  1. Can't make my mind up whether to continue with this save and see if we can dominate Tanzania/Africa and maybe one day win the club world cup or if I can sneak aother save in before the new one. Maybe something in an obscure Asain nation.
  2. Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Finances - Transfers League Season After some dodgy kit clashes last season, we went back to the yellow home kit. The community shield ended with a 3-1 loss to Young Africans. We flew out of the blocks in the league this year. We played Young Africans away in our 11th game smashing them 4-0 and making it 33 points from 33. We also beat Simba earlier in the season. In game week 17 we beat JKT Tanzania 8-1 away top open up an 11-point gap at the top and keep our 100% record going. The form continued and even Young Africans couldn’t stop us, beating them 3-1 at home to make it 25 wins from 25 games. It was starting to look like we could go the whole season 100%, but we only managed a draw away at Simba. This meant we only needed a point to win our 2nd title. Next up was Namungo away and despite throwing away a 2 goal lead, we got the point we needed to bring the title back to the Uhuru Stadium. The goal now was to get through the league season unbeaten. We managed it beating Mashujaa and Geita Gold and drawing away at Mtibwa (with the players’ minds elsewhere!!). CAF Champions League Going into this I was confident after winning the CAF Confederation Cup 2 years running. We started off against Somalia’s Jeenyo United and brushed them aside, 11-0 on aggregate. Next up was Al-Merreikh Omdurman of Sudan and this was more comfortable, winning 15-0 on aggregate. Into the group stage, we Petro Atletico 2-0 away, Stellenbosch FC 5-2 and Sundowns 6-2 away to make it 9 from 9. A 4-1 win away at Stellenbosch was followed up with a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Petro Atletico and our first loss at home to Sundowns but it was a good group stage, and we were through to the quarter-final. Al-Ahly up next who had knocked us out in a previous year on away goals. We can score away goals too and we did in this tie. 9 of them!! We won 9-3!! The home leg not quite as good, but a 5-2 win meant we were through 14-5 on aggregate. ASEC Mimosas in the semi-final. We were by far the better team over in the Ivory Coast, but their 4 shots all went in, and our keeper ended with a 5.6. Abdallah came off the bench to reduce the deficit in the 92nd minute to 4-2. That could be a big help for the 2nd leg. In front of over 21,000 we flew out of the blocks and found ourselves 3-0 up at half time. Like the first leg, they scored from all their shot on target. Luckily this time, they only had one. We had 17 and put 4 of them away to win 4-1 and book our place in the final!! The final was a two-legged affair and unlike the CAF Confederation was home and away and not neutral. The first leg was at home, and we filled every seat for a 25,000 sell-out. The opponent would be Wydad Cassablanca of Morrocco. Despite being the better team, we went 1-0 down to a penalty in the 23rd minute. We bounced straight back blitzing them with 3 goals in 6 minutes from Mwinyi, Seif and Omar. A great first half! We came out for the second half and didn’t hold up, with midfielder Omar adding a 2nd for him on the night and a 4th for us. 4-1. They continued to push though and on 76 Mansouri pulled another one back but 7 minutes later young full back Shaibu came on to add a 5th and give us a 5-2 lead for the 2nd leg in Morrocco. Just keep it tight, quieten the crowd and grow into the game. That was plan. It was out of the window after 6 minutes. Soudani scored on 3 and in the 6th minute it was 2-0 Wydad and they were only a goal behind already. Disaster! We are always a threat these days though and 16-year-old Tanzman smashed home in the 8th to make it 2-1. Almost straight away Razzi goes down the other end and makes it 3-1. This isn’t going to be easy! Mwinyi has the ball in the net but VAR rule it out and just 6 minutes later Razzi adds his 2nd and its 4-1 Wydad. We are now level on aggregate and its not even half time. We are creating chances of our own though and on 40 Tanzman smashes home again to put us back in front on aggregate. Just keep it tight now is the message, but Wydad have got other ideas. Right on half time we give a silly Pen away and up steps Razzi to complete his hattrick and cancel out our first leg result by half time. Its now 7-7 on aggregate. We decide the best form of defence is to attack and we go at them 2nd half. The game is going from one end to the other as we go into the last 10 minutes still tied at 7-7 and then Soudani looks like he’s won it for Wydad with just 5 mins to go. This is sickening. But wait. VAR are looking at something and it’s found to be offside. Phew!!! The game is drifting to extra-time and the players are knackered when all of a sudden, the ball drops to our substitute Mgosi in the box. He composes himself and fires home for a 93rd minute winner!!!!!!!! It’s a 5-3 loss, but it’s the greatest victory in the club’s history. We are Champions of Arica!!! CAF Super Cup 2nd year running we face Wydad Cassablanca. This is becoming a bit of a rivalry! We manage to get over the line in a tight game, with Abdallah’s 11th minute goal enough to win the trophy. Tanzanian Federation Cup It’s been 5 years since we won this, and it was time to put this to an end. We had favourable draws all the way up to the final where we would face old rivals Young Africans. Just one week after winning the Champions League we got some revenge for all those beatings they have given us over the years. We smash them 7-1!! We were 6-1 up at half time and part of me was hoping for 10, but 7 will do. All of them years when we couldn’t get near them and now we embarrass them in a final. Wonderful and a quadruple for the season. THE PLAYERS Godfrey Bakari What a player he has been for us. Another 27 assists and 9 goals, plus an average rating of 7.85. Mohamed Shaibu New kid on the block. Bakari reincarnated. Another left winger being retrained as a left back and he managed 14 assists and a 7.59 av rating in 16 starts. Ramadhan Sekule Has made the DM role his own now and has pushed legend Shabani out of the team. Michael Omar Another one developing at a fast rate. Still only 18, but 28 goals and assists from DM. Ramadhani Ali Continues to smash it on the right of midfield. Joseph Rogers 16-year-old back up for Ali. 7.53, 8 goals and 13 assists in his first season. James Tanzman Wow! What a player he is going to be. What a player he already is! 16 years old and 22 goals, 21 assists and an average rating of 7.97. Also came 2nd top scorer in the Champions League from attacking midfield. Ali Mgosi Needs a shout-out. Now a backup player but still scored 17 in 19 and of course bagged what proved to be the winner in the Champions League final. Hassan Abdallah Another one who is now a backup but continues to deliver. 19 goals in 25. Omary Mwinyi Probably my favourite player of the save. Another great season, not as many games due to rotation but scored 29 in 26 starts and an average rating of 7.96. Won this years CAF Inter-Club Player of the Year Emmanuel Mnyamani Another one who is developing into some player. 36 in 35 and 7.77 average rating. SEASON REPORT CHALLENGE COMPLETE!!! After 18 seasons and despite only winning two league titles we did it. We done it in style as well, going unbeaten in the league, winning the CAF Super cup for the 2nd year running, battering Young Africans 7-1 in the cup final and winning the Champions League with an injury time winner!!
