  1. April 2048 Brian Bell gets 4 in two league games to fly through the gears - 94* The hat-trick was against the side second in the table so feels like a double win. It puts us 11 clear with 6 to play. In the Cup Semi Final, away to a 2nd tier side, we play a front 5 of nations we are yet to tick off. Our Tunisian Centre Back scores 4 goals, but he is outdone by Bruce Bynoe who is an academy graduate from Suriname with 3 assists. #103
  2. March 2048 Victory over PR Sol puts us 3 points clear, and 7 unbeaten. The cup was a chance to get a nation ticked off, but nothing happened until Extra Time before Brian Bell got back into scoring mode - he's moved onto 90. 10 more games left. He needs a few decent games to hit it this season. A 2nd league win ends the month domestically. Sevilla have fallen away so we now look comfortable. On the international front, we start our next AFCON qualification cycle. Two relatively simple games, and two new additions to the squad - neither are that "hot" right now. Denis Kisekka is an 18-year-old Left Back/Centre Back who is included as we have a couple of injuries, and Yakubu Anaku is a 16-year-old Right Winger/Striker who has 5* potential and is at one of the bigger clubs - he might become something. 7 of our squad is 30 or over, there is nothing much coming through. The hattrick for Andrew Ssenyondo puts him back on top of the scoring charts. He has 38, Davis Sentamu has 36. They are both 30, so will probably interchange the trophy for a couple of years. Injuries meant we called up Joshua Kisekka and he made his debut against Sudan. At 24 he's come late to my plans but he's had an alright season domestically. He get's a 6.0 as we are well and truly FM'ed. It turns out Sudan beat South Africa as well.
  3. February 2048 Ricardo Salvatierra has been a little quiet this season, for a player of his ability - a treble at 3rd placed Ballista wakes everyone up. Bell gets his goal too. 2 league games, and 2 league wins but everyone is focused on the NACL. A trip to Mexico. A certain defeat, but hopefully some cash out of it. Our new Honduran scored, but it's a heavy defeat. And there is still the away leg to go. It's a record attendance as well. 500k taken across the two legs. All of a sudden the bank balance looks good again.
  4. January 2048 3 more for Brian Bell. 88 - could the century be on this season? 13 more league games, at least 3 more cup games. I think it could be on. A potentially huge match against Seville goes our way thanks to Frankie Parker getting a double We are now at the part of the season where games become sporadic. Or the bit in the season where I start to get a little bored.
  5. December 2047 A league defeat. Holy Hell. Not seen that for a while. Brian Bell returns things to normality and we go top of the table. This is almost disaster territory - a 2nd defeat in the month. There is 3 points between 6th and top - victory over Metropolitan puts us back at the summit. Brian Bell continues to find the back of the net - he's now onto 85 with the club. Seville win a game in hand and despite us ending the month with back to back victories we sit 2nd as we enter 2048,
  6. November 2047 PR Sol is where the 2047/48 season commences, Christian Davis gets the only goal and we are off. A massive home win against Mount Pleasant, with Brian Bell getting a double, we've let them in a bit with two late goals. Argentina gets ticked off, but it's our first points dropped since the season before last. Ricardo Salvatierra get's his first for the club, 102nd nation achieved. Aruba gets a double in the first 8 minutes and I'm thinking it's another nation down, but alas the rest of the side take over and it's an around star showing from all. We've made it out of our region for the NACL for the first time. Getting past Mount Pleasant was a Pleasant experience, or not a Mount too far? Which bad pun, Choose for yourself. CF América in the next round... GULP... On the international front we had Liberia for a World Cup Qualifier - a double header (two games) The press called for a demolition job. And they got it. 8 of the best. Complete rotation for the 2nd leg. A debut for Ronald Ntege in nets. This explains the result. We await the group stages with quiet expectation. There should be no problems qualifying from that group.
