  1. Just don’t get too excited for today folks. It’ll probably only be the release anouncement. Their last development update clearly stated: Firstly, we've had to shift the official announcement of FM25 to the end of September. The gameplay focus period will follow soon thereafter.
  2. From what i’m seeing here for the last weeks/months, you’re certainly not alone in doing so 😅
  3. If this would be the case… Sheesh I need to upgrade the laptop asap 😂
  4. I must admit it’s pretty funny reading the forums at this time of the year… A barrage of If’s, Maybe’s, Probably’s etc breaking loose. Discussions ignite where you see comments which come across as if wanting to persuade others of certain ideas or takes on things. Some reactions even pushing the boundaries of staying respectful and understanding to one another. Makes me wonder how those minds are kept at peace during the days. There’s also the option of just waiting it out and see whenever further info is being dropped by SI for us to read, which makes it possible to form opinions based on what is released so far, instead of the ever guessing and guessing what may or may not be the case? But I get it tho… I’m very curious myself as well 😋
  5. This looks great. Defo a step in the right direction
  6. I could care less about the whole graphical side for a game like fm. Always played 2d even… Also could care less if the ui is built in such a way that it takes me a couple more clicks to get to something. As long as the actual simulation part of the game is on point like match engine, squad building, player reactions/morale etc etc, I’m as happy as I can get. The power of fm, in my opinion, has never been about graphics, but about simulating the game world as close to irl as possible so we can have our universes unfold in their own unique way. Still love this game to bits, and i’m hoping it can improve to a level of pure satisfaction again.
  7. Many think Ajax played a 343. I’m lucky enough (and old enough unfortunately) to have seen that Ajax side play in the old stadium. But I was too young too understand anything about tactics. Ajax played a 343 IN POSSESSION. That’s where the dutch phrase “creating a man more in midfield” came from… The base tactic was a 4231 with a libero (either Rijkaard or Blind) moving up into midfield. Watch this clip where Kluivert himself corrects the setup shown on the board… Good luck with the creation of your system 👍🏻
  8. True story tho 😅 Could care less about graphics for fm. As long as the actual simulation is on point…
  9. With both the Mez and BBM moving up into the am tier through positional play, the IW automatically stays wider no?
  10. How so if I may ask sincerely? If this is true i missed the memo apparently 😅
  11. Has it been somewhat investigated if i may be so bold to ask?
  12. It isn’t only effective when you have very technically gifted players with high flair tho… When playing in the lower leagues, where players aren’t that good in general and they already have some difficulties in following your tactical instructions in a disciplined manner, you can use be more expressive to let them try things out and just play their game. Think of it like letting them think outside the box.
  13. Let’s check the roadmap for this. Oh wait…. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂
  14. My thoughts exactly. There don’t have to be a bunch of new features everytime which make it susceptible to flaws and bugs. The game is the best out there for years already anyway. Perfecting the craft is also a major accomplishment when done well. Just try and make this game as perfect as it can get as it’s already very extensive
  15. Another thing that we did during the launch phase this year was a roadmap for when we were going to do feature announcements, and that worked well. So, we’ve decided to do the same for game updates too You know, I’m not one who doesn’t acknowledge my own mistakes, so i’m coming out and say that maybe i’ve gone overboard on using the heavy word ‘promised’. Maybe this was just the general feeling i got out of stating it this way. But if I state something and after almost everything i state i use ‘albeit’ or ‘caveat’, I could also just say nothing at all. Maybe this is my emotional talk while being very disappointed now after playing this game since the early champman days. Allways loved this game to bits and the way the interaction with the community took place. But delivering this while talking about a true loveletter to the series and the most complete version ever beforehand, and the kind of radio silence happening more often, causes to lose credibility. My sincerest apologies for my reply
  16. You know I respect the devs being busy with the game. I don’t even want to know how time consuming it is to work on these projects. But we got promised a number of things, and the way I was brought up is that you if you make promises, you have to keep them. Where is our roadmap for example? Amongst other things ofcourse… Yesterday I’ve read in here about the fixture scheduling issue, which I hadn’t even noticed myself but can’t unsee it now as it happens everywhere. (Doesn’t seem like a hard thing to fix but then again i don’t know the slightest about game development). The only thing I know is that we got promised things which weren’t delivered. And guys like RDF and others spending a hell of a lot of time to give detailed explanations and examples… but for what really? Would love for SI to come up with a clear communication message as to what’s to come, and what isn’t to come anymore for this iteration. At least we then know if we can still hope for improvements, or that we just have to suck it all up for now and play this dodgy version of the game until the end of the year, and all efforts people make for reporting bugs is wasted for this version 😅
  17. This issue happens in every league by the way. PL, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Holland etc. etc.
  18. This is litterally the same for every league in the game i’ve noticed. Apart from leagues where there’s a real life fixture list present. But also when ticking the option to not use real life fixture calendars at the start of the save (so random) this happens in every league. All teams play everyone following a set order. Highly anoying, and unrealistic 😅
  19. My god. I hadn’t even noticed this at first, but now I’ve seen it I can’t unsee it… Having the exact same issue where all teams play the exact order of teams back to back in their schedule. Never noticed this because I manage in Holland where you play with the IRL match fixture list in 1st season. Don’t want to start a new save again and untick the box of using real life fixture lists, so I hope this is just something that only occurs during the 1st season and hopefully vanishes when starting the 2nd one…
  20. I don’t know if this is too far fetched or that it isn’t entirely possible, but personally i think it would be cool if there could be more transfer activity for view-only leagues. Not only for players, but for staff as well. I think not everyone has a very good rig with which they can play the game with a lot of leagues playable, so they set many leagues as view-only. And leagues that aren’t playable for example don’t get new coaches when the original manager is sacked. I’ve seen teams in my saves that went on for many many seasons without even having a manager present. Personally it feels like it breaks the immersion quite a bit. Then again, I don’t know if it’s even possible but it would be so nice to see this changed, especially the no manager present thing.
  21. Oh wauw that’s actually pretty cool that our dutch league is a favourite to you as a brazilian! Many great brazilians played over here as well ofcourse 🙏🏻
  22. On this part i’m actually very much in agreement tho. Used to be harder for newly promoted sides to do well in the Eredivisie, but this doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Shows how the league is digressing in overall quality unfortunately
  23. Mate ADO won 2 eredivisietitles in the early 40’s when Holland was taken over by the germans during ww2. Ado, for the most part during history, has always been a club switching between relegations and promotions, with only just a couple of highlight seasons on top level. Last year they had the 4th biggest budget of the dutch 2nd division with only 2.7 million. But, nevertheless, i don’t want to go out explaining dutch footballing history over here. That wasn’t really the point of my reply to Rdf in the first place. It was more about how fm can create storylines by the game not always being a exact copy of irl, which personally, i like 🙂