  3. Sorry for taking over so much. I've only got one more season then I'm up to date.
  4. Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 2 Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Finances - Transfers League Season To start the season off the team changed from their usual yellow home kit to a green and yellow. This appears to be closer to the kit in real life, but I could be wrong. For the first time since 2037 we won the Community Shield, beating Young Africans 3-2 in the final. We couldn’t have made a better start to the league season. Our 1-0 win a home to Young Africans made it 7 wins from 7. Simba had also started well though and were only 2 points behind. Our first loss came at Simba in game 13, but we still had 36 points from a possible 39. By game 20, we were 4 points clear of Simba, although they had a game in hand. Young Africans hadn’t been themselves and were starting to fall behind in 3rd place. A big win at Young Africans, and with 8 games to go we could see a pathway home to that 2nd title, then with 3 games to go disaster struck. A poor 1-1 draw away at Fountain Gate meant Simba had pushed ahead of us. It was still in our own hands, as we had to play Simba. The game went back and forth. In the 74th minute they were down to 10 men, but we were losing 4-2. We pulled two goals back, but Ali’s 90th minute equaliser wasn’t enough, and it was going to take a miracle. The next game and we completely shot ourselves in the foot, drawing 2-2 at 9th place Tabora United. Shocking! Into the last game and Simba do slip up at Fountain Gate, but they get the point they need and we finish 2nd a point behind them. A win over Tabora and we’d of been champions. Very frustrating. CAF Confederation Cup Going into this one as holders now, we were confident. We eased through the qualifiers as usual. The groups were almost as easy. 6 wins from 6, including a 5-1 away win in Egypt. Hearts of Oak from Ghana in the quarters and despite them scoring an impressvie 8 over two legs, we managed 11!! Super Sport United next in the semis and two more high scoring games, winning 5-3 at home and a 4-4 away draw to go through to the final in back-to-back years. The final was an all-Tanzanian affair in Gabon. I didn’t think this would be an issue but former African Lyon player Idarous Abdallah had other ideas, scoring a hattrick in the first leg as we went down 3-2. The 2nd leg was much more comfortable, winning 6-1 to claim back-to-back CAF Confederation cups. CAF Super Cup After winning the CAF Confederation Cup last year, we qualified for the Super cup, where we would face Champions League winners Wydad Athletic Club. It was a tight game that finished 1-1, but we managed to get over the line winning on pens to win this trophy for the first time and bag another £400k. This was invested straight into the youth facilities. Tanzanian Federation Cup One better this time, but we go out to Simba in the semis, 6-4 after extra time. Former players Ngasa and Seif on the scoresheet. THE PLAYERS Godfrey Bakari 31 assists from left back! Michael Omar Broke into the centre midfield spot. 18 goals, 13 assists and 5.51 average rating. Ramadhani Ali Kicked on again and gained an average rating of 7.68. Still only 18 and an excellent replacement for Seif. George Rashid Utility man who has played in numerous positions. 12 goals in 22 starts. Ali Mgosi Continues to deliver when called upon. 44 goals and assists and an average rating of 7.74. Omary Mwinyi The main man and has never pushed for a move. 46 goals, a best ever seasonal return for the club. THE YOUTH INTAKE It looks like another superstar could be on his way through. James Tanzman probably the best player to come through to date. Under 19s finished 2nd. OFF THE FIELD I had a feeling it would come, but Ayoub Tanzman moved on to Benfica for £500k. We could have got a bigger fee, but I was more interested in the percentage of next sale. Especially as he is already worth between £14.5m and £16.5m. In November Benfica let us buy out the clause for £9.02m!! I suspect that he will move on for a lot more than this, but these are astonishing figures for us that could be a game changer for the facilities. In December we also let Charles Singano go for £300k to Young Africans. For once this was my decision. He was one of my favourite players, due to his flexibility, but he was never going to be a starter and £300k was too good to turn down. I don’t think he will get in their team either. I reached 700 games in management.
  5. Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 2 Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Finances - Transfers League Season Pre-season odds remained at 25-1. Lost to Young Africans in the community shield in the semi-final. In the league we won 14 out of our opening 16 games. The only issue was the two other games were defeats away at both Simba and Young Africans. Until we start taking points off these two, we aren’t going to be adding that 2nd title. The second half of the season saw us only lose one game, but again this was a home defeat to Simba. With two games to go we still had an outside chance, sitting 2 points off 2nd and 5 off 1st but that’s all it was. Simba and Young Africans both won their games, and we finished 3rd again, although the gap to the top was only 5 points. CAF Confederation Cup After two disappointing Champions League campaigns we were back in the CAF Confederation Cup. The qualifiers were bypassed easily with a 17-3 and 15-0 aggregate wins. We started the groups with a 3-2 away win at RS Berkane, but were then held to two home draws, 4-4 with Medeama SC and 1-1 with Pyramids. We stepped up in the last 3 games, winning all 3 without conceding a goal to progress to the quarter final. A tricky game next against Raja Casablanca. We scored 6 in the home leg, however, we conceded 4! It didn’t matter though as we won 2-0 in Morrocco to progress to the semis. Nigeria’s Enyimba Aba awaited us, and we smashed them 3-0 in the first leg, at home in front of nearly 14,000. The away leg was trickier than it needed to be, but we came out losing 3-2 but progressing to the final for the 2nd time. In the final we would face Medeama of Ghana to be played in Mali. We had a decent record against them, but did draw 4-4 at home in the group stage. If you thought 4-4 was a high scoring game, then this was crazy. The game finished 7-7!! after our keeper had a nightmare. We should have been wall out of sight. The 2nd leg was a tight affair with the game tied at 0-0 at half time, but the boys stepped up 2nd half and we pulled away with goals from new star Mnyamani, Mgosi and Mwinya to win 3-0, 10-7 on aggregate and win our first continental competition!!! Tanzanian Federation Cup It’s been a few years now wince we won this, after dominating for a few years. We got past Simba in the quarters but were unlucky to go out to Young Africans in the semi-final. THE PLAYERS Ayoub Tanzman Continues to progress and his value is rising. Despite a nightmare in the CAF Confederation Cup Final 1st leg, a great season with 14 clean sheets. Adam Mrwanda Retrained to play deeper and progressed as the season progressed. Ramadhani Ali Stepped up when Seif moved on and made the right midfield role his own. Different type of player to Seif but still managed 16 assists in 25 starts. Ali Mgosi Sharing his game time now, but still got an impressive 18 ion 26. Hassan Abdallah Also sharing his game time, but still knows where the back of the net is. 29 goals in 27 starts! Omary Mwinyi Same old for Mwinyi. Another 25 goals. Simba are sniffing round, but he has so far been happy to commit to us after bids have been rejected. Emmanuel Mnyamani New kid on the block. Progressing rapidly and scored an impressive 22 in 35 at just 16 years old. THE YOUTH INTAKE 1 2 Pretty standard intake, but Peter Kawawa looks like the next one with big potential. Under 19s won their league for the first time in a while. OFF THE FIELD Rajab Seif was now flying and fulfilling his potential. So much so that he won the African Young Footballer of the Year award. The only problem was 15 days later Simba activated his release clause of £650k and he was gone. This was gutting as he was really starting to kick on and he leaves for a rival. As they activated a release clause, I couldn’t even get a sell on clause in the deal.
