Never worth it for me.. but it depends on how you like to play... i'd prefer to pick up someone like cherki and train him to be even better than m'bappe but there is only one m'bappe, so maybe it's worth getting him in?
How can you make him better than M'Bappe, they have a set potential, right? I think M'bappes' potential is a bit higher than Cerkis'

probably worth it if you can affort his wages. he is the best player in the game. But wages is very important to control.
I currently have 1,9 mill to go on my wage budget, sold Pogba and Lindelöf too Barca for 253 mill., so a lot of wages left with them.

I'm in my 4th season with Man United and I have bucket loads in my transfer budget, 433 million £ to be precise. Is it worth splashing out 180mill. pluss to secure his signature?
The deal also includes Martial going the other way, so there's a lot of money involved. He also expects 325-450 000 £ a week....

How important is it that you use the wingers as corner takers, is it a strucurtal reason?
I have players with 17 and more in other positions I'd like to use.

I suppose you could say practising penalties will help with technique and taking of the penalty itself. Actually taking a penalty in a game would be different and dependent on the situation how a player is predisposed to handling pressure. So increasing composure would depend more around some other training sessions focused more on mental improvement and maybe improving over time as a player just naturally develops.
Valid point.

He is probably not good enough to play the ball out of defence. I have ball playing defenders who bring the ball all the way to the flanks and get assists, because these players can dribble, have good first touch, passing decisions and vision. So if have a poor player then you could have some issues like aimless hoofs
Would you consider Ruben Diaz and Declan Rice as good enough?

Is there a contradiction in using team instruction "play out of defence" and using ballplaying defenders at the same time? I see a tendencies of "ball hoofing" from the back. Should I change them to CD?

I mean, probably, but that would make it a slightly overpowered training focus.
You gotta remember this is a computer game and that all games designers are trying to balance realism with actual gameplay.
Well, I fell at least composure should be part of it, but I'm sure they have an explanation for it.

I might have missed something, but when you put a player on individual penalty training, it seems he's trained in penalties and technique, shouldn't composure be in there as well, and maybe finishing?

Yes at least if you got 2 or more strikers. If i got tall player on the left side and smaller on the right i know theres no point using mixed throws on the left side because tall st comes short and small is in goal area.
Ok, I play with one striker, and even if I tell him to lurk on the far post he comes short. I find that annoying at best.

You need to put long throws that set piece positions work. Otherwise throws use teams formation in throws. Dont know why its like this but thats the way it is.
So ypu are saying the striker is coming short unless I choose long throws? Seems odd.

Wuilker Fariñez, national goalkeeper of Venezueal, has turned out to be a top quality back up on my Manchester United save. He has random PA, so he won't turn out this good consistently, but some saves he is a beast that can play for any top club.
Any how, worth checking, I bet if he had played more matches he would have had much higher stats, but I'm happy with buying him for 2.1 mill £ as he's now worth 28,5 mill £.
On my save I have Argentinian and Brazilian leagues loaded, but he seems to turn without them as well.

Why is it always the striker that comes short on throw ins? I have put my striker in all thinkable positions, yet he comes short when my team has a throw in on the opositions half. I can't see the logic, anyone know why? All I know is; I don't want him there.

Though it seems it's been blocked by him not willing to try that role.

* I would play Rashford as the striker (PFat), and Martial in AML (IFsu)
** The keeper would be ideally played as a SK on support, but de Gea unfortunately lacks the proper set of attributes (hence standard GK)
*** If RB (Bissaka) is played as an IWB on defend, then you can consider the Overlap right TI (otherwise not)
Positive mentality
In possession - shorter passing and play out of defence (other possible TIs/tweaks - be more expressive, higher tempo)
In transition - counter
Out of possession - higher DL, standard LOE, offside trap (and nothing more)
Plus split block (the striker, AMR, AML and MEZ - close down more PI)
From my knowledge of Man Utd current squad (and your starting 11 in particular), this is a setup I believe would suit them well.
Any questions?
Thank you. I'll check out your tips.

Honestly, a lot in your tactic is wrong IMHO.
First, the setup of roles and (especially) duties is very unbalanced. The bottom half of the team are left on their own when defending, whereas the top half are likewise left on their own when attacking. The team looks totally disjointed. It's not how tactics - and the game of football - works. One positive though is that you at least are not one-dimensional.
Then, your defensive instructions are more aggressive than it's necessary/optimal. Just as putting too many attack duties up front absolutely does not mean good attacking performance and/or scoring goals, so too an overly aggressive manner of defending does not make your defense stable and solid. In fact, more often than not - the opposite is true. To be precise - neither
more urgentpressing nortight markingis a good idea in a tactic like yours, so my suggestion is - remove them both. You already have both DL and LOE set to higher, plus playing on a high mentality (positive), so making it even more aggressive only means adding unnecessary risk. Also, do not use offside trap when you play CBs on different duties. Either play both on defend duty or remove the Offside trap instruction.
When it comes to your in-possession instructions, nothing looks particularly wrong, but I would nevertheless suggest you start with fewer and then gradually add more (or remove some) if needed. In other words, start with short passing and PoD only, then watch the match carefully and see if a bit higher tempo may be a good idea; or maybe be more expressive; or slightly wider/narrower width... try different combinations until you are pleased with what you see.
In transition, I would remove all 3 instructions and add the Counter instead (you have very fast attacking players, so why not utilize that?). Dropping the LOE a notch (from higher to standard) in combination with a split block could also be of help in that regard.
But before all that - make your setup of roles and duties more balanced and stable. If you would like to know how I would set it up, you are welcome
"If you would like to know how I would set it up, you are welcome "- Yes, please.

Who do you want to be the scorers and assist makers in the team because I can’t see any striking movement between players? What kind of style do you prefer?
I was primarily hoping for the three upfront and the mezzala to score the goals. I have changed the advanced forward to DLF (a), thought he might get to far ahead of the others. I like fast attacks, but not "gung-ho"-style.

Id look to drop the line of engagement and defensive line back to normal to give your forward three space to run into, and then I would take off the work ball into box instruction.
Id generally look to be less of a high press team, and utilise the pace you have up front.
Look at the Man City v Man Utd game at the weekend, United were battering city in transition and I think this is the way forward for you, until teams begin to sit off you more.
in terms of midfield balance, I think id flip Pogba and Fred around, but then give Fred more of a central midfield role than playmaking role. Pogba is ideal for a mezzala role and should get you lots of goals, Fred more of a "break things up" role IMO
Thx for the input, testing now.

I've found 3 shouts I can use to a positive effect...3.
My team is trailing by a goal away with 1 man sent off, I use the shout "encourage", and half the team is frustrated by that shout !? I thought encouragement was good when you're having a hard time? Who makes up these reactions, and is there a decent guide or are they not worth it?

So...why would I let my asss-man do my halftime team talk? He says (with 15 in motivation); encourage and the whole team goes red....why is there an option to let your ass man do the team talk?

No matter what role you or tactics you choose for your defenders, they always seem to head the ball to the opponent palyers when they have the option to head it to ta team mate, let it go and leave it to the keeper or head it out for a throw, Anyone else experienced this? It feels like it happens in almost every game.
