  1. i’m not completely certain if it’s by design and intended that the concacaf champions cup competition has three separate entries in the database: id 1301417 - north american champions’ cup (ext) id 145510 - north american champions league id 51002641 - north american champions cup while i do understand that the competition had different regulations and schedule formats in its various iterations, the current concacaf champions cup is a direct successor of the previous champions’ cup and champions league competitions. i bring this up because the other premier continental club competitions have a single database entry each, albeit they have undergone profound structural and format changes during their history as well (see examples below): id 127286 - afc champions league id 127299 - caf champions league id 102415 - conmebol copa libertadores id 127285 - ofc champions league id 1301394 - uefa champions league
  2. You’re welcome - think of it as if clubs which won the Anglo-Scottish Cup - id 29052571 were listed as having won the UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League instead.
  3. For years, the game has been listing the defunct Inter-Cities Fairs Cup - no id as the precursor to the UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League - id 1301396 and thus titles won in the former competition count as UEFA titles. This is incorrect, as UEFA DOES NOT recognize these titles - both competitions were unrelated. As an example in-game, Dinamo - id 432 is listed as having won one UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League. This is incorrect, Dinamo has won one Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, see screenshot. The club’s profile on the official UEFA web site confirms that Dinamo has not won any UEFA titles: »UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets): None« https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/news/0253-0d7ed1f47791-366300e1379a-1000--club-facts-dinamo-zagreb/ Another example is Leeds United - id 671 - the game attributes them two UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League titles, which never happened - those were Inter-Cities Fairs Cup titles, see screenshot and thread. The club’s profile on the official UEFA web site confirms that Leeds United has not won any UEFA titles: »UEFA club competition honours (runners-up in brackets): None« https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/history/clubs/53361--leeds/ The Inter-Cities Fairs Cup has to be added as a separate, defunct competition like the Mitropa Cup - id 16031980. Titles should be attributed to the correct competition and not lumped together with the UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League. The affected clubs are: Barcelona - id 1708 - 3 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup titles / 1 final (runners-up) Leeds United - id 671 - 2 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup titles / 1 final (runners-up) Dinamo - id 432 - 1 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup title / 1 final (runners-up) Ferencváros - id 1055 -1 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup title / 1 final (runners-up) Valencia - id 1775 - 1 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup title / 1 final (runners-up) Real Zaragoza - 1749 - 1 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup title / 1 final (runners-up) Arsenal London - id 602 - 1 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup title Newcastle United - id 688 - 1 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup title Roma - id 1100 - 1 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup title The runners-ups were: Juventus Torino - id 1139 - 2 finals (runners-up) Birmingham City - id 609 - 2 finals (runners-up) Anderlecht - id 256 - 1 final (runners-up) Újpest - id 1064 - 1 final (runners-up)
  4. cheers. 👍 the original post was from october 25, 2022, the posts are clickable, i had posted in the german data issues thread. i had posted on may 21.
  5. krunoslav banovčić is one such case, dating back to 2022 and no response to the original poster when he raised the issue, or to me when i did the same - solve it. https://www.transfermarkt.com/krunoslav-banovcic/profil/trainer/117914
  6. looks as if in many cases sourced reports are ignored, i've found a few that date back years and haven't been addressed.
  7. no worries, there are many databases and information sites - say transfermarkt for instance - where it makes sense to add people and their personal information. thanks again.
  8. thanks for the explanation. so if somebody who is not affiliated with si or a researcher sources this information from them, it would be acceptable?