  6. Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 2 Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Finances - Transfers League Season Still seen as 25-1 outsiders. The community shield saw us reach the final again, only to go down 6-5 in a crazy game to Young Africans. The league fixture computer couldn’t have given us a worse first game. Young Africans away! In a game that went back and forth it was 3-3 going into injury time, then up popped David Shabani with a 95th minute winner to see us finally beat them. Our first win against them in 14 games after being unbeaten against them in the previous 8 to that. Despite the great result, the season itself didn’t start so well and after 8 games we were sat in 4th place and already 6 points behind Young Africans. We were never really in it and despite beating Simba 2-1 away on game 19, we were still 10 points off the top, who happened to be Simba. The season fizzled out and we ended up in a disappointing 3rd place. More frustratingly Simba won the league this year and not Young Africans. A big chance missed. CAF Champions League Another disappointing campaign. After progressing past Marimoo FC 17-3 on aggregate, we came up against the Tunisian side Club Africain. We won the first leg 5-2 but ended up with 8 of our starting 11 being away on international duty for the 2nd leg. I was hoping we could hold out, but we went down 4-0 and we was out again before the groups had even began. Tanzanian Federation Cup Quarter-final was as far as we got as we came across the absolute pain in the arse Young Africans and lost 4-3. THE PLAYERS Ayoub Tanzman Although he conceded 62 in 37, it was Tanzman’s breakout season and something to build on. Seif Rajab Had his best season at right back, with 6 goals, 8 assists and an average rating of 7.48. Godfrey Bakari Another typical Bakari season. 17 assists, 7 goals and 7.47 average rating. Rajab Seif 2nd season in the team and really kicked on with a massive 25 assists, 14 goals and 7.65 average rating. Wants to leave though which is very frustrating. Ali Mgosi Really kicked on with 34 goals in 36 games, although this did include 13 pens. 7.62 average rating. Omary Mwinyi 26 goals in 34 games and 7.78 average rating. THE YOUTH INTAKE 1 2 The intakes have really started to step up. 4 or 5 players looking likely to influence the first team next season. Under 19s finished 2nd. OFF THE FIELD I reached 600 games in management and Ayoub Kibombo is now the league appearance record holder with 223 appearances.
  7. Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 2 Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Finances - Transfers League Season Frustratingly beaten in the final of the Community Shield to Young Africans. The league season pretty much went the same way the last 3 or 4 have gone. Very constituent throughout but losing our games against title rivals. A 7-2 home defeat to Simba a particular low. We trudged away as we tend to do and managed 2nd for the 3rd year running just pipping Simba on games won after finishing level on points and goal difference. Disappointed to be 11 points off the top. CAF Champions League Shocking performance in the Champions league. We breezed past Niger’s AS Sonidep 13-0 on aggregate, but then were given an awful draw of Sundowns. We lost at home 2-1 and 3-1 away, to end our seasons continental football before the group stage. Tanzanian Federation Cup Another great run in the cup, beating Simba on pens in the semi-final. Young Africans were the opposition in the final though and despite holding a 2-0 lead at one point we webt down 5-4 to lose the cup final for the first time. THE PLAYERS Godfrey Bakari Stalwart at left back for us now. 9 goals and 18 assists. Came 3rd place in the Tanzanian player of the season. David Shabani One of his best seasons yet, chipping in with 18 assists. Charles Singano Developing as a great utility player who has helped out in numerous positions. Ally Makasi Broke into the DM role at the expense of Dickson Sigano and had a great season. Rajab Seif First season in the first team and looks like we have another player on our hands. 6 goals and 12 assists from right midfield. Ali Mgosi Forced his way into the AM role at the expense of the excellent Mwashiuya. 23 goals in 26 starts, 12 assists and 7.83 average rating. Came 2nd place in the Tanzanian player of the season. Hassan Abdallah Goal machine continues his form. 27 goals in 31 games and still only 18. Omary Mwinyi Probably already the clubs best ever. Another 21 goals in attacking midfield, and a superb average rating of 7.90. Salum Kaseke Shoutout to Kaseke who played as Abdallah’s back up. Manged 15 goals in just 10 starts. THE YOUTH INTAKE 1 2 The intakes continue to impress. Mrwanda will challenge the first team and Ali will make a good backup right midfield. Ayoub Tanzman looks like we have our goalkeeper tied down for the next 20 years (if we can keep him). Under 19s finished 2nd. OFF THE FIELD I was offered both the Tanzanian national team job and an interview for the Simba job. Obviously, these were both outright rejected. SEASON REPORT Disappointing not to add silverware again and the Champions League run was really poor. Need to close the gap to the top.
  8. Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Finances - Transfers League Season The season got off to a flyer, beating Simba 3-0 in the final of the community shield to win it for a 4th time. Off the field Daudi Mseja moved on, on a free transfer. A great servant who managed 90 league goals in 201 appearances. His game time had been reducing and it was time for a change. Pre-season odds still had us as outsiders at 25-1. We started well and were top after 5 games with 13 points. Young Africana came to our place on game week 12 and stole away with a 2-1 win with an injury time winner to go 3 clear. It was beginning to feel like we’d never get past these again. It was also 7 games since we had beat them in all competitions. Just past the halfway mark and the other main rivals, Simba, rocked up and beat us 3-2 at home to put us 6 behind Young Africans. That probably meant game over for the title and a battle for 2nd place again. By game week 23, a 2-1 loss away at Azem FC had dropped us down to a disappointing 4th. We pushed on and despite our usual defeat to Young Africans (6-4 this time), we won our other 5 games meaning victory on the final day would guarantee 2nd place and another go in the Champions League. We weren’t at our best, but we scraped past them to pip Azem FC for 2nd on goal difference. CAF Champions League Another go at the big one! We cruised past US GN of Niger in the first round with a 14-0 aggregate win. Then it was off to the Ivory Coast to play AFAD Plateau. A 4-1 away win was followed up with a 2-1 home win to see us comfortably into the group stage. The groups were as tough as ever, but we got off to a great start, beating Algeria’s CR Bélouizdad 4-2 away and fellow Algerians USM Alger 3-0 a home. A good 1-1 draw against Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca was followed up with another victory, 1-0 in Algeria. Then CR Bélouizdad, beat us 2-1 at home and then Casablanca beat us 4-2 also, but we had just about done enough to make it through. Into the quarter-final again and we met Egyptian giants Zamalek, who had previiosuly knocked us out. A superb 4-1 home win was followed up with an excellent 2-2 draw in Egypt to book our place in the semis. Up next the Ghanaians, Asante Kotoko. We played really well in the first leg and probably deserved something, but we came away with a disappointing 3-0 loss. Back in Tanzania and a crowd of nearly 10,000 were up for the fight. Despite going a goal behind in the first half, we scored 3 second half goals and pilled the pressure on. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be and we went out 4-3 on aggregate. So close to a Champions League final! Tanzanian Federation Cup A bit of a drought for our standards in this competition, but we managed to win it for a 6th time beating Simba on the way and league rivals Azam FC in the final. THE PLAYERS Godfrey Bakari Continued last seasons form and is now recognised as a full back. 26 assists from left back and an excellent 7.62 average rating. Kassim Singano Another great season from Kassim with 19 goals from left wing. Salum Mwashiuya The reason why Mseja couldn’t get back in the team. A superb season with 27 goals and 14 assists from attacking midfield. Ali Mgosi Came through the youth team as a striker a couple of seasons ago and has been used sporadically in a number of positions. He does the business though and bagged 15 goals in just 14 starts. Still only 19 and pushing for a starting spot. Hassan Abdallah The main striker now following Ngasa’s departure last season. 24 goals in 42 appearances. Omary Mwinyi Still only 18 but becoming the star of the team. 29 goals, 10 assists and an average rating of 7.73. THE YOUTH INTAKE 1 2 Good intake again. Rajab Seif looks like he can influence the first team already. Under 19s finished 4th. OFF THE FIELD I reached 500 games in management.
