  1. Digi, I just tried the trick (make MLS an inactive competition) with your database, and the continental competitions appeared in game. (See attached file.) So, SI, it has something to do with the way MLS is coded in game. Hopefully this helps! USADB_WinterUpdateTest.fmf
  2. I loaded in a custom one that I built from scratch - 3 tournaments (Champions, Gold and Silver Cups), with the top 7 from US, Canada, and Mexico qualifying for one of the competitions. It works through the first two years - the correct teams qualify, it doesn't crash to desktop or import weird MLS teams in the us slots. The only drawback is that making MLS inactive removes the history for some reason, but otherwise it seems like it works with a custom format. It may be worth testing with your set-up Digi and see if the competitions appear without the changes to the NACL. (Again, attaching the files so SI can take a look if they want to.) 3. Right now it (my custom concacaf champions league setup) appears in game for me. I'll try simming forward and see if there's a CTD issue.
  4. It is an issue related to the MLS. I went in to my database and made the MLS a lower level (11) and inactive competition. I loaded up my CONCACAF mod and my Canada mod in game, and the competitions appeared. I'm attaching the files below. Steps to replicate: 1. Load Canada (non-MLS) file in game and look at the North American competitions. The club competitions should be missing. 2. Load Canada and CONCACAF with MLS files in game. The club competitions should be present. CONCACAF Continental Competitions - CEUD - MLS Test.fmf Canada - 4 Tiers - CEUD - Advanced Mode - MLS Test.fmf Canada - 4 Tiers - CEUD - Advanced Mode.fmf
  5. Also, I just tried a European mod created by someone else and the competitions showed up (attached). It looks like it may not be a universal issue. No_2024_format_V2.fmf
  6. One thing I noticed - you can now change VAR rules in the database section, not advanced rules, for competitions. I don't think that was present in the 23.0 db - others can correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. I saw this post on Thursday and was hoping that I could avoid this fate, but no, my concacaf champions league mod does not work when it is loaded by itself, much less with the rest of the universe. Digi, the day will come when we don't have the same issues at the same time (I hope.) CONCACAF Continental Competitions - CEUD.fmf
  8. I tried to edit my custom US database in advanced mode to see if the rule issue was resolved (which it may be!) When I went to verify the file I go the following message: I then tried creating a vanilla US database to see if the problem was replicated, and it happened again. I'm attaching both files to this post so you can take a look. Thanks again for all your work SI! Steps to replicate 1. Load US rules and convert to advanced mode. 2. Attempt to verify the rules. 9. There MAY be a bug where it counts the wrong number of teams in the Asian World Cup qualifiers. I posted about it earlier and to see if it was just me I created a vanilla US database (no changes, in advanced rules) and had the same issue. I'm posting it to the bug forum now.
  10. I haven't. I hope it's not another bug of some kind.
  11. I was testing my us database in advanced mode (in hopes that our problems have been fixed) and got the following message: I haven't modifired the Asian World Cup qualifiers, and can't figure out how to add teams to get it to verify. Does anyone have any ideas, or do I need to submit it as a bug report again? Or is this an issue that I could resolve by merging the modifications with a new database?
  12. At least with my database, the most recent update to the editor did not fix this issue as an FYI.
  13. Come, join us in our frustrations in the bug tracker thread:
  14. There is an issue with US databases right now that makes it impossible to do anything besides basic rules - so creating a realistic US database like the one you're looking for isn't possible at the moment. We're hoping the problem gets fixed in the next patch.
  15. For those following this thread, Neil posted a thorough explanation of what they think happened in another one that Digi had created. You can find the update here:
  16. Hi SI Friends, I have a video of the bug here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IPVlG3RDRjGaHNRpHQ3YTZoJz_E4S0qQ/view?usp=sharing. I'll also attach the editor file, in case it is specific to this database (it is ported over from FM22, so that may be part of the issue.) USA - 10 Tiers - CEUD.fmf
  17. I'll add two possible steps then: 1. I think the issue happens when I have over 100 unsaved changes to the database. 2. It happens when I have previously edited a different jersey on the team. I had it happen again tonight, so I'll try and get a capture of the video so you can see what's happening. Thanks all!
  18. I found two issues with the Jersey design portion of the pre-game editor: 1. The duplicate button does not work more than 1x - so if I click on 2x, 3x, etc. it only produces one item. 2. If I add a foreground color to a kit and then duplicated it, I can't make adjustments to the duplicated items. The colors don't change permanently, and I have to close and reopen the editor before I can make permanent adjustments to the duplicated items. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a jersey and duplicate it more than 1x. 2. Once you created a jersey, add a foreground color. Duplicate 2x, then try to change it to an icon and text. It will not permanently change.
  19. Yes, TheFlame - I'm sorry that's happening in your database. There was a bug last year that got fixed (in theory) in last year's version. I rolled my db forward from last year and have not had the issue resurface. This may be a bit of work, but would you try switching to a winter schedule (Aug-May) and see if that fixes it? Otherwise, submit it to SI in the bug forum.
