I never played on the MLS because since the past 5 or 6 FMs i always read on this forums that the MLS simply doesn't work, has too many game breaking bugs. It's really a shame how they get the rights of the league, proceed to do something which looks like an correct modelling of the league, but then you go and see that it's deeply flawed, and it never gets fixed.
I mean i know the rules are so different from the other leagues so it must be difficult to represent it in the game, but it would be better to have an fake, working representation, than an real, bugged one. That's why if ever i play there, it will be using an mod which changes the format to be like the other leagues.
Also, all of this makes me wish that the Out of the Park team would make an football management game focusing on the MLS, how cool would that be?

Sadly the situation of many sport games, look at Fifa, game's been sh*t for years but EA doesn't care since it always sells like water.

No I've used it 2000hrs FM20 and 300hrs FM21 and the only effect is that it makes the game more challenging and realistic.
It's worth mentioning it will only make effect with the existing staff people on the game start, staff generated by the game will still be very weak and dumb.

Has anyone else noticed that long shots are now way more effective? Not complaining as they were a bit ineffective before! One of my CMs has tripled his last season (pre-patch) goal tally and we're only 4 matches in, and my other CM has equalled his. All long-range screamers, love it. Even my wing-backs are banging in the occasional goal from 30 yards.
Oh no, so it's FM 2020 all over again? It felt like most of the goals in 2020 were from long distance, one of the reasons i stopped playing it...

Okay, there's a bug, an issue, a KNOWN issue i might add. But could we just please keep this discussion as constructive as possible. Saying "this is a scam" or "a scandal" is undermining the hardwork SI have been and is doing right now. And also saying things like that doesn't help or contribute anything to the discussion.
This is still 21.1 version mind you. If it is anything like FM20, there will be like 3 big updates incoming. There's almost no game released bug free anyway.
SI has outperformed themselves this year by bringing an improved match engine, a thing that we always mocked about in FM19 and 20. Also i see someone says that "this covid update is unnecessary", well you know what they say about hindsight is 20/20? I bet if there was no covid in-game some of you would asking to adding covid impact to the game.
Just like the other game,there are positives, negatives, pros, cons, features, bugs, etc. Be patient, contributive, and don't be so toxic and arrogant.
I don't see anyone being toxic, unless there was an removed comment. I just see people who paid 50 dollars for a game expecting it to be playable, complaining in their right as a costumer.
Heck, 50 dollars is nothing compared to the money i gave SI with all the FMs i brought over the decade, the least i expect as a costumer is for them to release a game without such a massive bug.
No one should buy a game expecting to play it after months of patches and fixes. Scam may be a harsh word, but is there any mention of this bug in the description of the game on Steam? Is there any mention there that people buying right now should wait some months so that they can fix an ongoing massive bug?

The bug testing section of SI needs to really step their game up. How could they release the game with such an game breaking bug as this, and then proceed to release a patch that claims to fix it, yet it doesn't. This is unnaceptable, in my opinion.

Honestly, this would've been simply solved by having an option, want more realism? Disable the timeline, don't want? Keep it enabled. There is no way a developer as big as SI couldn't do something like this.

Does the tournaments in your file show up on the club's trophies won? I remember testing an Pre Season file in Fm 20, and they would make the trophies history kinda convoluted, i find it kinda unrealistic since IRL no one cares so much about winning those trophies, but i understand if this is an limitation of the editor and you can't change it

Lol xD, for me, in FM 19 and 20 specifically, every team was playing like an Premier League team, i hated this.

Guys, does lower league teams in this year FM play more like an lower league team? For the previous versions, i avoided playing lower league, because the players would just play like top players, making all sorts of curved long passes, scoring screamers every other match, and etc, so i would just play with top leagues so that the match would look more believable xD, but if this year those lower leagues are better represented in the ME i may do an LLM save. The last FM i tried to do one was FM 14, as i felt the lower league was quite decently represented in that game.

This is not a major problem, but, many players when you go to the history tab, it shows last year statistics for him, for example, Messi shows in the mod that he scored 36 goals in 34 games for Barcelona, which obviously didn't happen in the mod's timeframe
, is there a way to delete those left over statistics?

Whats the difference between this and starting the game and going on holiday till the year you desire? Is it faster this way?

Yeah, Central American leagues are nowhere to be seen despite being mentioned in the first post description.

Why, exacly? Most games on Steam offer option to roll back updates. Adding that option doesn't mean that SI would need to provide support to all patches, just that people who don't like the current one would be able to chose an previous one and play with it. Support would be only done to the current update.