  9. SEASON 12 – 2035/36 – Tanzanian Premier League Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 2 Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Finances - Transfers League Season We started the season in scintillating form and after 9 games had won 8 and lost 1. Unfortunately, the 1 loss had come to title rivals Young Africans, going down 4-1 at home. By the halfway point we were sat in 2nd place 6 points off Young Africans, but with a game in hand. We kept pace with them up until game week 20, when once again they battered us 3-0 to open up the gap to 6 points. With 4 left a home defeat to Simba all but ended any title dream and it was now a battle on with Simba to claim the 2nd Champions League spot. We managed to push on and get that 2nd spot but finished 7 points off the top. CAF Confederation Cup Back in Africa’s Europa League equivalent and it all started off pretty much how it has normally gone in these competitions for us. Comfortable (ish) in the qualifiers and then two 3-0 wins and a draw to start the group. We had one foot in the Quarters but the wheels literally fell off and we lost our last 3 to drop to 3rd and crash out at the group stage. Tanzanian Federation Cup A poor season in the cup. A tough draw at home to Young Africans in the last 16 but it meant another big loss to them this season. THE PLAYERS Godfrey Bakari Re-trained into a full back and has now made the left back spot his own. 20 assists and a 7.37 average rating. David Shabani Another excellent season for the DM. Kassim Singano Found his way into the team after 2 years out on loan and as a result Salum didn’t start a single game. 14 goals in 22 starts. Salum Mwashiuya Another great season with 21 in 40 starts from AM. Hassan Abdallah Came through last seasons intake and has the potential to be a goal machine. 23 in 30 starts at just 16. Got his opportunity after Ngasa left for Simba. Omary Mwinyi Starting to look like a real player now and still only 17. 18 goals, 12 assists and an average rating of 7.82. Valued up to £700k already. THE YOUTH INTAKE 1 2 Standard intake in the main. OFF THE FIELD Ngasa had negotiated a release clause in his contract and we were powerless to stop him leaving to rivals Simba. £350k fee also probably lower than what we could have got had we been able to negotiate. SEASON REPORT Disappointing not to add silverware and poor in the CAF confederation. Good to be back in the Champions League.
  10. SEASON 11 – 2034/35 – Tanzanian Premier League Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 2 - Competitions Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers League Season The season got off to a great start, winning the community shield for the 2nd time and beating Young Africans in the final. It was a crazy game, with us finding ourselves 3-0 down at half time. 3 second half goals and then a 91st minute winner from Mohamad saw us beat our main title rivals in a mad game. First league season as Champions and the goal was to try and go again. Despite winning it last year, the bookies still had us as 33-1 outsiders. 6 games in we found ourselves in 3rd spot and already 4 off the top after a disappointing draw at Azam. That game was our 33rd league game unbeaten, although we already felt off the pace. Fountain Gate at home next and the unbeaten run was gone, losing 4-2. Any chance of defending our title were also rapidly disappearing. We started to claw back at it and by game week 16 a 3-2 away victory at rivals Simba had us 2nd and 2 points behind them, although they had played a game less and Young Africans in 3rd had played 2 games less. With 6 to go we found ourselves in 3rd place and 6 off the top and any chance of defending our title were all but gone after a credible 3-3 draw away at Young Africans. The season played out as expected and it wasn’t to be. We finish 3rd and 6 points off top. CAF Champions League Our first taste of Champions League football and the goal was to progress as far as possible and make as much money as we can to invest in the facilities. We started off with a trip to the Central African Republic to play Castel Foot and we managed to brush them aside, winning 10-2 on aggregate. Next up was a much closer tie, travelling to Sudan where we faced Al-Hilal Omdurman. An excellent 2-0 away win was followed up with a 2-1 home win to progress to the group stages. The groups pitted us up against TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rivers United of Nigeria and a real tough one against 10 times winners Zamalek of Egypt. A decent start with a 2-2 draw against TP Mazembe was followed up with 4 excellent wins, including a 3-1 home win against Zamalek to progress through. Zamalek away in the 6th game did bring us back down to earth with a 6-0 hammering. Quarter-finals in our first attempt, not bad!! A tough draw saw us up against another Egyptian side in Al-Ahly. The first leg in Egypt saw a battling performance from the boys but we went down 1-0. Back to our place and we were on the front foot in front of our own fans. We took the lead through Mwashiuya in the 22nd minute only for Sadek to equalise just 10 minutes later. By half time we were unlucky to be 2-1 down. Youngester Mwinyi got us back in level in the 63rd minute but Mokhtar got Al-Ahly back in front in the 67th. Mohamad again equalised for us and an injury time goal from Ngasa put us 4-3 up on the night, but it was too late, and we went out on away goals. A very good first attempt at the Champions League though. Tanzanian Federation Cup Going in as holders for the last years we are always confident in this competition. It wasn’t to be this year though with Azam FC knocking us out on pens in the Quarter-Final after a 4-4 draw. THE PLAYERS Ayoub Kibombo Kibombo again excellent at right back, with another 7 goals and 9 assists. Mussa Salum Typical season from Mussa, with an excellent 16 goals in 24 games. Salum Mwashiuya Has made the AM role his own now. An excellent 7.50 average rating, 17 goals and 13 assists. Samson Mohamed Filling in on both flanks, Mohamed chipped in with an impressive 19 assists, 12 goals and an average rating of 7.53. Omary Mwinyi Break out season for the 16-year-old, playing mainly off the left. 13 goals at 16, not bad and big things to come (hopefully). THE YOUTH INTAKE 1 2 A superb intake. Hassan Abdallah a standout and even managed 2 goals in his only game in the cup. Hopefully a few others who can contribute. 2nd place for the under 19s. SEASON REPORT A pretty standard league season and disappointing to drop back to 3rd after winning it last season. Good effort in the Champions League, but we drop back down to the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
  11. SEASON 10 – 2033/34 – Tanzanian Premier League Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 - Competitions Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Finances - Transfers 1 2 League Season The community shield got off to a bang again beating Young Africans in the semi final 5-1!! Unfortunately, we could win the whole thing again though, as we went down 2-1 to Simba in the final. The league season started in a pretty normal manner with our odds now down to 33-1 and looking reasonable. Despite the unspectacular start, we managed to beat Champions Simba 4-0 in the 4th game at home. By the 10th game a 5-1 victory at home to Ihefu FC saw us sat 8 points behind leaders Young Africans with a game in hand. Game 11 saw us defeat Young Africans in their own back yard, 4-2. This put is 5 points behind with a game in hand despite the average start. By game week 19 we travelled to Simba in 1st place but could only manage a draw, a 6-6 draw!!! A crazy game saw us equalise with 6 minutes left, but at the same time Young Africans scored a 95th minute winner away at Mitbwa Sugar to go two points clear at the top. In the next games Young Africans threw away a 2-0 home lead to draw with Fountain Gate, and we were back top on goal difference. Game 25 for us was a massive one. Young Africans at home and a chance to go clear with a game in hand. They had a man sent off after just 6 minutes and we took full advantage, racing into a 3 goal lead by half time with goals from striker Ngasa, left back Yahya and DM shabani from the spot. Things got nervy in the second half as they pulled two back, but we managed to hold on to win 3-2, despite a late red card for ourselves. This meant we were now two points clear with a game in hand with 5 left to play, ten clear of Simba. We had a real chance now to win our first Premier League. We were brought straight back down to earth with a poor 0-0 away to KMC, who were sat 3rd bottom. We were now back level again, but with a game in hand. We opened it back to 3 points with a 3-0 home win to Namungo and then beat Coastal Union 3-0 to go within two games of the title. A superb 5-2 win at Geita Gold meant the title was all but sealed due to our +15-goal difference over Young Africans but a 2-1 win over Mtibwa Sugar (even though