  1. Glad to see the tread so active straight away! I'm back after a shock sacking after a board takeover last year that killed any FM motivation. Merthyr Town this year for me, a Welsh club playing in the English pyramid. Hopefully we can manage until the first intake without an injury crisis since there's only 14 players at the club to start.
  2. Wiener Sport-Club 2036/37 Competitions - Admiral Bundesliga (1, 2) - It was never even close this season, we hit the top after 4 games and ran away from the rest of the league finishing 20 points clear and undefeated!! Austrian FA Cup - We may as well just keep this in the trophy cabinet at this point, 3 in a row. UEFA Champions League - The draw for our games left us facing 2 teams that have previously knocked us out of this competition as well as last seasons winners Aston Villa. It didn't start well with a 3-0 loss to Chelsea, after that we wont the games we should have against Dynamo Kyiv, PSV Eindhoven & Maccabi Haifa, managed a surprise win against Atlético de Madrid and got draws against Inter Milan, Aston Villa and FC Porto. All of this left us with 15 points and 10th place in the League Phase, missing out on the top 8 by 1 goal. Juventus in the knock-out playoff were tough but a monumental home performance saw us advance to the last 16 for the first time in the clubs history. A 2-2 draw in the home leg left me hopeful we might actually get something from the tie, a 5-1 loss at Old Trafford brought me back down to earth and made me realise that we are still a long way away from even being close to being considered as an outsider. Squad - There's a good spread of ages now and I think it really showed with some of the results we managed to grind out that I think we would have lost in previous seasons. A lot of talent coming through too, giving everyone the playing time they need is starting to be an issue though, not helped by only being able to have 10 loans out in a season. Key Players Ivo Cosic (31YP5) - 25 goal contributions in 24 league games and by far his best season since he broke through, I forget he's still only 21 since he's been around the first team for so many years now. Niklas Ambos (25 YP3) - Mr. Dependable, didn't play a huge number of games in the league this season but when he did he came up big, played a massive role in the cup win and in Europe too, Got his first cap for Austria as well, which was long overdue but I'm biased. Youth Intake (Full View) - Some really good personalities again this year and new flags too! If they develop right I think the majority of these guys could play a part in the first team in a few years. Mu Qing (37YP2) - Probably not actually the best of the crop this year but I'm a sucker for an unusual nationality and I don't think he's that far from the ability of the CB's for the China national team. Transfers - Lots of money in again, no-one who went out was a massive loss since they had replacements lined up already and in the case of Popovic was moved on so his replacement could take his game time. Finances - £140m or so in the bank now... I'd struggle to get into trouble at this point I think. Other - Our U18's won the UEFA Youth League at a canter with a 7-0 win in the final! The future looks bright. We had 3 player make the NXGN 50 list this season with Dušan Milivojević (34YP10), Lukas Weissinger (33YP5) & Robert Kehl (34YP3) coming in 48th, 17th & 3rd respectively.
  3. Wiener Sport-Club 2035/36 Competitions - Admiral Budesliga (1, 2) - It went right down to the wire this year. At the league spilt the top 4 had got a gap on the rest of the league and over the championship group both Austria Wein and SK Rapid dropped off the pace leaving just us and RB Salzburg fighting it out. Despite only dropping 2 points after the league split we went into the last game of the season, against RB Salzburg, with only a 1 point advantage and knew it was a must win, and win we did! An early goal settled the nerves and we sealed it in the 2nd half to confirm the 2nd league title of my reign. Austrian FA Cup - A fairly straight forward run to the final this year where we beat one of our city rivals on penalties after spending 120 minutes trying our hardest to not score a goal despite having some of the easiest chances I've seen in a long time. UEFA Champions League - Bit rough this one isn't it. Got through the qualifiers pretty easily and got what I thought to be a decent draw for the league stage with some winnable games against some smaller teams. We lost the games I was hoping to be competitive in against Getafe, Celtic, Braga and Dynamo Kyiv so that's not ideal but we somehow managed wins against PSG, Lyon and RB Leipzig leaving us on 9 points and making it into the knockout playoff round. We drew Serie A champions Inter and we may as well have not shown up if in honest, the difference was massive and they sent us packing 5-1 on aggregate. Squad - On the whole the squad is looking very good now and the challenges are starting to move away from plugging gaps that haven't got a developed player and more towards retaining the talent that I have now. I think I'm going to have to start renewing contracts for my key players every 6/12 months when possible to try to avoid teams coming in for them and making them kick up a fuss. Key Players Fabio Kopp (27YP9) - The most important player this season for me. 15 goals and 13 assists in 28 starts and off the wing too! He's been a solid player for us for a few years now and somehow has never had any interest shown from other teams or been anywhere near a full international cap. Florian Heimann (25 YP4) - The yearly update on him at this point. 