Lewes F.C. - Season 2027/28 National League Table Transfers Inadvertently shared this table in my last update so I'm going to fix that to reflect what actually happened in 26/27, but to echo what I said there. "Out of the playoffs on the final day. Nout much more to be said. A poor stretch from October thru November in the league left us way off the pace. Just a couple of wins instead of losses would have made the difference, but we go again next season." FA Cup Consistently having long FA Cup runs seems to be harming our league chances, this season was no different, we reached the Second Round and lost to Grimsby. FA Trophy Beaten by Ilkeston in the Semi Finals. We drew 2-2 away but lost 0-1 at home. Frustrating. Transfer of the Season Jamie Arnold - In the words of Alan Partridge: "Striker!" (See Player of the Season below) Player of the Season Morgan Williams and Jamie Arnold - Morgan Williams gets the fan vote at right back with a 7.15 average and some key goals. Jamie Arnold gets my vote, given he scored 25 goals and played nearly 50 games across the season. Season League Finish Notes 2023/24 National League South 1st Champions, Manager of the Year 2024/25 National League 14th 2025/26 National League 13th FA Cup Third Round Proper 2026/27 National League 10th 2027/28 National League 9th -
Accidentally submitted this before I was done. The original thread where this was discussed is here: I have multiple end of season saves that I can share showing this where my team has cash reserves. I can't even request youth facility upgrades though despite this, and the club is not in a position where it would not be reasonable to do so:

In game assistant manager advice.

I think that's a very creative use of the English language. It also sort of exemplifies the OP's point. Does the comment mean goals, shots on target or shots in general? I read it as shots in general, and most people probably would without a qualifier. -

Lewes F.C. - Season 2026/27 National League Table Transfers Out of the playoffs on the final day. Nout much more to be said. A poor stretch from October thru November in the league left us way off the pace. Just a couple of wins instead of losses would have made the difference, but we go again next season. FA Cup We got into the main competition again but were dumped out by Bradford City in the First Round Proper. FA Trophy Our best chance of a trophy this season. After a dull first leg at home, Barnet beat us in Extra Time with a last ditch Tom Carpenter winner on 120 minutes of extra time. Devastating, but our time will come. Transfer of the Season Duncan Idehen - Too good for this level at centre back. He averaged over 7 rating across the season after being snapped up on a free from Worthing. A one and done player as he's moving to Chesterfield for next season for a decent transfer fee. Player of the Season Hamzad Kargbo - The big man just keeps going. 19 goals this season. Hang on. Where did we hear this before? Players considering their options at the end of contracts seems like something new? It may have just been the clubs I've managed in FM22 or how I managed them but I very rarely if ever had situations where players ran down their deal. The problem is it seems way too hyperactive and there's no way of being able to try to convince the player otherwise. Also, clubs already seem to know when players intend to run down their deal, so it's impossible to sell them. Infuriating.

What happened?? -
In response to the edit, that was my spur of the moment subjective opinion and I certainly don't think you can discredit the effort that he puts into his work. We can agree to disagree on the findings or the basis of them, or whatever, but I do feel that tossing his entire body of work out when clearly people have applied some of his findings and have found that they've worked is another thing entirely.

Nobody is being forced to watch it. It's a bit different if he was conjuring claims out of thin air. The reactions to the above post attempting to browbeat a content creator are telling. The fact of the matter is, putting aside the line settings, that many of the same old things simply do work in FM year upon year. This was something that brought up in the YouTube creators round table. You could just as easily make the point that what they were saying is "misinformation" because SI have said that using the same old tactic won't work, but I've seen that same claim many a time and I'm using the same formation and general instruction set that I have done for many a year and it's still working. Many others do as well based on what I read around these forums and on the net. I would also note that from when I watched Rashidi's videos from a few years back that he had a common base he carried from game to game. Whether or not that's still the same now, I don't know. Brute forcing the engine isn't just something that Max does, and some things clearly do work better than others. Scepticism is not unhealthy within moderation. I think Max is at least reasonable and I don't perceive malice in presenting his own arguments in a reasoned manner. If people want to disagree with him and prove him wrong, that's just as valid as well.

I don't understand the response. Getting angry about something like this is petty. You can either agree or disagree with his conclusionsbased on what he's presented, but I've always thought Max's videos have been good, and he's at least showing his working. Fact of the matter is, the game is not an exact 1-1 replica of real life. He's not the only person who's pushing the engine through testing.
