McCausland has become a first-team regular for Rangers this season. The stats in game don't reflect that. In game he isn't good enough to play, and doesn't become good enough to be a first-team regular based on his potential. Both sets of stats need buffed. McCausland actually has 2 and half star potential when the game starts. He is nowhere near first-team level, and never will be. It clearly needs a buff because the reality is he's become a first-team regular, is scoring, and playing well.

I made the same case about Bassey at Rangers on here. A big powerful guy, but his stats never reflected that until he moved to Ajaz. Bassey had lower strength ratings that guys like Frimpong who is very small by comparison. I never got to enjoy Bassey as Rangers because the stats were just so far removed. People kept saying 'he'll improve over time' but he was already a big powerful guy.

Dujon Sterling is now playing as a ball winning CDM for Rangers, and he's been great at it. I actually think he will continue to play there for the rest of the season. In the game CDM isn't even a position he can play. This lad is very versatile and I think this additional position should be added. I also think Sterling's strength and power are his main strengths. However, in game his strength and balance attributes are very average indeed. If these were buffed by a couple of points I think it would more accurately represent the real player.

I think Todd Cantwell should have the player trait 'cuts inside from both wings'. He already has the player trait 'cuts inside from left wing'. However, Todd played in Europe last night and was subbed after 33 mins because he could not stop coming inside off the right wing. The manger had told him to stay wide and the player was unable to follow that instruction. So yeah, 'cuts inside from both wings' would probably a more accurate trait.

McCausland's form at Rangers continues. A top performance in Europe tonight from the youngster.

Following up from my previous post, Ross McCausland started for Rangers today against Livingston. He had the ball in the net but it was ruled out (questionable decision). The young guy didn't look out of place at all. I'm currently managing Rangers in a save and the player doesn't have the ability to come into the squad and make this sort of impact, nor has he the potential too. I do think his potential needs a buff. They say he's know for his ability to go "inside and outside" from the wide areas. Comfortable on both feet.

Ross McCausland could probably do with a bit of a buff to his potential.

Here's the bug:

I'm seeing the same thing. My team play a through ball, the opposition keeper comes running out the box as if he's going to kick it away, but he runs straight past the ball. My player kicks it into an empty net. To be clear, there was absolutely nobody near the opposition keeper. There is no reason he should be running past the ball, and not kicking it. I was playing against West Ham too so this was a high level keeper. This has to be broken. I'll try and record a replay of the goal with OBS and upload it to here. It's inexplicable.

Rangers have apparently signed talented youngster Thompson Ishaka. He's 18 so should be included into the winter updated database: Also, young Bailey Rice is now 16 and got a start for the Rangers first team a few days ago. I hope he will be included in the winter update:

Can I suggest the feature to download highlights be brought back? I'd like to download the full game highlights from my matches so I can make compilations. Even the ability to download the goals, and the various 'goal of the month' and 'goal of the season' awards, would be welcome. Right now the only option is to screen record with a 3rd party software. There really should be a quick and easy way to just download highlights to a specific folder on my PC while in game.

Rangers have a number of youth players now breaking into the first-team squad. Young Adam Devine can play LC, CB, and RB. He's now the 2nd choice RB behind Tavernier. Although, he just played 3 consecutive SPFL league games at LB and was outstanding. In fact, he was named in the SPFL's 'team of the week' yesterday. I would suggest he needs a buff: Last night against Motherwell young Alex Lowry started in midfield as well. Devine, King, and Lowry, are all first-team squad players now.

There’s a lot of pop ups and options that need an option to disable. The advice is there, but those that don’t want it need an option to disable or auto assign instructions. Same with every member of staff. The way I see it, hiring great staff and letting them deal with a lot of things: training, opposition instructions, team selection, speeds things up. Not all of us have several hours a day to play this game and staff is a good way to speed things up.

Wouldn’t it make more sense if we could mark our players as ‘not for sale’? This way other clubs would at least know bids were unwelcomed, and would need to be over the odds to even be considered. In the same way that a transfer listed player attracts lower bids than actual value due to their status on the market. That would seem to make more sense, and I believe this was part of the game in the past.

I have OCD and can’t stand an asymmetrical formation because of this. I bet many others feel the same way.

Hi all, I’ve been playing this game for years without issue. However, In recent weeks I noticed the game wouldn’t launch on startup. I’ve uninstalled from steam, delegated everything on the PC, reinstalled, nothing - Couldn’t get to the bottom of it. However, I managed to get it working today and noticed it’s because I had plugged my USB mic back in. As soon as I removed my USB mic the game crashed, then wouldn’t launch. I put the USB mic in and it launched straight away. I can’t understand this at all. What USB microphone related issue would cause this game to crash? If someone has a fix I’d be immensely appreciative as I’m sure this is an obscure problem.

I completely agree with this. Football Manager doesn’t need new features. It just needs to improve the ones it has. A better match engine must be the highest priority for them. It’s the main part of the entire game!

In this instance you’re talking about the football management simulation niche. Other than Football Manager, there’s very little options out there.

I actually purchased the F1 Manager game. Graphically it’s fantastic. Most of the joy people have with these simulation games comes from watching it everything you’ve done play out. We want to see the races, the city streets, the baseball fields, the football pitches, etc. These should be given the highest possible priority. I find it hard to believe that SI can’t provide us with a better match engine that this. FIFA’s games looked better 10 years ago. So what is happening?

The same could be said of the logos they purchased for this game. We all use face and logo packs so what difference does that make? None. That money should’ve been spent elsewhere. The community has created a software that creates very realistic faces of people that have never even existed. This is completely game changing when it comes to regens. Why can the community do that, but paid employees as SI can’t?
