I have 8 super cups in my NCAA database for different division champs to play against each other. They’re all the same reputation. Is there a way I can just have 1 competition, some like “NCAA Bowl Games” listed on the competition reputation screen, but then that has all the separate competitions linked to it?

best way I can think of is to have a Competitions called "NCAA Bowl Games" and in the advanced Rule, give each SuperCup it's own stage.
In each Stage, you can pick the specific supercup using "other competition to use"

Not sure how that would work for Competition Histories. Would have to play around with a few options to get what you're looking for.

Stage 2 is the hidden stage? It can have everyone, doesn't matter as it doesn't actually show up. Then in the hidden stage, everyone plays everyone else using fixture plan rules under group settings. Then in the visible stage, under league settings use "get matches from other stage" and make sure "count fixtures" is checked (because you're getting all the results from only a partial amount of the teams)

Perfect. Thanks for that. I wanted to make sure it was possible before wasting my time beating my head off a brick wall to nowhere.

  3. So I'm experimenting with having Teams in different stages, but one of the stages hidden so that Only Stage 1 appears on the League Table. but i want Stage 1 to have fixtures between teams in Stage 1 and Stage 2.
Anyone know if this is possible, or do ye need me to add more details for what i'm trying to do?

    Stage 1 = 10 teams
    Stage 2 = 10 Teams.

All teams in Stage 1 and Stage 2 play each other once for a Season of 19 games; but only the Teams in Stage 1 are in the league table, but the league standings are for all 19 games.

The Republic of Ireland is an under developed location for Football Manager saves. The League both benefits and suffers from it's
proximity to the English game; being an open training group with no foreign player restrictions; but also a siphon for all the young
talent off the Island and into English academies. It's not unusual for a Republic of Ireland squad to not contain a single player playing
their domestic football here. Ireland can be more, oh so much more and this Database is for those who want to rise the reputation
of the Irish leagues and have the full structure there to play with.

As Faith-full as I can be, this will be a 1-to-1 recreation of the Republic of Ireland Football League structure going as low as my sanity permits me.
Domestic football in Ireland is broken into Two Categories: League and Non-League Football

League Football comprises the League of Ireland (Lv.1 and Lv.2)
Non-League comprises the Provincial Senior Leagues (Lv.3 - Lv.5) and the Junior District Leagues (Lv. 6 - Lv.13)

    • Sports Direct FAI Cup (League of Ireland + Provincial Senior Clubs)
    • EA Sports Cup (League of Ireland Cups)
    • Coca-Cola Intermediate Cup (Provincial Senior League Clubs)
    • Coca-Cola Junior Cup (Junior District League Clubs)
    • Munster Senior Cup (All Munster Clubs)
    • Munster Junior Cup (All Munster Junior District Cubs)
    • Leinster Senior Cup (All Leinster Clubs)
    • Leinster Junior Cup (All Leinster Junior District Cubs)

thats where i did it wrong...completely did the whole estonian league system perfectly apart from the futsal and beach divisions and did nation rules, ill port it to fm24 and itll be ****ed probably but sure look i can always redo the nation rules fairly easily

It should transfer fine, I ported my Ireland Re-imagined Series from FM22 to FM23 and that didn't have any issues.
I'm just choosing to put my time into expanding the database and doing rules in FM24 to make sure it runs fine since I've put too much time into it for it to crap out on me :P

Man thanks so much for adding my team, definitely will be editing myself onto it so I can really fall in love with this. Beyond excited. Just wondering will each team only have like one team ie a senior side or will each team have a reserve squad or an U21 side to help with squad numbers. If not that’s fine just can’t wait to play this. Best of luck with the rest of this will definitely be keeping an eye

Not a bother mate. It's slow progress since i had most of it done and lost it to a HDD failure so I've been slowly recreating it.

I'm trying to mirror the Irish league structure closely, and many of the intermediate, and Junior clubs have B and C teams littered lower down in their leagues so I'll be creating those where possible. I don't have plans for Underage football yet but might get the Database to create a generic U19s filtered by region just to provide some sort of youth football

Hope moving it from 23 to 24 pge wont be too much of a pain in the ass. at least we got a summer league so you wont have to change the teams in the leagues at least!

it shouldn't be; i can merge changes and it should come over just fine. I've deliberately just been expanding the Database and available teams so that I can have at least each Junior League Population (Lv6) with real Teams and create the Nation Rules on FM24 to make sure the Leagues run correctly.