we were trailing) meant we had done it. 10 seasons in and we have our first title!!!! CAF Confederation Cup The CAF confederation cup started in the preliminary round again, where we swept aside Sporting Bissau (Guinea-Bissau) 11-0 on aggregate and Nairobi City (Kenya) 9-1 on aggregate. The group stage saw us up against Future of Egypt, MangaSport of Gabon and Orlando Pirates of South Africa. We flew through the group stage with flying colours winning every game. A 3-0 win away at Orlando Pirates the standout performance. Into the quarter-final and we were drawn up against Morrocco’s FAR Rabat. A superb 5-2 away win meant we had one foot in the semi’s before winning 4-2 at home to go through 9-4 on aggregate. The semi-final proved a little trickier! We travelled to Ghana for the first leg against Medeama SC but ended up losing out 4-2. Back to Tanzania and we wiped the floor with them and ran out 5-1 winners to progress to the final. The final was held at a neutral venue in Algeria, although was still over two legs (which I found quite strange). We were up against Orlando Pirates of South Africa. We had previously beat them twice in the groups, so had reason to feel confident. The first leg ended up a cagey 0-0. The second leg couldn’t have started any worse with us 2-0 down after 11 minutes. We managed to pull one back in the 76th minute through Salum Mwashiuya, but it was too little too late, and it wasn’t to be. So close to our first continental trophy but Runners-up was as good as it got. Tanzanian Federation Cup Going in as back-to-back holders, a second string team got past Dodoma Jiji 4-1 at their place. A tough draw next at home to Azam FC but we demolished them 5-0. Next was another tough draw at home to Simba. An excellent 6-3 win saw us into the semis again. We made harder work of this though than needed. 2-0 up and KMC scored two goals in the same minute to get it back to 2-2. Luckily, Daudi Mseja managed to pop up with 4 minutes left and put us into the final again, where we would meet Young Africans. In front of 60,000 people Young Africans were looking for revenge after we had managed to win our first title. We took the lead through new intake player 15 year old Omary Mwinyi in the 37th minute and doubled it through Salum Mwashiuya in the 65th. Young Africans hit straight back to half the lead and then equalised with 11 minutes left. It felt like we had thrown it away. Cometh the hour!! New star Omary Mwinyi smashed home in the 88th minute and back up right back Selemani Green broke away in injury time to cap it 4-2. A new star in the making and a league and cup double as well as cup winners 3 years in a row. THE PLAYERS Ayoub Kibombo Continues his impressive form this season. 8 goals, 18 assists and a 7.35 average rating Said Ali 2nd season for Ali and he managed a 34 game season with an average rating of 6.94. Andrew Madeleke Partnering Ali, Madeleke had an impressive campaign with 6 goals in 36 games and an average rating of 7.03. David Shabani Continues as one of the first names on the team sheet. 7.43 average rating and 20 goals. Daudi Mseja Now 2nd choice in the attacking midfielder role but managed an impressive 16 goals in 22 starts. Mussa Salum Keeps going strong in left wing, despite the competition building. Another 17 goals, 16 assisits and an average rating of 7.24. Godfrey Bakari Left winger Bakari has broken into the team as the back up left back, despite coming through the academy as a winger. 7.17 average rating and 3 goals in 11 starts. Salum Mwashiuya Made the attacking midfielder slot his own, scoring an impressive 23 in 29 and average rating of 7.57. Samson Mohamad First breakout season for Mohamad. An excellent 7.68 average rating and 15 goals. Peter Mkwasa Another attacking success for the season with 21 in 30 starts. Tanzman Ngasa The main man in the team now and the focal point. 29 goals in 40 appearances. Also finished top scorer for the league. Omary Mwinyi A special mention to Omary Mwinyi who came through the youth intake. Couldn’t play in the league as he wasn’t registered, but played in the cup semi-final, scoring 3 and managed another 2 in the final against the best team in the country. All at just 15 as well. A bug one for the future!! THE YOUTH INTAKE 1 2 Standard intake in the main, with players filtering through to the first team. Mwinyi already a star in the making though and will be in and around the first team next season. Under 19s finished 3rd. OFF THE FIELD Another manager of the season award. The 4th year running and 6th in total. SEASON REPORT A superb season. League and cup winners and unlucky not to make it a treble.
  12. SEASON 9 – 2032/33 – Tanzanian Premier League Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 2 - Competitions Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers League Season Similar to last season, the plan was to build on the previous 3 years and close the gap to the top. Still 50-1 with the bookies, but the odds are drastically closing. The season itself started off in fine form, beating Young Africans 3-0 in the Community Shield Final after beating Azam FC on pens in the Semi-Final. Our first community Shield. The league season couldn’t have got off to a worse start. A 4-3 defeat at Kagera Sugar, despite an XG of 5.8 to their 1.7. So frustrating!! Despite this, we won the next 5 games to take 15 points from a possible 18 and found ourselves 2nd behind Simba. Things continued to be tight at the top and we had an opportunity to get ourselves in the title race when we travelled to Young Africans. We couldn’t replicate our Community Shield win and went down 4-2, leaving us 9 points behind them in 3rd place, although having played a game less. By the time we had beat Geita Gold in our 21st game, we found ourselves just 4 points off Simba in 2nd place, with Young Africans 1 point behind us with a game in hand. A disappointing loss at Coastal Union looked like it had ended any outside chance of a title, but we carried on plodding away and with 5 games left it was a 3-way shootout with us, Young Africans and Simba separated by only 3 points. A 3-2 loss at title rivals Simba meant the title had gone and to add insult to injury, we lost 2-1 at Namungo on the last game. A 3rd place finish and 8 points off the top, meant no title but massive improvement. CAF Confederation Cup Another chance to have a pop at Africa’s second continental competition and hopefully a chance to make some much-needed money. The preliminary put us up against Eritrea’s Red Sea. We comfortably beat them 12-3 on aggregate to meet Coton FC of Benin in the 1st round. An emphatic 8-0 away win was followed by a strange 1-1 home draw to win 9-1 on aggregate. A tough group awaited with; SCC Mohammedia (Morrocco), Al-Masry (Egypt) and Orlando Pirates (South Africa). SSC up first with a 3-1 home win to get the ball rolling. Next up we travelled to Egypt for a famous 2-0 win at Al-Masry. Orlando Pirates beat us home and away, but a win away in Morrocco and a 1-1 draw at home to Al-Masry meant we progressed to the quarter finals. A tough draw against Club African of Tunisia in the quarters and a 1-1 draw in the 1st leg (at home) meant it was all to do in Tunisia. We couldn’t get the job done and went down 2-0 to go out in the last 8. Progress though and some money in the bank. Federation Cup Going in as holders the draw was quite favourable throughout. After beating Mbao, Njombe Mji and Transit camp, we demolished Mbaya City 4-1 in the semis to set up a tough game against Young Africans. A classic final saw us come hit an 88th minute winner from Mohamad after Young Africans had equalised in the 86th minute. What a way to win it and back to back cups as well!! THE PLAYERS Selemani Green A great breakout season for Green, as the back-up RB. Ayoub Kibombo Continues his impressive form at right back, making that position his own. Said Ali Ali broke into the team at centre back. A 6.81 average rating not something to shout about, but 29 first team appearances at 16 definitely something to build on. David Shabani Continued his impressive form. Another 15 goals, albeit 9 them penalties. Daudi Mseja 21 goals in 45 games from attacking midfield and now the clubs leading league goal scorer. Mussa Salum Excellent season at left win again. 22 goals. Samson Mohamad Only made 4 starts but managed 5 goals and bagged the winner in the cup final. Hopefully see more of him moving forward. Tanzman Ngasa Really kicked on this season. 35 goals in 44 appearances, although currently unhappy due to me triggering a contract extension. THE YOUTH INTAKE 1 2 Another good level intake with Andrew Madeleke the pick of the bunch and a possible partner for Said Ali. Under 19s finished 3rd. OFF THE FIELD Reached 300 games in management and manager of the season again. SEASON REPORT Progress made in the league, as it felt like we had a small chance with the title. Great to win the cup again and an acceptable performance in the CAF confederation Cup.
