  1. Koeman made the right change to shore up the midfield as they were getting dominated there first half. That made the 2nd half a cagier affair, but set pieces aside, they never looked particularly dangerous. England definitely deserved the win over the 90 minutes, and probably Southgates best display in terms of in game management.
  2. Midfield movement so much more fluid and coherent. Helps defence is playing further up the pitch. Hopefully it continues.
  3. Most joy I got from that game was Saka not missing his pen. And I'm not an Arsenal fan. So hard to get behind this version of England but we genuinely could bore our way to the title here.
  4. It's been better, We'd have likely looked even more coherent if Kane unhooked the caravan he's towing. So many times we've been in promising ish positions and his lack of movement has contributed to it getting closed down.
  5. Listening to Southgate on 5 live. This victim mentality they've perpetrated amongst the squad this year is totally bizarre. Talking about 5 at the back, he made a point of stating that he has previously been criticised for playing a 5, so it's funny now there seems to be a clamour for it. They all seem so thin skinned this year. I don't think any of the criticism has been over the top, or out of order. The performances from the manager and the players have been way way off what this squad should be producing. Re the game, if we do go 5, going Trippier over Trent would sum Southgate up.
  6. The narrative is already building around Palmer post match. I don't see him moving the needle over Saka from the start. Mainoo now must start, and one of Foden/Bellingham should really make way for Gordon. Can't see the latter happening though.
  7. There are enough issues with, and hyperbole around VAR and refereeing that we don't need to be finding controversy where there is none. Correct decision especially given that the on field call was offside, length of time spent to confirm it was too long.
  8. BBC missing the fact the goal was called offside on the pitch. It wasn't overturned
  9. Not sure why Mainoo and Wharton are there then if "we don't have a natural replacement for Kalvin Phillips" as Gareth has just claimed.
  10. It just looks like such a poorly coached side. No patterns of play, easy to play through, half hearted press, no support for players in possession to play through the press.
  11. Positioning off the ball isn't great. Looks far too easy to get at our back 4 with 2 or 3 simple passes. Hopefully the TAA midfield experiment ends soon, he's just not a natural at key facets of the game you need in that position
  12. Probably been mentioned, but this Morocco side make defending look entertaining. Hope they see this through