This will be released during FM24 right? Looking forward to it's release :)

Aye, it will be. I've no release date as of yet but i'm working on it. moved House and got a new job - real life getting int he way of FM once again :P

Delighted to see this project back up, still dying to play it however my team Straide & Foxford United are nowhere to be seen in the mayo leagues so far yet i see B teams above them. Please tell me my club will be added at some level. All the best and lets hope the hard drive holds up

Good spot, I actually missed them because of how the tables were displayed on the league website - will add Glenhest Rovers and Straide & Foxford United

  10. This is a Quality of Life Update aimed to provide a more realistic game experience when managing in the Republic of Ireland.
    Ireland QOL Update.fmf
    Database Used: 23.4.0

    Number of Changed: 2990
    Stadiums Location Updated: 138
    Media Added: 13
    Cities Added: 39

Added cities to all active Clubs in Rep of Ireland, set Latitude and Longitude for Cities and Stadiums that don't have any. Locations of Stadiums matched with Google Maps to be as close as possible to real life.

Created New Cities to give local clubs a more personalized location rather than relying on generic regional city names

Added Irish Specific Media (RTÉ, Virgin Media, Off the Ball, ect.) to give a more familiar feel to press conferences.

Most of the Irish active clubs beneath the League of Ireland have 0s for Attendance, and Facilities.
Randomized attendance between 80 and 300 for clubs without attendances.
Randomized facilities between 2-8 for clubs without facilities

This is part of my Republic of Ireland Overhaul Database where I recreate the Irish football structure down to level 14. You can follow this project here:

This is not looked good.:( I guess that you might want to work on FM24 if you'll plan on buying a new desktop, so that you'll be starting over the scratch. Are any other Irish football league databases aside from this if I'm planning to use the extended leagues?

Other than that, hopefully, you'll plan on doing that database at any time soon.

I'm livid with myself since I work in IT and backups are commons sense 101 in my industry. I was between externals since my last one was full and i was just lazy about clearing space or getting a new one. I might come back to this project int he future but I working full time means it's a time investment trade-off.

Some further observations from deeper in the save:

I was wondering why the AI was going in hard on players I had recruited and constantly spamming me with offers, and it's because they are really struggling to recruit. Looking at Allianz Division 2 we have:

    • Tipperary: budget of 200k, spending 60k, 140k unspent
    • Mayo: Budget 151k, spending 76k, difference 75k
    • Tyrone: Budget 120k, spending 55k, difference 65k
    • Derry: Budget 78k, spending 35k, difference 43k
    • ARmagh: Budget 171k, spending 70k difference 100k
    • Kildare: Budget 110k, spending 60k, difference 50k
    • Offlay: Budget 157k, spending 53k, difference 104k
    • Cork: 156k, spending 51k, different 105k

All figures in pounds per week. My budget is 129k a week! You can see the average team could afford to double their wage spending.

The situation is actually worse in Division 1, where Dublin, Kerry and Galway have 150k to spare each, with Kerry having an incredible 233k a week unspent. This would make sense if they were dominating, but Kerry is rusted to the bottom of the table having 2 points with 6 games to go. My league dominance is explained by the one weird of trick of 'spending money on players'

I'm not totally sure how to fix it, but it's kind of a pervasive problem. I obviously need to get better at flogging my players to these guys on loan deals.

Something you could do is add new board promises to buy new players, or have the club objectives to be sign high profile players, or sign high profile players from other countries?

Anything to get them active in the transfer market outisde of Ireland would make a difference.

    Relatedly, changing this:

Would help A LOT. Similarly, the contient preferences were changed maybe they would go after players without me having to run very silly 'trial farms' where I trial tons of players to try and get other clubs to go after them when I release them.

Will see what I can do.
Cheers for the feedback as always.
I'll post a changelog and tell me what you think

  15. These graphs show that substitution appearances do result in growth in CA per season. Starts give a 5%-7% increase over substitution (45th minute) appearances so I wouldn't agree with the assessment that substitution appearances don't help development.

What it also suggests is that between the ages of 15-18, the majority of the CA growth comes not form game time at all since the difference between no appearances and sub appearances is +/-5%; so I think this suggest that the CA development comes from training and that match appearances essentially act as a top up. It's once they hit 19 that game time starts mattering more than training so players (in this database) have a 3 year window with the Youth Squad until they are 21 to generate decent match ratings to continue their development before they either make it into the senior team or get released.
