That also didn't work but thanks again for the suggestion - seems like text is always white or black in 24.

Thanks for this. I just tried again and you're right - Villa's text is white. I must have had my blue light filter on at the time, haha.

I haven't created the kits at this stage. Will give that a go when I can and will report back.

I've created 48 custom teams for a custom league. For some reason the commentary text colour for this teams changes to either black or white.

For example, a team with a background colour of red and a foreground colour of yellow has white commentary text on a red background.

I thought this might be a feature but Aston Villa's commentary text for example shows correctly as blue on a claret background.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Normally the answer to this is "give transfer embargoes to every club", but that doesn't work as the transfer embargo ends as soon as a club gets taken over.

Is there any other way to do it?

It doesn't seem to mean anything.

I've had a few players who almost always have the aggressive body language but they never get sent off so I just ignore it.

I even had established nutter Alfredo Morelos as a pressing forward with tackle harder on in a high pressing system, and he got 0 yellow cards in 200+ games despite having constantly aggressive body language.

I turn it off because not only have they not improved the crowd sounds, they're actually worse than they used to be. In the early FM era the crowd were programmed to chant things at appropriate times. These days there are no chants in the game at all.

I turn it off. I have no idea why SI have never thought to improve it over the last 15 years.

In 2D when players have the ball at their feet it disappears underneath the player "dots" so you can't see where it is.

There is a YouTube video that explains how to run all of the old FMs legally and with minimal effort. It worked for me for FM2007.

Glad to hear it.

I did not, however the league reputation should increase when Swansea and Cardiff qualify for Europe and do well (or better than TNS at least). The reputation increased significantly in the tests that I ran.

I considered doing it but then I'd have to change prize money etc and it would all be subjective.

I would keep CA and PA but would COMPLETELY hide PA for both the player and the AI.

This would mean managers would look at CA relative to age plus players' personalities to find the best youth prospects, just like in real life.

[Building a team around two players]

Hi all.

If you were building a team around these two, what tactic would you play and what positions and roles would you play them in?

Obviously a tactic should be based around 11 players rather than 2, but as a starting point I thought it would be interesting to see what people suggest without seeing the rest of my team. They are my best two players (on paper at least..)

We are title contenders by the way.

I've been playing FM since CM4 and I haven't found this version to be any easier than the rest. Like most strategy games, it's always easy once you know what you're doing (games like Civ are the exception because they let the AI "cheat" by giving them bonuses).

I do think you might be right, especially with the rise in popularity of FM YouTubers who teach others to be good at the game.

I am also having the exact opposite problem. I have conceded the lowest number of goals yet my starting centre backs have the lowest average ratings in my squad. What's even crazier is that one of them is my 3rd highest scorer...

I play with 3 centre backs btw.
