters. I'm not having those issues with average players at Oxford.

thanks..what kind of improvement did the tweak version do?
It got my newly promoted Oxford side to second in the prem in our first season up at christmas.

is there a tweak version for 41212?
It's in the post above the one you just wrote..

I've made some changes to the original 4-1-2-1-2 by Mr Hough and thought I'd share. A few disclaimers if you will: I'm new to FM (like 2 weeks), I used Inter as my team which is an obvious advantage.
The changes I made:
FBs: increase passing to one notch above center point (so it is mixed). Decrease crossing to "rarely". Note that I don't change the Run From Deep as mentioned in other tweaks. I find this causes the FBs to act like wingers.
DM: Increase passing style to first notch of direct, and increase closing down by 3 notches as described in prior tweaks.
CMs: The CMr has passing 4 notches into Direct, through balls to Often, and creative freedom up 3 notches. The CMl has passing at first notch of direct, mentality UP one notch, Long Shots "sometimes".
AM: Has roaming "on", mentality down one notch, passing to center of slider (mixed).
STr: Mentality increased two notches.
STl: Rund from deep "sometimes", passing to first notch of "direct", creative freedom up to first notch of "Much".
Teamwise: tempo and width are decreased 3 notches.
The result is more a passing game, and I've trained and selected my players to have high passing and creativity, and higher "tactics" in general, especially CMr, AM, and to some extent the FBs. Depending on the opponent, I sometimes switch the DM to more of an anchor man approach (so more defensive mentality, less creative freedom, short passing).
Results are pretty good. Not sure what screen to post for results, but- In two and a half seasons, I've won 120 games and lost 0, drawn 8. Scored 353 goals, conceded 53. I got an offer to manage Brazil- not sure what that means but seemed cool. Also got manager of the year for first 2 years (year three not finished).
Fun stuff.
Simply incredible! Everyone is asking for the new 4-1-2-1-2 from Mr Hough but what about tweaking the existing one, it's amazing!
This is my first season in the Premier League so far with it playing as Oxford, with an average squad at best.
The tactic: http://www.mediafire.com/?8uxjkf2kph2ys7n

Very good!. I'm prepering my San Marino (Serie A) to next season. In this, I'm 8th and I have chance to play in the Europe League. I playied this tactic 4 games, and I won with Palermo 2-0 (very strong), Sampdoria 2-0 (very strong), Atalanta 2-0 ( weak ), Juventus 0-0 ( very strong ). Earlier to get to the Seria A, I used the classic tactic.
P.S Sorry for my English
Thats great, really seems to work for smaller teams!
