  1. Also, Julian Ward and David Woodfine have also re-joined Liverpool Liverpool 2.0: Who does what in FSG’s new-look structure? - The Athletic (nytimes.com)
  2. When you terminate contracts of international staff utilising the in-game editor, the time a staff member has spent in an international job is not remembered: To replicate (I've used Germany for this example but case is the same with all international teams) Scenario 1: Load a game in Sept 2023; locate Benjamin Gluck (Germany Assistant Manager); use IGE to terminate contract. Staff history does not show he was ever part of Germany Scenario 3: Load a game in Sept 2023 and simulate for any time; locate Benjamin Gluck (Germany Assistant Manager); use IGE to terminate contract. Staff history does not show he was ever part of Germany Scenario 3 Load a game and simulate for approx 6 months; Locate Italy; use IGE to release all Senior team staff from their jobs. Staff history does not show up. The attached files is another example, taken on the same day in-game
  3. Yeah I've tried that and it doesnt seem to want to validate that the details have been imported - I've checked the Unique ID of the imported person but rather than a non-player it comes back to a Retired person called Clyde Best!
  4. So this has bene triggered by the realisation that Max Ebrel is missing from FM24 as detailed by this kind person: He does exist in the FM23 database with a unique ID of 1623. You can search the FM24 database for him but he doesn't exist Without having to retype all his attributes across, is there a way to copy/paste or export/import just his database entry OR (more preferably) find a way to "unhide" his record?
  5. It feels like its hidden somehow? I've searched on the editor and there isnt anyone else with the same as the unique ID. He's certainly in the 2023 database
  6. I second this. I get that, for example, Man Utd would have less A or B graded players suggested to the manager, however that would then mean there are 100's if not thousands (depending on the number of recruitment focuses etc) that are graded E, D or C. This article from The Athletic - The reality of football scouting in 2023: ‘You do it for love – not money’ - The Athletic - showcases their reporter watching 4 matches with a scout. My assumption is from previous FM versions and logical extrapolation for the FM world, is that the scout would generate a report on ALL the players featured in those matches. So a scout assigned, for example, to The Championship, should be delivering a report on every player they watch in that recruitment focus and assigning that report a grade, be that A through to E against the quality of your club. The purpose of the scouting/recruitment centre is then to filter out the unwanted gradings of players So the scenario would play out like this. I'm Man Utd. I've set a recruitment focus as minimum current ability at the very bottom (1 star youth potential) and minimum 3 star (senior) potential. No age restrictions. Recruitment focus is England. My expectation is that the scout I allocate should be providing me a report of all of those players who meet the criteria (in theory 100's of players) and then assigning them a grade of report against man utd's squad. So I'll still get 100's of reports but mainly B's/C's. The same scenario with the same scout but as (for example) Solihull Moors, would generate the same NUMBER of reports but classed as A or B potential reports. Does that make sense?
  7. So I keep getting transfer recommendations to transfer list a play as he doesn't appear on the quad planner. So i add in the first team, reserves and U18 players, but when I come to re-load my game or a new (english) season ticks over (whichever comes first) all my squad planner preferences are gone and I have to start all over again
  8. George Parkinson (Data Anaylst @ Wrexham) doesnt have his dad Phil as a favoured Person, or vice versa
  9. So I have a number of players who are coming to the end of their playing careers and are also non-players. So i add them to my staff shortlist. However, once they retire they disappear off my staff shortlist and I have to try and remember who they are and re-add them. To reproduce Find a player who is shortly retiring and also a non-player. Add to staff shortlist. Wait for player to retire Go back to staff shortlist and find that said player is no longer on staff shortlist.
  10. Thanks buddy! It was driving me insane and I feel so stupid for not checking the individual rounds now!
  11. I'm attempting to edit the database so that for the Premier League, FA cup and Carabao Cup, the substitution rules are 5 from 12 (max 3 stoppages) Its working fine in the Premier League no issues. I've attempted to replicate this for the cup completions, setting the substitution rules under "Round Defaults" to "5 from 12 in 3 stops" as I have done in the League but for some reason its not activating and still saying its a max of 9 subs Anyone know why? I had it working in FM23 and have copied all the settings across so i'm really stuck
  12. Unless I've completely missed something, the ability to warn a player after a poor performance or either fine them has disappeared from the player interaction menu?
  13. So I've set up a multitude of recruitment focuses, including of the top-tier leagues, but my chief scout keeps recommending to me to scout these leagues, despite already doing so
  14. When you assign a scout to cover a nation, it doesnt update the world map that it is happening. Assigning a scout to cover a region does. Reprodcuce Clear all recruitment focuses Assign a scout to cover South America (South) and see the map update Assign another scout to cover England and see that it doesnt update the map
  15. See this thread of mine - there is a workaround provided by SI on there
  16. If you click on a scout, its listed what countries they have knowledge of an how extensive their knowledge is, however the map of the world above this is not being coloured in with appropriate colours - its remains blanks Reproduce: Find any scout (preferably a high-reputation one as they will have knowledge of lots of countries) click on them look at the blank map to the top right of the screen
  17. I can confirm that this work around does indeed verify the files. You kind of have to ignore whatever the screen says and keep track of what leagues you have manually verified (rather than doing them as a batch) but doing it does allow you to load a custom database
  18. I've just loaded a previously saved & verified database, made some changes and saved it as a new name and this error has occurred again
  19. There is - I've downloaded it. It wasnt released until 1600 GMT
  20. I'm unable to verify the database. The screen in the top right clearly says Not Verified, but when you try and do so, you can see that the editor thinks that it is verified. To check, I attempted to start a game using this database - the game itself acknowledges that the database is unverified
  21. As detailed in previous bug reports (detailed below), when viewing the staff list screen the PGE, you cannot see Managers of any other teams at your club bar the First Team, so for example you cannot see the Manager of the U21's or U18's listed. Reported for FM23 and was told it was "being looked into for FM24"
  22. Thank You Zak, but thats also what you said pre the Winter Update for FM23