30 league goals, 38 in all competitions. He's retained Austrian Player of the year (first player to do so since David Alba), came 2nd in the European Golden Boot and won pretty much everything else he could. He's the clubs all time top scorer now too with 172 league goals and I can't see him slowing down any time soon unless someone from this years intake can push him out. Youth Intake (Full View) - A good intake again with a nice number of players that look like they could move into the first team eventually. Some new nationalities too, shame they look like they might be a bit rubbish but they've got a contract anyway in the hope my staff have just got it wrong. Tobias Bierofka (36YP1) - Apparently has the potential to be a star and significantly better than Heimann. Already has decent physical and mental stats, the technicals are woeful though so lots of work to be done here. Transfers - Another big season, we lost Dominik Danneberg (29YP2) for £35m, I'd really rather have kept him but he had a real tantrum and the whole team started falling out over it so off to Ukraine he went, there's a 50% of profit clause because I imagine he'll be off to one of the big leagues in a year of two and I think it'll be for a big fee unless he runs his deal down. Róbert Svec (27YP10) left too, don't know why he isn't on the transfer history but West Ham came in with £22.5m and the board accepted on my behalf, then used the fees to pay off the loans taken to build a new stadium in full. Finances - The clubs at a point now where money isn't and issue, there's only 1 more youth facility upgrade possible and the option hasn't popped up for me yet. Other We had players in the league Team of the Season for the first time in the save this year, interesting since we won the league year before last but apparently none of our team were good enough to make it then. The team won Best Team in Austria too, don't know what this award is but it can't be a bad thig right.
  4. @kdavva74Rene Balitsch looks like he could be a player to build around for the future! @pan_panic Couldn't have asked for a better start could you really. I'm sure your set pieces will get you points in the Serie A nest season, especially since you seem to have a pretty solid defence too.
  5. @kdavva74 really building some solid foundations, once your first years youth players break into the team you'll fly up the league.
  6. Wiener Sport-Club 2034/35 Facilities - Manager Profile Competitions - Admiral Bundesliga (1, 2) - Any hope of retaining the title was lost after our worst start to a season in the save, 8 points from the first 9 games left us sat 2nd bottom in the league and I was genuinely a little for my job. A strong run left us sat in 3rd before the league split and that form carried into the Championship group, ending the season in 2nd just 2 points off champions RB Salzburg. Kicking myself for not managing to pick points up early this year because I think we'd have ran away with it if we had a decent start. Austrian FA Cup - 4 finals and 3 wins now in the last 5 years, really making this one our own! I've been using the FA Cup to give some of my younger players starts, Robert Kehl (34YP3) has really benefitted from this and is in with a genuine shout of being my starting keeper next season at the age of 16. UEFA Champions League - Bit harder than the other ones isn't it! Just about scrapped into the knockout playoffs with a win over a Manchester United team that really didn't turn up.... Only to draw Manchester City in the playoff, managed a 2-2 draw in the home leg before heading off to the Etihad and a 34 year old Erling Haaland did what he does scoring 4 goals and dropping us out of the competition. UEFA Youth League - The kids faired better, 7th place in the league phase and reaching the 2nd knockout round before losing to FC Andorra's U18 team. Squad - Unlike previous years I don't have any worries about depth with the team now, if anything there's maybe a few too many players knocking about. I've tried to better utilise loans this year to make sure the kids are developing and getting real game time since my B team are down in the unplayable leagues. Could be a big turnover during the summer window if I can't convince a number of players that we're actually pretty good now. Key Players Róbert Svec (27YP10) - A slight change to the system really allowed Róbert to come into his own, our best player by a distance this year but I don't think I'll be able to keep hold of him for next since Premier League clubs are circling. Niklas Ambos (25 YP3) - Fantastic in the league, rubbish in the cups. One of our earlier talents to come through and I think how far the squad has come is really showing with the fact that this guy didn't end up playing as often as he probably should have done. Topped 200 league appearances this season. Youth Intake (Full View) - A couple of very good players, a handful that'll maybe develop into depth players and 7 or 8 that didn't have a future with the club. Overall pretty decent, some good personalities and the first South American to come through. Sven Bettmer (35YP1) - A very good personality and not too far from the first team from the day he joined, I've big hopes for him. Shame about him only being child sized but you can't have it all I guess, finger crossed there's a growth spurt coming. Transfers - I didn't plan on making any important sales this year but when Young Boys came in with £10m for my 2nd choice striker I couldn't justify rejecting it. Ellmer left for £1.5m too, he was one of the higher potential players we have but he'd just not developed and as 21 I can't see him coming good, especially with his casual personality, so I bit Mainz's hand off when they came in on deadline day. Finances - The Champions League is alright isn't it. £44m in the bank so I think that's any money worries gone now, but on the off chance the board decide to build the new stadium they're mulling over out of gold I'll be keeping an eye on them. Other - On the back of the influx of money I got the board to agree to an upgrade for the youth facilities so that leaves us with only 1 more to go until everything is maxxed out. One of our former players, and record sale, Paul Daun was on the move again. Marseille fancied a new fullback and thought he was worth up to £114m, We'll end up with about £16m of this from the % of profit clause that was in the initial sale. Florian Heimann (25 YP4) carried on finishing 2nd in things with it being the League, Golden Boot and Austrian Sports Magazine Player of the Year this time. He did manage to win the overall Austrian Player of the Year so maybe his luck is changing now. Somehow is still being almost completely ignored on the international front though. Dominik Danneberg (29YP2) is throwing a bit of a wobbly because he wants to go play with a stronger squad but he's still got 4 years on his contract and is our best player so I've told him to suck it up. I think 2 players are on his side but the majority of the team are with me so I don't think that has a chance to spiral out of control. The day after I made this update the board announced the new stadium, despite having secured funding for about half the total cost the board have taken the opportunity to take the full £28.5m out of the club. Not a bad price for 22k seats though, I'm hoping that can go up to 32k-37k fully expanded, only 2 years until we move in too!! I'm hoping we'll be Austria's best team by that point.
  7. I'm surprised it's a nation that hasn't been completed yet tbh, there's a lot going for Austria, they're pretty high in the coefficients so they get plenty of places in Europe on top of that their youth rating is pretty high and game importance is high too. I didn't realise how well the nation was set up for this either, the top 2/3 clubs in the Bundesliga will be hard to displace though, they're spending crazy amounts on money in my save.
  8. Wierner Sport-Club 2033/34 Competitions Admiral Bundesliga (1, 2) - The eagle eyed amongst you might have noticed that trophy isn't the FA cup. League champions!!!! The final points tally would have got us 3rd in 4 of the last 5 seasons and it's the 2nd lowest to win the league since the save was started, so it was more a case of the usual 2 at the top having an off season rather than us stepping up but a win is a win and I'll take them all. We only actually lead the league for about 60 minutes all season, luckily they were the last 60 minutes. Straight into the Champions League's League stage next season for the clubs debut in Europe's premier club competition. Austrian FA Cup - Couldn't make it 4 finals in 4 years, out in the quarter final. UEFA Europa League - Straight into the league phase this year and that was pretty straight forwards, only dropping 4 points and finishing in 6th place after the league phase was finished. Basel in the round of 16 didn't really pose a threat as we beat them 5-2 over two legs. Rennes were a different story though, 1-1 in both legs over 90 minutes led to extra time, I thought we'd done it when Fabio Kopp put us ahead in the 107th minute but it wasn't to be. Rennes scored 2 late goals to win the tie 4-3 on aggregate. Squad - It's looking much more balanced now, still a little low in quality at the back. Lots of players are getting interest from some of Europe's big boys now, doing well in the continental competitions does have its drawbacks. Key Players Florian Hiemann (25YP4) - He's got a new face due to a mis-click with my regen face pack but he's still scoring goals. 29 in the league left him 2nd in the golden boot which was sort of the theme for his season with him coming runner up in both the Austrian Sports Magazine Player of the Year and the Austrian Player of the Year. Fabio Kopp (27YP9) - Averaged a 7.34 in the league and was just always a guy I could rely on to put a solid shift in, his G/A aren't mind blowing but they all seem to have come at the right time in important games. Youth Intake (Full View) - Solid again, 5 4.5* and higher potential players and a few higher rated defensive players which will do the team good in the coming years. Some good personalities too! Dominik Wilhelm (34YP1) - My assistant reckons this is the guy with the highest potential in the intake. Another forward, but I think he might be the first to come through the academy with the consistent trait from the off. Robert Kehl (34YP3) - I think Ole has got it wrong though. To have a valuation of between £5.6m and £9.8m the day he signed on means this kid has to be something special, surely. I'm thinking I'll bring him in as my cup goalkeeper next season and see how he comes along Transfers - Nothing of note really, the only outgoings either didn't get game time or I couldn't see developing into a player that would be in the first team. Finances - Lost about £10m over the season, which isn't ideal. Might be able to hold off on a big player sale for another season at least, hopefully some Champions League money will come rolling in next season and keep me in the black. Other - The board agreed to upgrade the training facilities which leaves the clubs facilities looking like this. They then decided it was time to expand the stadium from being 8000 capacity to just shy of 12000 costing a little less than £4m. Then as soon as the season had ended they scrapped this idea despite having already spent the money in favour of just building a whole new one. Not sure the board should be left in charge of any money if this is what they're going to be like. Ivo Cosic (31YP5) was in the NXGN List again, coming in at No. 41 despite having a pretty poor season really. Jannik Schlicke (30YP6) won European Golden Boy but I think half of his appearances were for my B team at the back end of last season so I don't think that entirely legitimate.
  9. That money is pretty much what funded my youth recruitment and junior coaching all the way to max before I even got promoted in my first few seasons, pretty much the reason my run has been relatively pain free so far.
  10. @kdavva74 The money for playing Austrian players is a godsend isn't it, that's what fully funded my youth upgrades in the early years. Be aware that it stops when you get to the top division so make the most of it while you can.
  11. Congratulations @_JHTB_, I'm always amazed how quickly some people can get through this challenge!
  12. Wiener Sport-Club 2032/33 Competitions Admiral Bundesliga (1, 2) - A poor start left us well off the pace and we spent the season fighting for 3rd as the top two were nearly 20 points clear at the League Split. Managed some good results in the Championship stage but the team never really looked sure of themselves, Comfortably winning against RB Salzberg before getting taken apart by a bottom team the following weekend. Came home in 4th, I think we've cemented ourselves as a team that competes for 3rd now. Austrian FA Cup - Back to back to back finals and we came out on top again this year!! Our hardest game on paper came in the Semi-Final where we drew RB Salzberg but but a 4-0 win made it feel routine. The final was against a team in the 2nd division so I game some key players a rest and we made it a 2nd FA cup in 3 years with a 2-0 win. UEFA Europa Conference League - I expected to have a run into the Knock-out rounds and the team didn't disappoint. Eased through the qualifying rounds and into the League Stage where it was more of the same winning 5 of our 6 games and drawing the other, what was most impressive is we didn't concede a single goal on the way! The round of 16 saw us come up against Astana which was another straight forward tie with us coming out 4-1 winners on aggregate. Unfortunately that was as far as we could go, Liverpool proving to be too much in the Quarter Final beating us 7-1 over 2 legs. The good performances were noted though with 2 of our players making the Team of the Tournament. Our new No.1 Goran Popović (27YP1) and Stefan Schwarz (28YP4) who has been stepping in up top since we've had some injury problems. Squad - Largely the same as the last few years, we're still weakest at the back and that's costing us points over the season but it's not like we can just buy someone is it , players are coming through though. Key Players Dominik Danneberg (29YP2) - Played much more football than I'd planned for him to this season due to a sale and looked at home from the start. Signed his first 'proper' contract at the start of this season and his agent locked in a £32.5m release clause from the off, given he's currently got the highest value in the squad by a distance he might be something really special. Jonas Fink (29YP6) - By far our best CB even though it was his first year with the senior squad. He's developed a lot over the year so I'm hopeful that I can move onto worrying about being light in another area of my team soon. Youth Intake (Full View) 2 5* and 3 4.5* players so another solid intake, there's been a real lack of fullbacks over recent years but until they get bought that wont be an issue. Jordan Altier (33YP1) - Looks like he could be the best of the bunch this year. Solid if unspectacular stats already, I'll see if I can improve his personality but if not I think he'll still come along nicely. Transfers Some big outgoings this season, Wimmer was always going since he said he wouldn't sign a new deal £1.7m was a very good fee for him under the circumstances. Huemer and Els I'd rather have kept but release clauses were met and off they went, luckily we had ready made replacements in the B team already. Paul Daun who we sold a few years ago was on the move again, to Wolfsburg for a fee rising to nearly £50m so we'll be getting about £15m from that over the next couple of seasons. Finances - Looking very healthy now, most of it will be pumped back into upgrades when the board give the option. Other - With