  7. October 2047 There is ALWAYS Guatemala Javier Garcia gets a goal, and the MoTM accolades and we end our NACL group campaign with victory. Time will tell if it's enough. 101st nation ticked off. We sit back and wait for the final game at the end of the month. I've also signed an Argentinian striker - it takes us over the 5 Foreigners but he's worth it. He's too good for us domestically so should tick that nation off sharpish. Thanks to the victory over Portmore, we top the group. We face Mount Pleasant in the Play-Off - they knocked us out last year. We have an international match for Uganda. Ronald Ntege is an 18 year old keeper who is here for experience. Geoffrey Matovu is 17 and a striker. They are both very highly rated. Matovu made his debut in a comfortable victory
  8. September 2047 I would like to thank the board for selling one of my best young talents to one of our rivals and ignoring my protests. The resign button looked tempting. A couple of days on the island of Trinidad and Tobago helped settle me down. We have to beat Portmore United in our final game, and hope that they draw in the final match - they play each other. Oh and hope that Cibao lose to Caledonia
  9. August 2047 So what are we doing here? I made a promise when I started in Puerto Rico to not apply for other jobs - so I can't... I physically can't - no domestic jobs appear in the usual screen. So I have to manually check up on the countries that interest me. To win the North American Champions League, I need to be in a professional league - Canada is 100% professional and my preferred location, but jobs are like hen's teeth. Panama is a slightly larger league but again, completely professional. Jobs are very much at a premium. Cuba is also loaded but I don't think it's the right place for the challenge. Maybe as a short-term thing. Puerto Rico is home for now. But not a domestic challenge. I have four short-term objectives Brian Bell - has 73 goals for me in this save, I want to get him to 100 - he's 31 and fading but should get goals still. I have 5 Fgn Slots - I want to use these to continue to tick off nations. Tunisia Guatemala Iraq - ticked off last season but the player is good enough to help us in the Champions League quest Montenegro - I'll be honest, he looked better when we scouted him, but he's non-contract so hopefully it's a quick in and out and move him on Aruba - should be good enough to tick it off fairly sharpishly. He won't join until September. Become a Club Legend - I am currently only seen as Favoured Personel, despite winning 4 straight league titles and 2 cups. It's a tough crowd Win the Champions League - we won't do it here. But it's on the pad. Hopefully, in a couple of seasons, Brian Bell will have his 100, we will be a Legend, and we will have ticked off another 10 or so nations. Then we can get on a plane to either Panama or Canada. Simples. But enough of that. Let's get into the action. We were without the Montenegran or the Aruban as they were signed too late to be registered. Christian Davis got a couple but it's a bad defeat in the Dominican Republic. In the same month, but the "new" season, same old Brian Bell. A nice treble to start him off. 76*
  10. 2026 Review - Season Three Transfers | Results 1 | Results 2 | Squad 1 | Squad 2 | Table 3 players naturally get into our Best XI from the 25 generation—only 1 from 24. We haven't lost anyone so this suggests we are stronger - Mohd Shahrul Aizad Zukufli (RM) and Mohd Faisal Mohd Rosli (FB) have both retired. Both were due to be backups. Striker Ahmad Fauzi Rozlan has moved on and Centre Half Nazrul Rahim didn't get a professional deal. Rozlan is probably the only one that we will miss - he didn't score many but was a decent sub-option Soh Jeremy 24A - hattrick on opening day, away at the side 1-91 to win the league. Freak Result? Time will tell Soh Jeremy 24A is attracting the Super League scouts, but he is tied down (contractually) for another 2 years. Which means we can turn down poor bids for our star. We were fantastic at taking leads, but once the opposition scored we struggled to contain it. Late goals are our weakness We had some brilliant wins 5 over Penang and SAINS, and then Bukit Tambun had only won 2 games before they were all but relegated - both against us though. In July, against WTS, was the first time we had gone behind, and came out on top, it was also the first time we had tried a tactical change. 4-2-4 - getting the wingers further up the pitch seemed to do something good. A horrible run towards the end of the season where we faced 1st, 2nd and the 3rd left us 3 points clear of relegation and the end of the save, before a HUGE game away at Malaysian University - directly below us in the table. Victory and defeat for Harini put us 6 points clear of them with 2 games to play. And with a slightly better goal difference. We were not safe yet, but victory in the next one secured it for another year. How can you win your first TWO games of the season 5-0 and still only stay up right at the end of the campaign!! Far too many defeats. We won more games but lost a lot more. We scored fewer goals but also conceded fewer goals. When we were good we were fantastic, when we were not good, it was a horror show. Right at the end of the campaign, the Youth Recruitment was increased to BASIC - our first-ever improvement. Star of the show and saviour was Nur Aliff Farhan Norasma but as he is an existing player, we wont say more than Thanks for the 24 goals. We wouldn't have stayed up without you. In terms of newgens, Soh Jeremy 24A got 10 which is great, but when you consider he had 5 after 2 games - it's less impressive. It's also 9 goals less than last year. Muhd Firdaus Mohd Nasir 25E was a regular on the right hand side of midfield, he did fine, especially as it was his first season with the club. Other regulars were Right Back Kamaruddin Norasikin 25C and Muhd Ridzuan Abdul Wahab 25F Intake Elite | Top Our best player is Tadley Kessell 26A - a village from Cornwall - but we cannot register him, because he is English, and the league dictates we cannot register any foreigners. He'll get dual nationality in 5 years. But there is no registration in this league, so we can and did indeed play him in the season's final game. Confused. I think as we never submit a registration list, we should be okay. I've also been a lot more selective in who I've signed. None that go immediately into the starting squad but there might be a squad player in the future in their. There kind of needs to be now. The Story So Far
  11. July 2047 Benin beaten. The only frustration was main right back Enock Shakil getting sent off. Ivory Coast are a completely different animal. Eeek! Dramane Fofana up front - a legend of my Angolan time. We kept Fofana quiet, we keep them all quiet, and we progressed We face Tanzania, who are similar in standard to us, but they did knock out Angola. South Africa and Algeria have both left the competition. Only 1 from Ghana, Tunisia or Egypt will get through and either Morocco or Nigeria will go out. 4 key players were suspended. Tanzania was going to come down to 1 piece of magic, and that was provided by Andrew Ssenyondo. That was his 33rd goal for his nation. So the record has changed again! I'm not sure if we have the best draw or if that really matters at the Semi-Final stage. You'd bet on any of them beating us. Egypt will be too strong? Yep. Massively so, although 2 of their goals come in injury time Beaten but proud. Which meant we had a third-place play-off to focus on 3rd is a trophy in my eyes! Achievements wise. We are 7 places away from equaling our best every place. And 9 away from improving the nation by 50. Ssemujju is nearly half way to 50 caps, but he is 30 so might not have enough time. Whilst this was all going on... we had the domestic cup... And we signed an Iraqi international for it. He scored the winner and got the MoTM award. Our 100th nation. Well done Hussein Ahmed Africa continues to drive me insane. Our Tunisian did well but never quite enough. Slow progress is being made with North America.
