  1. Small update, for if someone would need this information in the future: when you use 'get all teams from division' and you set team type to 'B-team' and fall-back team type to 'closest team type', you get all B-teams (also affiliated teams) for the teams from that division! I was working with 'get best teams from local region', there that method does not work, for some reason. It works without a division specified (for the division the rule is in) or for a specified division.
  2. Thanks for the tip! I appreciate it! Turns out that option only works when the B-teams are created in the same way U21-teams are. Affiliated clubs that are created as normal clubs and then set as B-teams through the affiliation, are not picked up by this team rule, they are seen as first teams (somehow). You can filter these types of affilated clubs out with the team rule (it's an option you can tick), but I could not find an option to select affiliated B-clubs from specified A-teams. In short, I had to scrap this idea and I worked something else out so that I would not need to select them anymore.
  3. Let's say I want to create a full-fledged competition (not a reserve competition) for all affilated B-teams of clubs playing in a certain division. These B-teams play in the normal league pyramid. How do I select these B-teams, based on the division their A-teams play in when setting up this competition in advanced rules. It should be dynamic, so selecting specific teams will not work. I've been experimenting with fall-back teams, but that does not seem to work in this scenario. When is the fall-back option used exactly? All suggestions are welcome!
  4. Hi rusty, Is this a way to set secondary divisions dynamically, based on region, after the game has started (can teams change secondary competition this way)? If so, I have some additional questions: How does the game know not to set these divisions as the 'primary' division? Could you also use extinct divisions in this way?
  5. As far as I know, but I think it might be a recurring thing each X years.
  6. I have been made aware of an error that prevents the creation of match fixtures in the early 2030's, I am still looking into this issue. You can holiday past this season, but you use this version of the database at your own risk. Sorry about this, people! Any input about this issues is welcome
  7. I will still have to test finances, because I was notified there has been a change form Belgium.
  8. I guess you would have to delete the competitions below that level and make sure no teams are relegated from level 4 or 5 anymore. It's not really in the scope of my project, so I don't know the details of what you would have to do.
  9. Here, this should still work for a few days at least: https://we.tl/t-X6ln5oUMY5 Just put it in the graphics folder.
  10. I would sure like to, but I'm still not sure how to edit the specifics for wages. I kinda stumbled through that part untill it worked well enough for the database. Where exactly can you find this rule ingame?
  11. I created a logopack specifically for this file: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3142597025 Thank you to @burakcakilfor his help!