the influx of cash we got straight onto hassling the board to spend it, they agreed to upgrade the training facilities at the start of the year and as soon as that was done I got them to agree to a further upgrade that'll be completed just before the new season. Hopefully the carry on being so agreeable. Jonas Fink (29YP6) and Ivo Cosic (31YP5) made the NXGN list this year, Cosic was a bit of a surprise because he felt very meh when he was on the pitch, but I'll take it. Stefan Schwarz (28YP4) had a good year scoring 29 in 35. Almost half of these goals came in Europe leading him to finish 3rd in both the Player of the Season and Golden Boot awards. This season has really made me realise the true scale of this challenge. The team is getting better but the pace has slowed right down, which is to be expected, it's just a slow grind to gain club reputation and crossing my fingers in early March for the next couple of decades now! Overall a very good first decade.
  13. @Vlach Massive Fa cup tie against United that, was it at old Trafford or your place?
  14. @Traldon You're so close to that top 3, fingers crossed with a year under his belt Scherder can help turn some of those draws into wins. @Johnny Ace Nice to see you staying positive! Looks like your defence is pretty solid, I'm imagining some unlucky 1-0 losses cost you, sure you'll be there or there abouts next season. @HanziZoloman Surely next year has to be the year, I think I'm more invested in Billericay than my save at this point.
  15. Wiener Sport-Club 2031/32 Competitions Admiral Bundesliga (1, 2) - Another solid season ending in another 4th place finish. Our form took a hit after the league split again this season, the players really showing their lack of experience against some of the bigger teams meanig we dropped more points than I'd like from winning positions. Austrian FA Cup - All the way to the final again and the same opponent when we got there, unfortunately they just had too much for us on the day. UEFA Europa League - Eased past the play-off without any problem, the league phase was tough but we won the games we should have leaving us in 19th. We faired much better against FC København in the play-off knock out round than we did in the league phase and it was the same story in the Round of 16 against Rangers. FC Köln we're a step too far, but I'm more than happy with a quarter final appearance and the players showing that they deserve to be around Europe's bugger clubs. Squad - Slightly bigger first team than I usually like to work with this season but plenty of game time to go around. Still struggling with quality at the back but there's a couple of young players I'm hoping will develop and challenge for places in the next season or two. Key Players Robin Wimmer (26YP3) - Rather frustrating really, he started the season by deciding he'd rather not train, then he missed a match. Usually I'd just pop someone like this into the U18's, set their training to maximise injury and forget they exist until their contract is up. Can't really justify doing that with him being one of the better players so we had a talk about his recent conduct and that seemed to sort everything out.... Until he decided to consider his options with 18months left on his contact, so I'll be trying to cash in on him over the summer. Alexander Huemer (26YP1) - Another solid season from a player who's quietly gone about becoming the teams most valuable player, might have trouble keeping him though since he's wanted by half of the Bundesliga, has a release clause at the top end of his value and won't talk to me about a contract. I'll just keep my fingers crossed. Youth Intake - 9 seasons in and I've only just realised it's possible to see you intake in a squad view. Overall another very good intake with the personalities being the main positive for me since we've struggled to bring though decent ones in any number. Leon Dittrich (32YP1) is my pick of them, he's not far from the ability of my current No.1 already and can get much better. Transfers - Nothing much this season really with the only notable outgoing being Daniel Berger (28YP6) - Who doesn't show on the transfer screen because he threw a tantrum and I relegated him to the B-Team before his move, 850k and 50% of any profit wasn't a bad price though. Finances - The ever increasing player wages aren't doing us any favours but we've still got a positive balance (just), I expect it to just carry on like this with any large player sales boosting the balance and allowing for upgrades. While on the topic of player sale, Paul Daun who went to Fenerbahçe a couple of seasons back is currently at the center of a bidding war between a few Premier League and Bundesliga teams so I'm following that hopeful the fee ends up being quite large considering we're due 50% of anything over £14m. Other We got a new HOYD in Björn Reichert, Model Citizen, lots of high stats and preferences that match how I play!! Almost perfect, the only thing letting him down is the preferred formation but even that's only a veery very small negative. Three players in the NXGN List, Richárd Tóth (29YP4), Dalibor Stupić (30YP8) and Peter Els (28YP8) coming in 50th, 49th and 2nd respectively. Florian Heimann (25 YP4) continued doing what he does and won Austrian Sport Magazine's Player of the Year as well as coming in 3rd for Austrian player of the year.