  12. June 2047 Internationals take front and centre as it's AFCON time. This is the 23-man squad that will do battle. Edrisa Wadada is on 96 caps and might make 100 before he retires. A lovely morale-boosting win over the Seychelles which saw Davis Sentamu become Uganda's all-time top scorer. His 32nd goal. Algeria might prove sterner test. "might". Lol. The best 90 minutes of my 51-game tenure. A 2-0 win. Sensational. Cat well and truly amongst the pigeons. South Africa didn't allow us a sniff, but we are still well-placed going into the Benin game. Algeria have to get something out of South Africa. Even if they do, 2 wins from 3 should be enough to get us through in 3rd place. Domestically, a 100% season is completed. I managed 3 in Angola, but they all had draws. This is my first 100% wins.
  13. May 2047 Two early goals and we were through in the Cup. We've got a Final ahead folks. I got excited when Duhaney Miller got the MoTM award for his double penalty against Sevilla - then checked my notes and saw that Jamaica is already ticked off... I have no idea why I signed him if the country has already gone! One more league game. In the AFCON 2047 draw, it's a tough one 3rd normally gets you through.
  14. April 2047 Brian Bell is in the form of his life. A hat-trick against Metropolitan AND a hat-trick against Ballista. Magic. He's racing towards 100. I mean he probably won't reach it as he is past 30 but it's the hope... He has 74 for me now.
  15. March 2047 After a bit of a break doing Youth Academy Challenges (that will continue), I'm in the mood for transfers. But first, let's win a trophy. Christian Davis grabs a hat trick and we win our 4th consecutive Puerto Rican League Title. Happy Days. Brian Bell is the difference as we beat the bottom side in the league. Nothing to play for domestically until the Cup Semi in May. Focus turns to trying and getting a nation or two ticked off. At the back end of the month, we had some very routine AFCON Qualifiers. The squad were told to go nuts. Very Attacking Mentality, and to just go out and enjoy them. They did. The defeat to Zambia was the only blot on our copy book
  16. 2025 Review - Season 2 Transfers | Results 1 | Results 2| Squad | Squad 2| Table An extremely mixed campaign - we started well, but couldn't seem to win many. I was hopeful. It was good. Then we stopped winning and for a couple of months, draws were the best we could find. Thankfully we were always just a touch ahead of the bottom two, out of sight, just, but still in mind. A couple of wins late in the campaign got us over the magical 30-point mark and we were safe for another year. Nowhere near promotion at any point. I was hoping for a little better, but it's still extremely early days. 8th overall. Let's talk successes. Soh Jeremey 24A, 2 goals on his debut, he never really looked back. Ended with 19 goals in his first season, top scorer for the club, and his 16 league goals put him 4th in the overall charts. He has a contract for 1 year, plus a year extension. We shall need his goals. Due to retirement, Khairul Sani 24I played a lot of football, possibly too many but we didn't have many alternatives. He did okay, but we did concede plenty across the season. Mohd Nazrin Redzuan 24K got in due to injury and started very well. I got excited but then he conceded 13 in 3 games and it went a bit south. All of the 24s saw some action. It wasn't always good but it was enough to stay up. The Cup saw the furthest round reached, and we hosted the mighty Selangor in the 2nd Round - surely that's a game where fans flock to the ground and the 3,000 capacity stadium bulges right? No. 289 bothered to show up and watch the eventual champions of the competition beat us 1-0. We are 5k better off than this time last year, but it's still not a good enough picture to get any improvements or even a coaching badge Intake Elite | Top | Good I've signed them all. Not because they are fantastic, just to give me as many options as I can next season. We have 1 definitely going on a free, and 1 retiring so at least 2 players will leave. We might need to think about a change of formation as we have a host of AMCs in the intake. Our best two coming through are both AMCs - Abdul Razak Basir 25D and Krishnan Arasu 25B, as well as a Right Winger - Muhd Firdaus Mohd Nasir 25E - as well as making a mockery of my scaling - I do it when they first arrive and before they sign deals... they also encourage a 4-2-3-1 formation. We tried it on the last game of the season and got beat 4-2. The Story So Far...
