  1. For an experiment, I want to have a league with two rounds like normal, for example, lets say the Premier League, home and away, but I want one of those clubs to play all 38 games at home, and not play any games away, but for the other 19 teams to play home and away as normal (except when they have to play that one team, where they'll be away both times). Can this be done, and if so, how?
  2. Gibraltar and Japan are instead listed in Other Nations, despite the fact that they're both playable nations in FM24, meaning that you cannot edit the Nation Rules of those two nations.
  3. There's no option for Corners, Free Kicks and Throw-Ins to manually add players to "Aerial Threats", "Box Threats", "Box Threats", "Creators", "Recovery Defenders", if they're not in the list. For example, say I have a goalkeeper with height or good jumping reach, there's no option to add him to the lists, despite understanding why he wouldn't be added by default. The player should be able to still add such a player, if they wanted to create an overload in the box to force a result sooner, other than the GK naturally coming up late into games.
  4. I've decided to branch this off as its own Bug Report, from an erroneous Bug Report from somebody else, where they thought it was a bug that their player only took the first penalty. This might not explicitly be a bug in itself, but the result of this is experienced as a bug by the average user. The two checkboxes on the Penalties Page of Set Pieces I've highlighted in the image ("Change taker if player has already taken a penalty"; "Change taker if player has already missed a penalty"), should not be selected by default, and should be left up to the player as to whether they select it. Real-World Clubs normally have a dedicated penalty taker that takes a penalty when they're on the pitch, so it absolutely makes complete sense to me why the user in the linked Bug Report above felt like this was a bug, it would be my feeling if I experienced too. The average user would want their best penalty taker stepping up if they've already taken one, this is why "Change taker if player has already taken a penalty" shouldn't be selected by default. The reason I feel that "Change taker if player has already missed a penalty" shouldn't be selected by default, is because I feel, if you don't have a reliable, consistent second-choice taker, especially in a lower league, you're more at risk of having a penalty missed or saved. Not a bug in itself, but the effect of it, might be perceived as one, by people expecting their First Choice Taker to have a go again.
  5. That functionality isn't a bug, but the fact that "change taker if player has already taken a penalty" and "change taker if player has already missed a penalty" is being selected by default is a bug. It should be up to the player to enable those, right? Instead of those being selected by default. There's no real reason that you'd want, by default, your best penalty taker to only take the first penalty, you want them being first choice for every penalty, and with the one of them missing, what if there is no other good choice?
  6. Putting this here, as it seems like a Technical issue (an issue behind the scenes, rather than an obvious bug): Let's say that I use an EDT file to force a club to be in a Transfer Embargo / Transfer Ban for 100 Years. If a club has a takeover during that period, when the takeover finishes regardless of whether it is successful, the game takes the club out of the embargo it thinks it placed the club in for the takeover, the one that was already previously in place, meaning that the takeover overrides the Transfer Embargo already in place and the club ends up not in a Transfer Embargo whatsoever.
  7. I'm going to class this as a Technical issue, because I don't know where else this fits. I reported this last year, but I don't know if it was too late in the cycle to do anything about it. I've only tested this on Yearly and Monthly, but I'd assume its also a case with any amount of time, where a Leap Year Day falls between the Last Save Date and the Target Date. As an example, lets say that I want the game to save every year on June 10th, so most European Competitions are complete, and the UCL, UEL and UECL haven't reset yet. If my last Save Date was June 10th but between that date and June 10th in the next year, there's a Leap Day, Feb 29th, on Yearly, as an example, it seems to count 365 days, but doesn't factor in the Leap Day, so the save happens on June 9th and that becomes the new Target Date for saving. I was running an experiment where I had to go about 50 years on the future, and my Regular Save Date of June 10th, has slipped to, I think, May 31st, or a date close to that. If the Save System does Auto Saves by counting days, the simplest way to fix this might be to write code that doesn't increment that counter if the In Game Date comes back as February 29th.
  8. Will San Diego FC be implemented as a future MLS expansion team, having been award a spot by the MLS from the 2025 season, on May 18th, 2023, and recently announced crests and such? Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Diego_FC https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/san-diego-fc-mls-expansion-team-unveil-name-crest-brand-identity https://theathletic.com/4978739/2023/10/19/san-diego-fc-logo-mls/
  9. It's a big shame, and IMO a bad decision, because that would have been a big challenge for people wanting one in FM. Since Hound Dogs qualify for European Competitions, but only through the Rock Cup. Just feels like any real challenge presented to the FM users is slowly being stripped away, or not implemented, like the fact that the San Marino Challenge has been a thing forever but there isn't an official league for it.
  10. I've underlined the issue: "the target he was target", sounds grammatically incorrect, wouldn't "he was set" make more sense?!
  11. I'll try to find some examples to upload in the next few days. I understand that Swap Deals are rare, but if a deal is accepted by the club, they're still often collapsed, as if they're capped at the wage the club is coming my way. Say I had a top player on £250K p/w, and I went after a player from Liverpool on £125K p/w, and I agree a deal, the deal collapses, because they're unwilling to put the wage forwards on a player that they're clearly interested in (because they've accepted the deal). It should be based on how the club rates the player in the deal, not capped at the wage of the player they're losing.
  12. Yeah, I agree. My opinion is that neither should be selected by default. Because sometimes you don't have an acceptable 2nd choice and have signed a player specifically for Pens / Set Pieces.