  16. I wasn't expecting anything to come from it if I'm honest... Always nice to see a new flag in the intake though.
  17. Wiener Sport-Club 2030/31 Competitions Admiral Bundesliga - Another solid season, the league was fairly clearly split into two 6's even before the official split. We made it into the Championship group for a second year, finishing in 5th during the opening stage. We fared much better this season in the Championship group, only losing two games of the ten. Finished the season in 3rd and qualifying for the UEFA Europa League Playoff nest season, even if we lose that it'll be another year in the UEFA Europa Conference League league stage. Austrian FA Cup - Champions!!! We needed to rely on penalties twice to make it to the final where we met RB Salzberg, who have won this in 14 of the last 16 seasons. 2-0 up just after half time and I was thinking that it might be more simple than I thought, the game had other ideas though. A red card and two Salzberg goals followed and it left the game heading to extra time and there's no way we'd have been able to win that while down to 10 men but Niklas Ambos (25 YP3) won it in the 95th minute with the last kick of the game! A second trophy for the club during my tenure and the clubs first FA Cup win since 1923. UEFA Europa Conference League - Much better showing than I was expecting, managed to get to the league stage and only just missed out on the top 8 leaving us to play Maccabi Tel-Aviv for a place in the last 16, 0-0 away from home and I was geared up for more of the same in the 2nd leg, I couldn't have been more wrong, an 8-0 win saw us into the last 16 and a tie against Everton, they were a different class winning 6-1 on aggregate. Squad - Starting to look a little light in defence now, really showing that the stand out players in the last few years intakes have been more attacking. Key Players Mustafa Alper Yiş (25 YP1) - Rated as decent for the league below but you'd never know with some of the performances he put in, kept us alive more than a couple of times during the season. He might have to start taking a step back though now I've got a few keepers coming through with better potential. Sören Amelsberger (28YP7) - His first season in the main squad and he didn't look out of place at all, he's developed a lot over the season and I'm hoping for more of the same next year. Florian Heimann (25 YP4) - 37 goals in all competitions and 22 in the league! Another fantastic season from the main man up top ending with the 2nd league golden boot of his short career and 2nd top scorer in the Conference League. Youth Intake (2nd Screen) - Another good intake, the number of 5* talents has fallen from previous years but I think that more to do with my teams ever increasing ability than the quality of the intake dropping. Thomas Feigenwinter (31YP4) - looks like he's one of the best from this year, good potential with a decent base and a half decent personality, think we'll be seeing him in the first XI in the coming years. Transfers - Nothing major this year, started loaning out some of the youth so they get game time in competitive leagues and can come back to challenge for the main team. Peter Els (28YP8) - The stand out from this years loans, missed out on winning the 2nd division with his loan club by 1 point but came in as the leagues top scorer. Labelled the next Hans Kranlke, who after a little googling looks to be well in the conversation for best Austrian of all time as well as having a short spell at the club in the late 80's scoring 40 goals in 60 games, so no pressure there then. He'll get minutes next season. Finances - We're back to just not looking at this screen, no upgrades or anything this season and we've lost £5m even with the extra prize money from Europe. Other - Won a couple of Manager of the Year awards (1, 2) and the club gained nearly 90k social media followers (don't actually understand the importance of this). Two of our players just creeped onto the NXGN list this year, Peter Els (28YP8) and Jan Matušovič (28YP3), not sure I'll be able to keep hold of Matušovič for much longer because of a £4.8m release clause and he's not keen on renewing right now but if he does go the money will be greatly appreciated. We've got an affiliate that might send us youth players, the board let me pick myself and much to my surprise they actually accepted a link with Portmore United so we might see some Jamaican players coming through in the future.