  20. Hi Kieko! If you load all of the kits into your graphics folder they should appear on the team screens and in 3d. I did not go through and change all of the kits in the pre-game editor yet to make them correct, because that's a big undertaking. Eventually it will get done.
  21. I just tried to verify my file in advanced mode and ran into the same issue, so it isn't fixed by the hot patch as an fyi.
  22. 12/17 - Update #1 - I matched the kits in the editor with the kit colors (not necessarily the designs) in the logo pack. It should work well. This will probably be the last update until we have confirmation that the discipline rules issue has been fixed.
  23. ADDITIONAL CONCACAF NATIONS I think it's kind of fun (and rounds out the world a bit) to have some more CONCACAF countries playable as a part of the tournament. I gave the Mexican competition a lot of TV money (to hopefully help it compete with the US teams a bit more than previous iterations) and activated the top 20 nations in CONCACAF (who all participate in all three competitions.) The competitions are all made in basic mode, so they reflect some of the roster rules and realities of the respective competitions (transfer deadlines, dates of the competition (based on wikipedia), restrictions on the number of foreign players, playoff structure and relegations, etc.) The one big exception is that a lot of the Central American competitions have an opening/closing (apertura/clausura) structure - for those competitions I included a midwinter break to imitate the structure. I also activated (or created) several lower level divisions to create more opportunities for promotion and relegation. The 16 countries are Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curacao, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad and Tobago. 24. CONCACAF CLUB COMPETITIONS The other fun part of this mod (for me at least) is imagining what it would look like if CONCACAF had a developed continental competition. The Competition file has five competitions: Concacaf Champions League Concacaf Gold Club Cup (equivalent of Europa League) Concacaf Silver Club Cup (equivalent of Europa Conference League) Central American Championship Caribbean Cup The top 3 competitions are 32 team, 8 group competitions in the fall with a four round knockout tournament in the spring. The money for the competition is about 75% of UEFA's, so particularly for teams in smaller countries entry can be make or break. Like the US and Canadian Files there are advanced and basic versions - the advanced versions have more complicated roster registration rules and participation money. 25. **Edit: March 10th - We figured out the issue with tournaments! Thanks to Digi and Omarsorto over on the SI board for the help sorting it out. So, I am proud to present the FM 23.3 version of the CONCACAF Extended Universe** About a decade ago, the user Raysox created a three tier US pyramid complete with crests and kits for 72 teams. He released an FM mod for the set, which is how I got into the game, and ever since I've updated and expanded it for new versions. It's grown a bit from his original vision (now ten tiers and 384 teams in the US and four tiers and 80 teams in Canada), but explores what it would look like if the US and Canada had functional soccer pyramids, as well as a world where CONCACAF has continental club competitions that are a notch below UEFA's. This first post will cover the US and Canadian competitions. For both, I created a basic and advanced version. The basic files don't have a lot of the immersive features (cup draws, FFP, deadline day experience, or VAR), so if you don't want those features, use those files. The advanced ones have some more editor magic (the above, plus U21 and HG U23 players are always eligible, schedules are more balanced, etc.) So, you can pick your preferred game experience. USA - 10 Tiers - The US has four professional leagues (Apple+ MLS, Prime Championship, Peacock League One, and Paramount+ League Two), three semipro leagues (reconstituted USL Championship, 1, and 2), and three amateur leagues (NISA, UPSL, and NPSL.) The lower five leagues are split into regional divisions, while the top five are national in nature. There is a good amount of TV money throughout the Pyramid and is on a winter schedule, beginning in August and running through May. - There is one national Cup, three cups based on league type (named for major figures in US Soccer history), and twelve regional cups that take place in the winter months. - All teams in USL1 and above have reserve teams, and all teams have a U19 squad. The teams are split into regional youth and reserve competitions. (3/10)- Advanced File has FFP regulations, Immersive deadline days and cup draws, VAR, Schedule adjustments to address congestion (especially for the first year, thanks winter world cup), and other fun features around revenue splits and cup dates. (3/20) - It appears that there is a bug that causes lower level saves (level 3 and below) to Crash to Desktop on August 22nd if you use the advanced version. It doesn't happen with the basic database, so if you want to start a save in the lower leagues, you should use that version. (4/15) - The Files are now updated for 22.4. The USA kit and logo files can be found at this link Canada - 4 Tiers - The Canadian Set-up has two professional leagues (The CPL and the Canadian Soccer League), one semi-pro league (CSL 2nd Division), and one amateur league (CSL 3rd Division.) The lower two levels are split into regional divisions. There is also TV money, but not nearly as much as the US. The season runs from April to October. - There is one national cup and four regional preseason cups. - All teams in the top two tiers have a reserve and a U18 team, split up according to the preseason cups. (3/10)- Advanced File has FFP regulations, Immersive deadline days and cup draws, VAR, Schedule adjustments to address congestion, and other fun features around revenue splits. The Canadian kit and logo files can be found at this link Both of the graphics files have the kitbasher files for the teams and sponsors in each country, so you can easily update the kits as you advance through the save.