  12. I did tweak finances, it should definitely be better than the original database.
  13. Yeah, they are affiliates, there is a special type of affiliate-connection for B-teams which the game recognises.
  14. You're free to look through the file. The system got really complicated though.
  15. Thank you! It's a complex one, but I'm happy with the result.
  16. Logopack available on Steam Workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3142597025 A full rework of the Belgian Lower League Pyramid, containing all teams and B-teams, all competitions in the Belgian Pyramid (up to level 9 (4th provincial), including regional cups and youth leagues) with a dynamic and regional relegation and promotion system which has been streamlined and simplified, the complete Belgian Cup/Croky Cup starting from the first round, awards for all competitions, new media sources, new names for newgens, all places in Belgium and data updates to Belgium in general for more accuracy. CAUTION: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK * This is a very complex database with many moving parts, while everything is tested to the extent of my ability to do so, be aware that unexpected issues may arise that might break your save. NEW IN THIS VERSION: * Updated to 2023-2024 competitions and teams * Coordinates were added for all stadiums * Better use of data available in the base-game * Refined selection rules in national divisions to be closer to the base game * Rebalanced finances further * Further improved stability * Lots of smaller fixes and additions AUGUST 2024 UPDATE: * Changed lower leagues to be amateur instead of semi-pro * Added promotion playoffs * Added a system to automatically include new B-teams (added through a board request) from the next season reset (after its creation) on. * U21 and U18 cups now work and were greatly expanded with new cup competitions. * Improved the system for both scheduling matches and putting teams in the right division. The season should reset properly every year now. * Added trial days for free players. * Improved the pre-season period so that friendly matches are now more evenly spread in the time before the season. * Moved the youth intake day, the first intakes should happen in summer (the game starts with the highest reputation teams) * Solved an issue where an A-team and its B-team playing on the same level could be put in the same division. Teams playing in the same stadium will no longer be put in the same division of a competition. * Solved an issue with award names not showing properly. SETUP: * Put the file in this folder if you download manually (on windows): My Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2024> editor data * Use advanced setup when starting the save, make sure you have the file checked for loading. * In the advanced setup, check 'add players to playable teams' to fill the new lower league teams. * The game MUST be played with the lowest possible Belgian Division (Vierde Provinciale/Quatrième Provinciale (BEL)) playable for everything to work properly. * It is advised to edit the 'loaded' players (dropdown under 'Approximate Player Count' ==> 'Advanced') and add all categories of Belgian Players. * The game will need some time to generate players for the lower league teams, after which you can play the game normally. * English as ‘data language’ is recommended. Divisions and awards get a name in their local language (Dutch or French) or in both languages, where that makes sense. RULES: The highest three division levels are more or less like in real life. Below that level, teams play two rounds (home and away) and the champion at the end is promoted. Only on the fifth level (3rd division), two of four divisions have two promoted teams instead. The system is set up as such that teams will be grouped by region automatically each season, the system will also relegate more or less teams per region depending on the number of teams from that region that are relegated from the divisions above. This means that the number of teams relegated from each division can fluctuate, all teams in the relegation zone are thus at risk of relegation. Each province has a regional cup, teams that get far enough in these regional cups, qualify for the national cup (Croky Cup) in the next season. As of now, the composition of the lower provincial levels is dynamic, when setting up the game for the first time, different teams will play in series A, B, C… of the same province every time. Sometimes B-teams get force-relegated as their A-team is relegated from a level above. In some scenario’s the dynamic relegation does not account for this properly. To compensate for this, an extra team from the same province from the level below will be added to the division, to keep everything stable and in working order. When the system gets into trouble, it will correct itself by moving teams as necessary. The choice has been made to make all teams semi-professional, as many players that play on the provincial level in real life, do not play for free either. On the one hand, players with a history in the higher national levels or players that are not fully convinced to join a low reputation team, will ask for a fairly high wage that is often a large cost for teams in the lower levels. On the other hand, your own youth players and other lower reputation players will often be content with a non-paid amateur contract or at least a more acceptable wage. This is by design, signing players of a somewhat higher reputation is an option that is supposed to open up as you climb the leagues. In the lowest divisions, you’ll have to get clever with your contracts! ISSUES: Some compromises between gameplay and realism are necessary to make this database possible (and fun!). If you do encounter an issue, let me know, I’ll see if I can do anything with it for potential future updates. * For most new competitions, no honours/trophies are registered for the winning team. The teams are however considered to have won the competition. * Creating a large number of B-teams in the same region might cause issues. CREDITS: By Chielen Many thanks to Krlenjuska, Endrieq, D.B. and Ryan VERSION HISTORY: * 7/1/2024: Release FM24-version * 11/1/2024: Update substitution rules to better reflect real life rules (5 from 9 in top two levels, 5 from 7 on third level, 4 from 4 in all lower levels), minor fixes * 14/8/2024: Big update * 14/8/2024: Hotfix * 16/8/2024: Fixed an issue with restrictions on B-team promotions and a rare occurrence of a bug that could cause competitions to not be reset FM24 Chielen's Total Belgian Lower League Overhaul.fmf
  17. Thanks, haven't been able to start yet, but I've heard there are some bugs in the editor at this time, so maybe it'll all work out in the end What teams did you play?
  18. I hope I've finally solved that issue with the relegations and promotions
