@Zachary Whyte Thank you for the response. Very dissapointing news. I guess I'll have to find another team to manage on 23... I understand its a very niche issue, but it's still quite unacceptable it has not been fixed in the whole of this game cycle. Hopefully it is not an issue in future games for players sake who want to take on Oldham.

Please I have been waiting for a fix for this for a week now and there is still not even a reply. It is very frustrating. I paid 40 quid for this game and this is surely an easy fix. I don't have the editor, I shouldn't have to pay extra money to fix something that should be working in the first place @Zachary Whyte

Still not fixed, just started a save with Oldham and I have the exact same problem. 6 months ago this was flagged. Ridiculous. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

This problem is so common in FM. Every time I have a team meeting I get a mini panic attack because of the possibility of things like this. Pathetic how its still in the game. Its not a bug either, it's coded in this way, happens in every save for everybody.

Yeah true, its a sad reality.

No its not SIs fault that they have no competition, but it's certainly their fault that FM23 is in the state its in. If they really cared as much as they say they do about the community they would put more effort into updating the game more, not release the FULL game as a BETA for a month, would communicate alot more with the community, and would have a better plan for development and not give us underwhelming half done features that dont even work properly every year. Having no competition is not an excuse if you really take yourselves seriously. SI aren't some indie studio, they are a triple A sized developer.

I'm sorry but that last bit of this post. What competition exactly? There is no competition, that's the reason why SI can get away with such lacklustre development across the board and people will still buy the game regardless. There is only one management simulation that's not a mobile/tablet version thats up to any sort of standard rn.

Does anybody have an idea of when the winter patch for FM23 is going to be released, or at least a time frame of when it might be out? Want to start a new save but waiting on the updates etc

Just because you love playing something doesn't mean it can't be criticised you melon. This game needs to be held to a higher standard. It annoys me because I know how much better the game could work/be if these problems with development (ME, UI etc) didn't exist. Alot of people won't criticise this game enough or at all because it's their favourite one or are on SIs good books, I will because it's what's right. This release is way below the standard and is incredibly ill prepared. Getting a Beta 2.0 on release is ridiculous. And this is an SI direct feedback thread, where else do you want me to post my thoughts? Do you want me to mail them to Miles' door or email them straight to him?

Well, this is the worst release of an FM game I've ever experienced. What other game or dev team gets away with this? No changes to ME at all (with all the bugs present besides a GK animation) , all the feedback you have got over the last 2 WEEKS and we have to wait until before CHRISTMAS before it's fixed. Might never pre order again as my trust is lost. I preordered to play the beta and then the full game, not to play a slightly updated beta. How about be prepared to release the full game at the release date and not give us the Beta 2.0? Also lots of DB changes that were incorrect are still present so I have no idea what is going on there, not much it seems... Years of lacklustre development on the ME and the game as a whole have caught up to SI and this is a breaking point for sure. Very poor, I'd be embarrassed if I was part of the dev team for this years game... I'll still play this game because I love it and always will, but the excitement and hype for the release is completely gone, maybe I won't get so upbeat about it in the future.

I said yes because I'm using it but it's only to look at squad depth and shortlist players I might buy at some stage. It's really a glorified squad depth chart with a shortlist button. Absolutely should not be a headline feature, barely even a feature tbh.

I've seen that bug before here, it's definitely not just you mate. Hopefully they fix it soon cos it's an awful hinderance to a save.