  13. SEASON 8 – 2031/32 – Tanzanian Premier League Fixtures: 1 2 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad: 1 2 - Competitions Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers 1 2 League Season The plan before the season was to build on the previous 2 seasons 3rd and 4th positions and hopefully secure a Champions League place. It would also be nice to close the gap to Young Africans. Despite this, the bookies still had us as massive outsiders at 150-1. The start was pretty typical of us and after 10 games we were sat in 5th place but disappointingly already 8 points off 3rd place Simba. This was however reduced in the next game as we battered them 4-1 at home to close it to 5 and show we still had these excellent performances in us. Another good win at home to Azem FC kept the gap to 6 points to 3rd and 7 to 2nd after 19 games. Over the rest of the season, we stayed in touching distance of both Azam and Simba, but couldn’t close the gap and ended up comfortably in 4th place, 19 points ahead of 5th place. Federation Cup A great season in the cup. Fountain Gate academy beaten by a second-string team in the 2nd round, 5-0 away from home. Then two 4-1 home wins against Fountain Gate and Ihefu FC, both at home. The semi-final doesn’t get any more difficult. Young Africans away in front of 51,000 people. A superb 4-2 win gave us confidence for the final against probably Tanzania’s 2nd biggest team, Simba. Another superb performance saw us come out on top 3-1 to take the cup home for the 2nd time in 3 years and the 3rd time on the save. THE PLAYERS Tanzman Kitandu Now 17 and still going strong as No 1. A value of £85k - £180k very impressive for us and shows good potential. Ayoub Kibombo Another excellent season for Ayoub, with 6 goals, 13 assists and a 7.29 average rating in a new(ish) role at RB. Dickson Singano At 18 years old, Dickson has made the second DM spot his own next to Shabani. David Shabani Rapidly becoming one of the first names on the team sheet. 17 goals (10 pens) in 33 from DM, 14 assists and an average rating of 7.42, as well as a value up to £200k. David Mseja Keeps his form going behind the striker. 16 goals in 34 games. Mussa Salum Continues to impress on the left wing, bagging 17 in 30 and an average rating of 7.30. Frustratingly, his value is still £0. Peter Mkwasa Similar to Salum but on the right. 15 goals in 35 and 17 assists. Tanzman Ngasa The main one of last seasons intake and a natural successor for the outgoing Wandwi. 15 goals in 32 games and a value of up to £325k indicates a good potential. THE YOUTH INTAKE 1 2 Another standard intake for us really, but Said Ali comes in as one of our best players already. The under 19s got back into winning ways, winning their league. OFF THE FIELD The Tanzanian FA offered me the manager’s job, so someone is appreciative of the project 😊. Continental Pro License now achieved and another manager of the season award. We are now the 5th most reputable team in Tanzania. SEASON REPORT Another steady league season, although it would be nice to close that gap. Excellent performance in the cup and back in continental competition which should help the finances. Hopefully we can build on the poor group showing the last time we featured.
  14. SEASON 7 – 2030/31 – Tanzanian Premier League League Table - Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad 1 2 - Competition Review   Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers 1 2 League Season After a 3rd place finish the name of the game this season was to close the gap to the top. Despite the promising season last year, the bookies still had us as massive outsiders at 400-1. The season didn’t quite start as well as last year, with continental competition possibly having an effect. After 10 games we were sat in 8th place on 13 points, 18 points off the top and with a negative goal difference. Things did pick up and after a 3-2 win at Kagera Sugar, we had reached 35 points, 3 points off 3rd spot. An 3-2 win at home to Azem FC in the next game closed the gap further. 2 defeats in the last 9 wasn’t enough to grab that 3rd spot and we finished 8 points behind Azam FC in a respectable 4th place. CAF Confederation Cup Back in Africa’s second continental competition, hoping to build on the semi-final appearance the last time we entered. The preliminary round drew us up against UDIB of Guinea-Bissau. It was a complete walk in the park with a 10-0 away win followed up with a 2-0 home win to go through 12-0 on aggregate. Next up Sagrada Esperanca of Angola. Another rout in the first leg saw us come away with a 5-1 win in Angola and this was followed up with a 3-1 home win to go through 8-1 on aggregate. The groups pitted us up against Plateau Utd (Nigeria), Future (Egypt) and AmaZulu (South Africa). A tough group and it proved with the results, winning only one game, losing 3 and drawing 2 to see us exit at the group stage. Federation Cup Entering the competition as holders, we scraped past Copco away 3-2 in the 2nd round in front of just 247 people. The round of 16 was the end of the line though, disappointingly going out 2-1 away to Coastal Union. THE PLAYERS Tanzman Kitandu 16-year-old goalkeeper made the No 1 spot his own, making 40 appearances and achieving an average rating of 6.91. Ayoub Kibombo Kibombo has gradually been making his way into the first team the last couple of seasons and this year he managed 29 appearances with an average rating of 6.99 David Shabani 16-year-old with an excellent break out season. 32 appearances, 10 goals, 7 assists and a 7.03 average rating. Mussa Salum Another great season for the left winger with 14 goals in 38 games. Peter Mkwasa First season in the first team at 19. 16 goals in 40 games. A good base to build on. Abdallah Wandwi Carried straight on from last season. 19 goals in 40 games but was refusing to sign a new contract and we have unfortunately had to accept a bid from rivals Azem FC for £100k. A great fee, but really frustrating as we felt like we were starting to build something. THE YOUTH INTAKE Another excellent intake, despite it being downplayed at the preview stage. A number of players who can help with the first team. The under 19s came 3rd in their league. OFF THE FIELD Gained continental pro license. Despite a lower league finish, I managed to win manager of the season. SEASON REPORT Pretty steady season. Not really built on last season but 4th place is fine for where we are on the journey. Simba and Young Africans still a few levels above us.
