I have the transfer window on. Well at least I have a defined style of play and I did relatively well at Eintracht Frankfurt in the save. It is a proper Gegenpress style of play which is consistent across all the four clubs I have managed so far. And I have got to a good start at Rennes, I took over the club in the relegation zone and now we are well clear of it.

We are climbing up the table in the league. Arthur Theate went to Valencia for 40 million pounds. Lovro Majer went to Sevilla for 21.5 million pounds. Christopher Wooh went to Reims for 1.1 million pounds. We have progressed to the next round of the French Cup after beating Le Mans and we will face AS Monaco in the next round of the cup.

After nearly 18 months in charge of Eintracht Frankfurt I have now left the club to join Rennes in Ligue 1. We left Eintracht Frankfurt in 13th place in the Bundesliga and now we are in a relegation battle in Ligue 1. This is what the Rennes squad looks like.

First quarter review (2025-26 season) We are 9th in the league with 11 points from 8 games. Ismail Saibari has been the clear stand out player for us so far this season. We have to do our best to score more goals and stay afloat in the league. Also we got knocked out of the Europa Conference League early by FK Austria Vienna. So that was embarrassing. Cameron Archer came on loan from Aston Villa and Jayden Addai came on loan from Juventus. Also we got Dickson Job on a free transfer.

Ansgar Knauff went on loan to Mallorca. Moises Ramirez joined the club from Marseille for 7.5 million pounds. Faride Alidou went on loan to Royal Antwerp. Strahinja Erakovic joined the club from Red Star Belgrade for 5 million pounds. We are going to face Schalke 04 in the next round of the DFB Pokal.

Ali Akman went on loan to NEC NIjmegen. Aurel Wagbe went to Mainz for 1.7 million pounds. Nacho Ferri went to Augsburg for 1.4 million pounds. Fabian Rieder joined the club from BSC Young Boys for 35.5 million pounds. Bright Arrey-Mbi joined the club from FC Internazionale for 7 million pounds.

End of season review. We had a very strong end to the season so I am really happy with that. We finished 7th in the league with Eintracht Frankfurt, really happy that we have managed to qualify for European competition. We are going to be in the Europa Conference League next season. And next season is something to look forward to.

Third quarter season review. (2024-25 season) We look promising despite not playing the best football, we are in touching distance of the European spots. Our form is not sustainable and our football is honestly not sustainable. We are getting lucky in games and we have somehow held on to 8th spot. I will take it, but the football needs to get better. Our new signings are bedding in, we need to get new ideas soon.

Mid season review. (2024-25 season) We look good to qualify for European competition next season. Just had a bit of a wobble. I will admit though, based on the performances we are in a bit of a false position. But I will take it. No one has really been a standout performer. But players like Omar Marmoush and Rafael Santos Borre have chipped in with vital goals. At the back, Anthony Rouault has been good. Nathan Patterson has also been a good performer. Nico Elvedi has been a good performer as well, before he left for Al Hilal for 17.75 million pounds. Adam Loune signed for Basel as well for 165k pounds and Ansgar Knauff went to Royal Antwerp on loan.

First quarter update. (2024-25 season) We are currently 4th in the Bundesliga. We made a good start to the campaign. Looks like Eintracht Frankfurt is a good fit for me. The goals have been spread around and I am thrilled with the overall development of the team.