  9. the club’s website is not the best source, unfortunately -- they don’t have any further info on staff other than the title/position, and for some reason, there is no info on or pictures of the squad: https://www.torpedokutaisi.ge/ it looks like a blog draft with a website appearance … see steve kean for example: https://www.torpedokutaisi.ge/theplus_team_member/სტივ-კინი/ the best option would be to contact him or the club directly through their instagram profiles. there will likely be more reports from me as i search for personnel and player images online. XD
  10. forgot to add the club id - torpedo kutaisi (id 59025932)
  11. david dolaberidze, general director/ceo of torpedo kutaisi, is not included in the db. https://www.instagram.com/daviddola33/ https://www.torpedokutaisi.ge/theplus_team_member/დავითდოლაბერიძე/ https://www.macron.com/de/news/torpedo-kutaisi-joins-the-great-macron-family he is responsible for overseeing/greenlighting transfers and general contract signings. https://www.instagram.com/fctorpedokutaisi/
  12. krunoslav banovčić, fitness coach of the german senior national team, is not included in the db. https://www.dfb.de/maenner-nationalmannschaft/sportliche-leitung/ https://swisscovery.bfh.ch/discovery/fulldisplay?vid=41SLSP_BFH:VU1&tab=41SLSP_BFH_MyInst_and_CI&docid=alma99116764949005513&context=L&adaptor=Local Search Engine&query=creator, exact,Kindermann, Wilfried,AND&mode=advanced&offset=0 he has been with the national team since 2009, starting with the u-16 and u-17 teams, then winning the silver medal at the olympic games in 2016 and the european championship with the u-21 team in 2017. he has been the fitness coach for the senior side since 2019. https://www.dfb.de/maenner-nationalmannschaft/sportliche-leitung/krunoslav-banovcic/biografie/ this issue had been raised back in 2022, but seems to have been ignored:
  13. just one follow-up question: are the other two entries different players who were mistakenly assigned his name, or was he entered three times, and if yes, which id number will be retained? i ask because of player portrait / image. thanks in advance.
  14. lamine tounkara from senegal is listed three times in the database, with different birth dates. his ids are 2000337212 2000337213 2000337214 contracted club is qaisar qyzylorda (id 484474) from kazakhstan, he is part of the u-18 team (id 59107305).
  15. several data issues: his name in the database is incorrect: erman barushi the correct name is ermal barushi https://www.linkedin.com/in/ermal-barushi-8ba737219/ https://www.instagram.com/ermalbarushi/?hl=en he hasn’t been an official/referee for several years. he needs to be moved in a non_player position to dinamo city (id 2000288897), his last position was as general director @ dinamo tirana, he now holds a position as director at the renamed dinamo city (see links above).
  16. most of the albanian referees included in the database have been retired for many years, while the active ones haven’t been included. seems that non-playable leagues are hardly updated. list of currently active referees: https://fshf.org/arbitrimi/#referees
  17. well, they were good enough to place ahead of germany and england in the last edition of the nations league but that »golden generation« comes once every few decades, if again at all.
  18. while it’s a great read, i’d probably keep the club and national team achievements separate. a compromise could be to expand a club’s history or background and mention key players past and present. bonus points for the correct spelling of the (ex-)yugoslav players.
  19. can you export all the competitions or would you also have to export them individually?
  20. roger milla is already added, i believe. weah, abedi pelé and drogba were some of those that i also considered mentioning, but it's one thing to bring up 20 players in a post and another to add them to the game with stats and individual profiles ... hence i restrained myself. 😂
  21. this is so good. africans are underrepresented, so here is one who should throne above the others: ghana’s anthony yeboah, a legend if there ever was one. of course, he should be affiliated with eintracht, just like his former team mate okocha. south korea: cha bum-kun, another eintracht legend and south korea’s best player, hands down. soviet union/ukraine: oleg blokhin, winner of the ballon d’or 1975 / igor belanov bulgaria: trifon ivanov, one of my personal heros, passed too soon / yordan letchkov / krasimir balakov serbia, czechia and slovakia etc. -- chances are, the size of this legends database could grow to match the regular one. also, valderrama but no higuita? i could go on and on, but you already have your hands full. awesome addition to the database!
  22. @Rob 396 a remark about the info text concerning the former first, second and third division in england. from what i understand, the former football league rebranded them as championship, league 1 and league 2 in 2004, but rebranded/renamed itself to the english football league only in 2016, so there never was an efl division 1, 2 or 3. https://web.archive.org/web/20160810201223/https://www.efl.com/news/article/2015/football-league-to-be-re-named-the-english-football-league-2798210.aspx