  15. SEASON 6 – 2029/30 – Tanzanian Premier League League Table - Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad 1 2 - Competition Review Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers League Season So pre-season the goal again was to establish ourselves in the league and hopefully build on some previous finishes. The season started off in a decent enough way with 7 points from the opening 4 games. A third of the way through the season and were sat in 4th place on a respectable 19 points and 7 off the top. We managed to just about hang around these spots and by the 20-game mark we were still sat in 4th place although now 10 points off the top. After a 5-3 win away at Arzam, with just 4 games remaining, we moved into 3rd place. We then went one place better with our penultimate game of the season, beating Mashujaa 5-0 at home. After a 10-game unbeaten streak we came across champions Young Africans on the last day of the season. A 2-1 defeat meant we dropped out of the 2nd place champions league spot and into the Confederation cup. Disappointing to miss out on Champions League, but all in all a great season and back into continental competition. Federation Cup Made light work of the 2nd round with a 6-0 win away to Stand Utd. This was followed up with a 4-2 home win to Mwadui Utd in the last 16. A tough home game against Simba saw us battle to a 1-1 draw and manage to get over the line on penalties. Fountain Gate next in the semi-final. 3-3 at full time, but we managed to pull away in extra time and take a 5-3 win to progress to the final. The final pitted us against Ihefu FC and although not one of the traditional big boys, our record against them was completely split with 5 wins each and 1 draw. The first half couldn’t have gone any better. Goals from Juma (25), Tanzman (43) and Salum (45) right on half time meant we went in with a 3-goal lead. We weren’t quite ready for engraving our name on the cup as Ihefu pulled 2 goals back in the 2nd half, but we managed to get over the line and win the cup for the 2nd time!! THE PLAYERS Daniel Kakolanya Another superb season for the 18-year-old right back. 19 assists in 29 games and an average rating of 7.29. Ally Yahya Not quite as impressive as Kakolanya, but a good season on the other side at left back for Ally Yahya. Mussa Salum A good solid season for Mussa Salum on the left wing. Hussein Juma A great break out season for the 16-year-old, with 23 appearances, 8 goals, 12 assists and an average rating of 7.19. Daudi Mseja Carrying on where he left off, 20 goals in 30 appearances from an attacking midfield position. Abdallah Wandwi Second season and Wandwi stepped up again. 17 goals in 28 appearances for the 17-year-old, playing as the main striker. THE YOUTH INTAKE A superb intake with a number of players looking like they could have an immediate influence on the first team. The under 19s also managed to win their league. OFF THE FIELD Reached 200 games in management and bagged a continental A license. The £24k that we received in gate receipts for the cup quarter final against Simba was a new club record. SEASON REPORT Excellent season. 1 game away from a Champions league spot, continental football in the bag and another trophy.
  16. I've got quite a few seasons to upload over the next few days, so apologies in advance if my posts start taking over.
  17. SEASON 5 – 2028/29 – Tanzanian Premier League League Table - Fixtures: 1 2 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad 1 2 - Competition Review Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers League Season With pre-season odds of 900-1, the bookies had us down for a slog of a season. A 3-2 victory away at Kengold saw us sat in 4th place just 2 points off the top with 8 games gone, but just 1 point from the next 4 had us moving back down the table. After 20 games we were sat in a respectable 8th place, a massive 25 points off top, but more importantly 9 points ahead of the relegation play-off positions. We stumbled through the remaining games and despite a 10 game winless run in the middle of the season we managed to secure a respectable 8th place finish. It was our lowest finish since promotion to the league, but we have so far managed to stay away from the relegation zone. Federation Cup The cup got off to a flyer with an 8-0 away win at Njombe Mji in the 2nd round. A tight game in the round of 16 against Mashujaa saw us edge it 3-2 to play TMA Stars FC in the quarters away from home. We scraped past them on penalties to set up a semi final with Simba. A great performance saw us keep them to a 2-2 draw but it wasn’t to be as they put us out on penalties. A good showing and no shame in going out to the 2nd best team in the country on pens. THE PLAYERS Seif Singano Singano established himself as No 1 at just 16, but it shown at times conceding 66 goals in 33 starts. Daniel Kakolanya The 17-year-old made the right back slot his own and ended the season with a respectable 6.91 average rating and also managed to chip in with 6 goals. David Mseja Another good year for Mseja managing to bag 19 in 31. Abdallah Wandwi Not the most mind-blowing season from the 16 year old, but managed 4 goals in 22 starts. THE YOUTH INTAKE Another good intake. A few players who can hopefully contribute to the first team. OFF THE FIELD Coaching badges now at continental B license
  18. SEASON 4 – 2027/28 – Tanzanian Premier League Fixtures: 1 2 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad 1 2 - Competition Review Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers League Season Season 4 and our pre-season odds were still a hefty 1000-1. The plan was to improve on the previous seasons and close the gap to the top, but by the halfway mark it was clear that the season was going to go pretty much how the previous ones had gone. By the end of the season, we found ourselves in 7th place with our lowest finish yet and our lowest points haul. Not the worst season, but no improvement. Federation Cup A really poor showing in the cup this year. Out at the 2nd hurdle and humiliated 4-0 at home to Azam FC. THE PLAYERS Daudi Mseja Decent breakout season for Mseja. THE YOUTH INTAKE Superb intake with a number of players ready to step into the first team next season. Frustratingly, we keep producing high quality left wingers!! We need to spread it out a little. OFF THE FIELD The leagues reputation is increasing and is now the 7th most reputable in Africa. Coaching badges are now at continental C licence level. SEASON REPORT Slightly disappointing season, with the 7th place finish and early cup exit. The money from the 2nd season cup run is all but gone and the youth recruitment and coaching costs are crippling us really. We really could do with getting back into a continental competition next season.
  19. Sorry for spamming! I've got one more season, then I'm up to date
  20. SEASON 3 – 2026/27 – Tanzanian Premier League Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad 1 2 - Competition Review Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers League Season Season 3 and our pre-season odds had halved, although we were still 1000-1 to win the league. Once again, we get off to a great start and found ourselves in 4th position after five games with 4 wins and 1 loss. The form didn’t quite stay at that pace, but we were sat in a handy 5th place with 10 games remaining and it was 5th that we would find ourselves by the end of the season. No continental qualification, but a place higher than the previous season. Federation Cup We faced the league and cup holders, Young Africans, in the 2nd round away from home and came away with an exceptional 5-2 victory. In the round of 16 we despatched of Azam FC 3-1 away from home, meaning we had knocked out two of the favourites. That was as good as it got unfortunately, with Cosmopolitan knocking us out 2-0 in the quarter final. A really disappointing result as Cosmopolitan were relegated from the 2nd tier to the 3rd this season. A big chance missed to get back into continental competition. THE PLAYERS Raphael Aloba Aloba the top goalscorer, with 22 in 29. Apart from him, not much to write home about. THE YOUTH INTAKE By far the best intake yet, with the youth coaching and recruitment improvements clearly having an impact. Musa Salum with 4-star ability the particular highlight. OFF THE FIELD More progression with the youth coaching and facilities SEASON REPORT A decent season, consolidating our place in the league. Didn’t manage to kick on from last season though.