  18. @Johnny Ace It's just how I've always found it when managing in Wales. A half decent forward and a bit of luck can land you a league title, or the cup which is Conference League qualification isn't it? @WhiteCat33 Looks like you're really starting to kick on and dominate now! The fans deserve it for being for patient with the club I suppose . @fries Good luck! I've not long finished catching up with your South Shields save, fingers crossed the next Patrick Walters is waiting in one of the next intakes.
  19. On the other side of that though, it means that any money worries will be fixed quite quickly when you make it up to the top end of the table! With some of the youngsters you've just got in I think that'll be fairly soon too. TNS don't seem to be dominating as they usually do in your save either.
  20. It's super demotivating but if it happens sometimes it's the best thing, hopefully you'd be able to bounce straight back up and the players will have another year of good performances under their belt. Part time training doesn't offer much in the way of development in my experience too unfortunately.
  21. @Traldon Looks like all you need is a bit of luck and you'll be making it into the top 3!! Some decent kids coming through too so hopefully that'll be your keeper problems solved. @Johnny Ace I tried a similar challenge in the Welsh leagues a few years ago and it's a real grind getting going. Luckily you only really need 2 or 3 half decent players to be able to give TNS a run for the league and get a little bit of money from the European qualifying rounds.
  22. Wiener Sport-Club 2029/30 Competitions Admiral Bundesliga - Fixtures (2nd screen) - We carried the form from the end of last season into this one winning our first 5 games. We continued to hold our own and were sat 3rd when the league split, meaning it was the Championship split for us this year, The wheels came off after the split and we only picked up 6 points from 30 available. Luckily our good first half of the season managed to keep us clear of dropping out of European places leaving us playing Europa Conference League football again next season, entering in the 3rd Qualifying round (I think) Austrian FA Cup - Fixtures - Second round exit UEFA Europa Conference League - Fixtures - Went about as well as could be expected really, just about scrapped through against Sligo before drawing Roma who didn't need to break a sweat to send us packing. Squad - Everyone was just sort of there this season, nothing exceptional. Only 2 regular players averaged over a 7.0 and even that was only by .02. One thing that I've seen this season which has me worried is that if Heimann doesn't score, we don't score. He ended our top scorer with 21 in all competitions, our next highest scorer had 4..... Key Players Florian Heimann (25 YP4) - Did the heavy lifting with goals this year again, feels like he's either going to score a hattrick or got a 6.0 every time he plays though. Hopefully with the team developing around him he can get a little more help next season. Róbert Svec (27YP10) - Came into the senior team due to an injury and has flourished, the numbers weren't really there for him this year but he's grown an incredible amount as a player over the season and I expect him to carry on. Youth Intake (2nd Screen) - I'm genuinely starting to think I've either broken something. Another intake with a huge number of elite talents! 10 this year, my favourite being Luis Morfoot (30YP3) just because he's English and hopefully I can get a big fee for him if he turns out to be as good as my staff think he could be. Transfers - Paul Daun (27YP2) - Not long after the season started he let me know he was considering his options and his contract only had 18 months left to run so it made sense to cash in. When I offered him out about a dozen teams were interested and after a bit of negotiating Galatasaray had the best bid, signing Duan for a deal worth up to £15m with a sell on clause too. Finances - The money from the Daun deal has done wonders for the bank balance. Looking to reinvest it into the facilities. Other - On the back of getting some money in I managed to get some upgrades to both the Training and Youth facilities. The initial upgrade to the Youth facilities were completed by the end of the season and the board were feeling helpful so they agreed to a second upgrade of the season. I'm hoping for more of the same from the squad next season, I'm targeting a top half finish again and I'll put a real focus on getting rid of the release clauses in a few contracts since they could come back to bite me now.
