Half way through my first season. Enjoying the game so far. 

Match engine I feel has a had a big improvement. VAR working better than last year. I feel the Dugout with the picture of thousands of little circles for passing completely useless, and should have the option to replace it on your screen with something else you personally find more productive and beneficial to myself. Its about customising the game for the individual player right???

Im warming to the player condition and sharpness icons. Better than the percentages. 

I liked the press conference's at first but already they seem very repetitive and the questions are very similar and boring.  Big negative.

Thought I would try 3 at the back with wingbacks. Training Tierney up as a DC and also plays as my WB when I dont play Saka. Laca out for 3 months so playing Auba as a pressing forward with Pepe or Eddie as the AF. Willian in the middle and Partey is a beast BTB.

Arsenal researcher give us any info on FM 21 squad/updates? Players familiarity with roles? Auba more fluent on the left, Saka on the left, Ozil been given a drop etc ?????

Apologies its not quite roles and duties based. But more about your full tactic in general. 

Over the last few seasons, ive noticed a lot more managers in the premier league are tinkering and changing their tactics to suit that next individual game. I mean swapping between a back 3 or 4, 2 centre backs or 3. Im asking, is it more built into the game now were you can rotate your tactics more often? Can you have 3 tactics were your team can be familiar with a 4231 and a 352 say? 

Being an Arsenal fan, over the last few seasons, including the last season or so with Arsene, Arsenal would change every other game with the back line. Arsenal have been weak defensively so would play with 3 centre backs. At home against a weaker side, Arsenal would play with 2 and move that player further forward. Will FM21 be more adaptable and support more tactical changes more frequently? 

[Does FM need a Match Engine?]

The match engine isn't perfect. But you have so many options available to you, on how you want to play the game. Either playing the full 90 minutes, or just old school 2D. I would like to see more controversy in the game. More off the field issues that are happening every other week. Like Foden and Greenwood getting into trouble. Having a player like Ozil in your squad and having to deal with that. VAR issues that will drive you mad. Clear penalties not given.  Red cards. Your player losing their cool at the end of a game and having to manage the situation at full time and in the press the following day. More.

It will be interesting if you keep Ozil out of squad and with no playing time, will it disrupt the players and make them unhappy with the way he's been treated. Will his attributes be drastically reduced?

As you say Saka's positional familiarity should be Accomplished or Competent at LWB and stay as Competent at LB, I think Natural would be a bit too far. His CA and PA should be boosted.

AMN probably won't see much change in his positional familiarity, he's already rated as Accomplished at all the positions he's been playing.

I agree with Auba becoming classed as Natural at the IF Left position.

I would expect Ozil to be listed as leaving on a free at end of contract, this hasn't been officially announced of course and he still has the possibility to leave in January in real life but I think all signs point to him riding out the last year of his contract, it's looking likely he will be left out of the real Arsenal PL 25 man squad today.

I think the squad might be very similar to how it was in FM20, Gabriel and Partey should have pretty good stats and I'm excited to use them in the game, not so much Willian and Cedric who I will no doubt try to offload as soon as possible.

Martinelli, Mustafi, Mari, Leno, Chambers and possibly Smith-Rowe will all probably be listed as injured at the start of the game.

Very big squad which should bode well for transfer activity in-game and raising funds.

Normally start the game with no transfers until the January window. Next summer you should be able to raise some good cash through sales and people off the wage bill. Sokritis. Mustafi, Chambers, Kolasinac, Torreira, Guendouzi, Ozil, Elneny, maybe Xhaka. Your talking nearly a million a week there.....

Whos the Arsenal researcher for FM 21 this year? Any changes you can tell us with players positions from FM20?

Like Kieran Tierney getting a boost? Great player. More of an complete wingback/inverted wingback than last season?

Ainsley Maitland-Niles. Started as a natural messala/advanced playmaker last year? Where do people see him?

Can you have Auba as a more natural Inside forward from the left?

Saka to be more natural, or at least more accomplished at left back and wingback? 

Ozil. Does he start off the game unhappy, lost faith in the managers ability? 

Good to get an idea for building the squad going into the game.

Bit of a over reaction here my many. £30 ish once a year for hours and hours of entrainment and keeps us all from boredom in these difficult times. Value for money??? EASY answer. 

Look, the features announced don't rock the boat and stand out as real game changes. We are talking about a game that is very complex. What else can you really add that is not already in the game. Its more of a season update with up to date transfers with minor tweaks, in line with where football is at the moment. Current tactics system in line with modern day managers.  I will pay £30 a year for that. 

We are all football manager fans right? What else would you do to pass hours and hours of time? SI could of turned round and said they weren't putting out a game this year. Or waited till after the New Year. What would you play then? Get thrashed 5-0 by some lazy ned on Fifa 21 who plays 25 hours a day, 8 days a week?  Go 0 for 20 on team deathmatch in Call of Duty against some try hard American clan who's connection is superior to yours??!! Na, your all right.

Harrison has been great for me. Costa on the right. Bought Eze from QPR to go through the middle, or left. 

I think my best buy of season 1 has been Luke Matheson from Rochdale for 1.5m. And just bought Bella-Kotchap from Germany in January. 

Currently in the playofffs after 27 games. Still tinkering with tactics, but mostly been playing the 4231. 

[FM19: Arsenal - Au Revoir Monsieur Wenger, Hola Señor Emery]

Currently into my 2nd season. Finished last season 2nd in the league and winners of the Euro Cup. Not bought much, Tah (Bayer Levekusen) Fernandes (Sporting Lisbon) and Pulisic (Dortmund). Getting so much from my attacking 3. Ozil. Laca and Auba doing the business. Playing them in their own preferred roles works for me. Mix it up between these 2 tactics. Good and enjoyable save. Hope it continues.

[Football Manager 2019 Official Feedback Thread]

Been playing the series for longer than I can remember and have to say on first impressions, Im really impressed. The layout of the game is fantastic and really easy to navigate through the screens. The match engine is the best yet and the new tactics system is really good and enjoyable. More to think about from game to game. The only negative maybe is the training. Seems a little to complex at the moment and will take some getting used to. 

Had to show a little screenshot of my last game away to Man Utd. Sanchez controversially sent off early on and a great comeback with a last minute winner. Very enjoyable.