  21. SEASON 2 – 2025/26 – Tanzanian Premier League Fixtures: 1 2 3 - First Team Squad: 1 2 – Under 19s Squad - Competition Review Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers Community Shield Having won last seasons Federation Cup, we entered the Community Shield. Unlike in most countries, Tanzania’s version is a four-team knockout. We faced Simba in the Semi-final and were put to the sword 4-1, before beating Fountain Gate FC on penalties in the 3rd/4th place playoff. League Season Season 2 and African Lyon are back in Tanzania’s top league. Judging by the pre-season odds of 2000-1, it was going to be a long season. It wouldn’t be right to start the new season in the top tier without a top tier kit, so introducing the new home and away strip for African Lyon. The league season itself couldn’t have got off to a better start. A 5-1 win at home against Ihefu SC in the 3rd game saw us sat joint top with Young Africans. Locals were starting to dream of back-to-back titles. However, by the time we played Young Africans in game 11, reality was starting to set in. 3 points from our next 8 games had seen us slip down to 11th place. Things started to pick back up and we worked our way back up the table and was sat in 6th place after 17 games, with an 11-point gap to the relegation places. The form seemed to play out in blocks and a little run of three wins on the bounce at the end of the season saw us finish the campaign in a respectable 6th place. Federation Cup We went into the Federation Cup as holders and with big expectations, having won the trophy last season. The 2nd round pipped us against Copco, where we came out 2-0 winners. The round of 16 was a close affair but we got past Pamba SC with a 2-1 win. In the quarters we met last seasons semi-final opponents Tabora United and progressed with a 3-1 win. Then in the semi-final it was a repeat of last season’s final against Young Africans. This time it wasn’t to be though, as we lost 3-1 in a difficult match. CAF Confederation Cup After winning last seasons cup, we had managed to get ourselves into Africa’s version of the Europa League. I wasn’t sure what the level was or how we would compete, but we ended up with an excellent run. Entering the competition in the Preliminary Round, we came up against Medlow Megbi of Eritrea. A great performance in Eritrea saw us come home with a 5-2 lead. It was a closer game back in Tanzania, but we came out on top 3-2 and 8-4 on aggregate to progress. The 1st round proper pipped us against Jwaneng Galaxy of Botswana. In the away leg we demolished them 5-0. The 2-2 draw back in the home leg didn’t matter, as we were through 7-2 on aggregate to progress to the Group stage. The first group game was a tricky one against SuperSport United of South Africa going down 3-2 at home. Next was a trip to the Republic of the Congo to face Diables Noirs and we manged to come away with a 2-2 draw, getting our first point on the board. SuperSport United again next (for some reason) and we came away from South Africa with an excellent 4-2 win. We had arrived in the group. This was followed up with a 3-1 home win over JS Kabylie, of Algeria, and a 7-1 thumping at home to Diables Noirs. A 2-0 defeat in Algeria didn’t matter and we were through to the Quarter Final stage, where we would face Remo Stars of Nigeria. It was a close tie in Nigeria with the game ending 2-2, but we put them to bed back in Dar Es Salaam with a comfortable 5-0 victory. Next up was Al-Masry of Egypt. Our biggest test yet. 6,000 flocked into the Uhuru Stadium to watch African Lyon take on one of our toughest opponents to date. They weren’t disappointed as we came out of the game with a 3-1 win and one foot in the final. Off we went to Egypt to seal the deal, or so we thought. We were battered 7-1 and brought back down to earth. The CAF Confederations dream was over, but what a journey it had been. Till next time… THE PLAYERS Mussa Gadi Another great season for Gadi, with 32 goals in 43 games. Raphael Aloba Aloba also continued his goalscoring with 31 goals. 63 goals between the front two. THE YOUTH INTAKE Another good intake, with Mwinyi, Bocco and Haule hopefully able to add to the first team numbers next season. OFF THE FIELD After a little persuasion, the board agreed to improve on both the youth recruitment and junior coaching. The finances look in good shape with the money from the CAF Confederation Cup run having a massive impact. SEASON REPORT Overall, an excellent season, with a respectable 6th place finish and progression to two cup semi-finals. Plenty to build on for the future.
  22. SEASON 1 – 2024/25 – Tanzanian Championship (Tier 2) Fixtures: 1 2 - First Team Squad – Under 19s Squad - Competition Review Manager Profile: Characteristics - Attributes Club Profile - General - Facilities - Honours - Finances - Transfers League Season First season in management and it’s the Tanzanian 2nd tier. We got off to an absolute flyer and after 14 games we had P14 W12 D0 L2 for our record. First season promotion was a real possibility with 2 automatic places and 2 play-off positions available. A hiccup at home to Cosmopolitan did little stop the momentum and by the time we got to game week 26, we had a nice 7-point lead with 4 games left to play. A 1-0 away victory over Pan-African sealed promotion with 3 games left to take the title. The following week we managed a 2-0 home win to Mbao meaning promotion at the first attempt and our first trophy. Federation Cup With our super form in the 2nd tier, it would be interesting to see how this translated to the Tanzanian Cup. We faced Stand United, from the lower leagues in early December, and ran out comfortable winners, 4-2 on the night. The 2nd round took us to Mbeya City of the Premier League. A superb 3-1 victory showed that we could hold our own with the league above. For the round of 16 we were again drawn against Premier League opposition, this time Ihefu SC at home. A much closer game, but we managed to edge it 4-3. Azam FC, again of the Premier League, for the quarter-final saw us overcome then with a great 3-1 victory, meaning we was into the semi-final in our first season. Tabora United were no match for us as we swept them aside 4-0 to book our place in the final, where we would meet Young Africans, a team who had walked the Premier League. It was a crazy game and Young Africans were always on the attack. Despite this, we managed to open up an early two goal lead with goals from left winger Adallah in the 18th minute and striker Aloba in the 33rd. Straight after the break Kitandu pulled a goal back for the opposition, only for Abola to re-instate our two-goal lead with half an hour left to play. Young Africans went straight down the other end to cut the lead back to one, before we added a fourth with an own goal. A third goal from Young Africans with ten left meant it would be a cagey ending, but we closed up shop and held out to win 4-3, to take the cup and qualify for next seasons CAF Confederation Cup. THE PLAYERS Winning the league and cup double meant a lot of great performances. The standouts were: Morice Malaki Our 29-year-old attacking full back managed to register 16 assists in 31 games. Kassim Simbaulanga On the opposite side to Malaki, Simbaulanga managed 9 assists as well as chipping in with 4 goals. Omary Wayne Our main man in the middle of the park. 6 goals, 13 assists and an impressive 7.46 average rating for the season. Ramadhani Hashim Playing on the right of a 4-man midfield, Hashim contributed with an impressive 16 goals and 11 assists. Mwarami Abdallah Abdallah played on the opposite flank and chipped in with 10 goals and 13 assists. Mussa Gadi The main man for our goals. Gadi finished the season with 30 in 31 games and an average rating of 7.70. Raphael Aloba Gadi’s strike partner finished with 20 goals in 31 games meaning the two of them had contributed to 51 goals for the season. THE YOUTH INTAKE A good intake to get us running, with Adam Tanzman and John Mzamiru the standouts. Hopefully they can contribute next season. OFF THE FIELD Off the field not much to write home about yet. Finances are decent but the projection doesn’t look great as things stand.
  23. After about 10 attempts, I think I may have found my save for this years version. African Lyon in Tanzania is the next stop.
  24. About to start my 5th attempt at this challenge on this version of FM. It's been so frustrating this year. In the past I've literally had one youth save for the whole year and not had any other saves. Had a great save going in Kazakhstan, only for the 4th season not to load the league fixtures. Anyway, I've had relative success in Iceland in the past, so lets give that one a go again...