  17. Yeah, i think the leagues in most countries will be minimal points. Can't quite remember what Fiji was but it wasn't brilliant. The best thing about Fiji was 3 cup competitions every year against the same 10 teams
  18. Great start. I think in Oceania with Ba (Fiji) i won 3 Cl's and 12 other trophies and was still miles behind the Auckland City guy.
  19. Yayasan Pahang Maintenance FC - Season 1 - 2024 Season Review Table | Results | Results Pt2| Squad | Transfers Honestly, the minimal requirement was that my opening line wasn't talking about getting sacked during the season. We have overperformed on this and I am slightly surprised. We started with a basic 4-4-2, simply because it's a formation I understand - very basic at the back, straight lines in midfield and two up top. Very 1990s. My type of Football. This got us our first league win, and through a cup round but it was very much getting lucky rather than playing well. The biggest problem was in the centre of the pitch. We had Muhd Badrul Amin Jesmi, who is more a DM, and a collection of full-backs training to be his partner. Effectively everybody was a defensive-minded midfielder, so why not drop them back and make them both DM's? It worked. June was unbeaten, we were even briefly in the promotion slots, and through the rest of the season we picked up enough points to be close enough to the top to keep things interesting, and far enough from the bottom for things to get interesting. Even going into the season's last match, we had a mathematical chance of promotion. Our not-so-secret weapons were the twin strikers - Nur Aliff Farhan Norasma and Mohd Azammuddin Mohd Akil Intake Elite | Top I think I've got 2 who are going to feature heavily next season. Soh Jeremy 24A is a striker that excites me a great deal. 16 finishing, one of my strikers last season is 39 so it's out with the old and in with the new. Good technique, and good determination. He'll do well. Ishak Anuar 24B has played, becoming our youngest-ever player in the process. He's a left-back. It's good enough to be the second choice already. I let 3 go after their trials. I'm going to try and bed them in gently. I've made mistakes in the past where I've gone too deep too quickly and lived to regret it. I now have enough players to fill the bench every week, something I never did this season. Summary Happy with the first season, but worried about our ability to progress. The finances at the club are "not great" and there is little chance to improve things. There doesn't appear to be any prize money for this league and the cup only gives prize money to the winner. Something we ain't going to do for a while. We should be good enough to have a steady year next year, and we were close to the top 2, maybe with a bit more depth, we can get into the mix. The Story So far...
  20. I've been lurking long enough. And as my existing save file has corrupted, I think it's time to dive into an official attempt at this. I've done a few lighter versions - re-sign old players, take over a club established in a league and only use Youth Players, but never had the bravery to go all in. It's time to get wet. I'm in Malaysia I've holidayed until December 20th 2023 and there are two promoted sides - one who are expected to finish in the top half, and one in the lower half. I've gone for the weaker of the two. Less guilt if I fail then... Hoping the link to the manager profile works - I have nothing as per the rules. Manager Profile New to the Malaysian Division Three League are Yayasan Pahang Maintenance FC or YPM Squad on Day 1 - No real keeper, No Right Backs, 1 Centre Mid, Limited options on the right hand side of midfield
  21. August 2031 Into the unknown. Rhys Lavery wants huge money to stay, but if he keeps scoring winners, then he and his agent might be right. Not that we afford him. But that doesn't matter... I think the save file is broken. The FA Cup is stuck on last year. It should have started by now but there are no fixtures. I've created a save version and holidayed for 50 days and still no FA Cup generated. I've raised it as a bug, BUT it's an FM23 save file, a custom database and I don't have a save file before the season updated so I think we are completely toast.
  22. I have a horrible feeling that there is nothing that can be done as this was an FM23 file transfer, it's a custom database and I don't have the save file from before the season updated... however, in the small chance that there is something that can be done I moved a file over from FM23 and it was all going well until the start of the 2031/32 season when the English FA Cup has stopped. It finished with the final at the end of 2030/31 and I've reached the time when the Extra Prelim Rounds were supposed to start, the new campaign hasn't generated fixtures and it's still showing what I did in the previous campaign. I've created a new file and holidayed for a month, and the competition hasn't started. Let me know if you need more information, but I think the answer will be, sorry there is nothing we can do. I've uploaded the file - Fleckney Athletic - Youth Only
