  2. Apologies if this has been asked previously How much notice should I take of my assistant? I'm ok during matchplay as I trust the comments to be factual, but if I set a defender on defensive positional training and my assistant says it's not necessary do I take notice?
  3. Hi Just a quick update on progress after 4 sackings on FM22 I took a break and accepted a job with Southport who were near the bottom of National Lge North. First results were a mix but I was immediately dogged with not creating a positive atomosphere just like my previous jobs. I finally settled on 4-2-3-1 and have been tinkering that since. I got a lot of 0-0 draws with the odd 1-0 win but then went on a losing streak with injuries dismissals etc. Inevitably came the messages of sacked if you lose this one against a team in top 6. With 20 mins left my main striker got injured, we went a goal down and I had to use a young loanee winger making his debut as a makeshift striker. I had resigned to calling it a day when he scored late on to snatch a draw. Since then things got better and now at the start of 25/6 season with the aim of a mid table finish we are 6th having won 5 and lost 1. However, we do seem to concede early on. Thanks for the advice and encouragement previously. My dilemma now is that I've got a striker on trial who is better than the 30 odd year old I'm currently relying on and I'm reluctant to sign him in case it spoils the dressing room morale.
  4. yeh, I agree I wouldn't want someone else's solution. although I do think I'm trying too many signings too quickly and need to get away from attacking wing play. could I be listening to assistant too much? do others ignore his advice and just use him for training? I'll secure a position and have a short break
  5. just had my 4th sacking in as many seasons in film had too many players complaining they weren't getting a game. strikers with goodcattrubutes for that level who couldn't score players doing opposite of what I asked team meetings failing to work, no matter what I said it had a negative effect. haven't a clue what to do next and probably need a break. do I apply for jobs or wait to be offered one?
  6. thank you I'll take this onboard, but only I games in this season might need some patience 😉 I must admit on this occasion with Telford I have signed too many, so if i survive I'll concentrate on strengthening the defence and develop youngsters
  7. hi I'm playing fm22 lower league management and currently at my 4th club in my 4th season, sacked 3 times previously I seem to be in a constant spiral I have a decent first season then sign what I believe are better players on attributes I get a promising start but then a longn losing streak happens. Whatever I do has a negative effect, tactics, team meetings etc. advice on what to do please as I'm close to walking away