  13. Would it be possible for SI to add an Agreement Change to Scotland's Nation Rules, where every season there's a 1% chance of Scotland joining the European Union? With how ongoing talks of requesting another referendum are, I don't think it would be speculative to make it so sometime (most likely) MANY seasons in, this becomes the case, especially seeing how many different Brexit options were presented and they were mostly speculative, including one where the UK decided not to leave. I think having a 1% chance every season would be the most reasonable option, because it's very unknown when such a change would come into effect, it could be six seasons in, it could be sixty seasons in, it could be never (depending how long somebody plays for).
  14. I was hoping the Smarter Transfer thing would fix this; This has been a long standing issue for about five or six editions of the game, to do with deals that involve player swaps, where you'd include a player as an add-on, a bonus, in a cash deal, but they'd collapse the deal, despite being able to go to a bigger club and wanting to leave. This has been made worse in FM24, I've not had a single Player Swap work at multiple clubs I've tried, and what's worse, I've seen a huge upturn in clubs rejecting acceptable offers with another player in, which I think its unrealistic. I don't understand how you've made Player Swaps worse, and not better with "Smarter" Transfers. Something I hoped to be a good way for rebuilds to still be viable with the changes, has been made worse. One of the worst ones is when I offered to buy one of Real Madrid's players (Dani Carvajal), and added Rico Lewis into the deal as Man City. They flat out rejected an offer of £17.5M, which was slightly above their asking price range, and their player fell out with the club because of it.
  15. Make sure that this isn't selected in your Tactics >> Penalties Page. I'd argue that that and the third option on that list should be DISABLED by default, because people are going to think something is wrong if their designated and only penalty taker takes a penalty and then it gets given to a random player, or he doesn't step up again if he missed one and there's no other credible option.
  16. Why is the Gibraltar Intermediate League unplayable? The competition is not fully a youth / reserve league, Hound Dogs FC (should be) a playable club, since they're a fully fledged team which has decided to play in that competition?
  17. Would it be possible for Trent to be improved from "Competent" at Midfielder (Centre) to "Accomplished", and from "Unconvincing" at Defender (Left) to "Competent"? Alexander-Arnold is already accomplished at DM in the game, with his new role in the England Set-Up, it would make sense for him also to be so in CM. It makes no sense for a defensive player like Alexander-Arnold to be Competent at WBL, but Unconvincing at LB. That is my reasoning.
  18. I'm still confused why the San Marino league isn't included in the game, even unlicensed (although licensing it would probably be incredibly cheap), seeing as so many people regularly do a "San Marino Challenge" in FM. Having an official database would make that more viable.
  19. @Jimmy Wong I have a question about the 'Smarter Transfers', hopefully you or another of the SI team can answer? Is the Smarter Transfers also going to fix the long-running issue with the AI in transfer negotiations, where say to reduce the wage bill or trim the squad, you offer the player as a player swap in a another deal. Say I'm PSG, and I want to offload an 'unsellable' or surplus to requirements player such as Colin Dagba (who's on around £20K p/w), the logical thing would be to add him into a cash transfer deal for another player, as a bonus of sorts for that club: They're getting an extra player who will be profitable for them, for free. The issue is that 8 out of 10 times, the deal collapses even if the players are on similar wages or the player arriving is on more wages. That's something I think needs fixing. If a club sees promise in a player they're being given, they're going to offer him a fair wage, and not field an unsuitable offer.
  20. Some clubs like Athletic Bilbao, can only players from the Basque region of Spain, and C.D. Guadalajara, known more widely as Chivas, can only sign Mexican Players. I want the ability in the PGE to set that for any club. So say I make a new club in England, I want the option to go in and set it so they can only sign players from South West England, or if I make a new club in say Ireland, I want them to be able to only sign Irish Players. Something as basic as that should not be hidden functionality, as it currently is.
  21. Luton Town - Source: https://www.lutontown.co.uk/news/2023/may/imagine-the-power/ For FM24, will the Power Court Stadium's capacity be increased from 17,500 to 23,500? Ideally, the Expansion Capacity should also be increased from 21,000, to 32,000, since Expansion Capacity is the ceiling of expansion, and not added to the current capacity. From the source link: "The images shown represent Power Court Stadium in its first phase of development at a capacity of 19,500, which will include around a third as safe-standing. A second phase will see another 4,000 seats or standing seats added, which can be developed as demand dictates without too much disruptive upheaval".
  22. I've noticed an issue with Auto Saves when using Yearly, this might also affect other options too. The game does not counteract Leap Years, in trying to keep to the original date; Each time a year has passed, if a Leap Year has happened, it seems to add 365 days to the save date still, which means that slowly the yearly save date is slipping back by one. Over a 80 year period, this totalled around 4-6 weeks from the original start date. I know this won't be fixed for FM23, but hopefully it can be for FM24.
  23. I've noticed a specific issue for people using Wednesday and Saturday Matchdays in FM. According to the Pre-Game Editor: The FA Cup Final is meant to be played on a date based on 26th May 2001, a Saturday; The FA Trophy Final is meant to be played on a date based on 27th May 2001, a Sunday. With Wednesday and Saturday Matchdays selected, this makes both the FA Cup and the FA Trophy Finals be played on the same day, at the same time, which kind of unintentionally breaks things from an immersion point of view. Would it not be more practical to use the date format used during the 2021-22 season, where the FA Cup is played earlier, on the Saturday in the week previous? With Wednesday and Saturday Matchdays, that'd then be adjusted to being both on Saturdays, but not on the same day.
  24. Something else that backs up the examples that the UK Ancestry Visa can be used for sports work is that on https://www.gov.uk/ancestry-visa, it simply lists 'Work' as something that they can do, but explicitly lists 'work, except as a sportsperson or coach' as something their partner or child cannot do on https://www.gov.uk/ancestry-visa/your-partner-and-children while registered under that visa.
