  1. Would have loved a Japanese League announcement. Few more African leagues also. That along with improvements to the match engine and tactics and instructions and I’d be happy.
  2. That is crazy. My attention span just couldnt handle. I get bored after 4/5 seasons. Been times where I spent hours on the first in-game day alone, then quit after the first pre-season game lol
  3. Going to pick a new non league club for a road to glory. Which clubs you reckon? They all have cool badges which is the requirement. National League North: Banbury United or Buxton FC French Championnat National: Paris Atletico Spanish Primera Federacion: Intercity CF Will happy take other team suggestions. Ideally lowest league, nice badge, and no/very little trophies won. Now to think will I start this long term save from beta??
  4. not too sure on websites but twitter is very good at times. this also https://www.holdingmidfield.com/case-study-liverpool-2-0-rangers-4-10-2022-jurgen-klopp-giovanni-van-bronckhorst-tactics-tactical-analysis/ and
  5. Wow that looks great. If you can go to the first league game and grab a passing map that would be great (pre season analysis seems funky). Love to compare to the Rangers game passing map. Was the football good in the FM game?
  6. Little bit similar to Man City in some way, with the front 5 and two players infront of the centre half’s? I missed the game due to work but we needed some change, our tactics not as successful in RL than FM lately lol. I’ll try a replication on FM on Friday and post what I think if anyone is interested. If anyone has any articles they would like to post in also, would be great. Thanks for the contribution yet again @ElJefe4
  7. Bajectic (overall improvement), Mrozek (overall improvement), Chambers (overall improvement), Konate (overall improvement), Diaz (has good attributes but there is something missing that makes him not perform, maybe hidden stats), Doak (overall improvement), Mabaya (overall improvement), Cannonier (overall improvement), Gordon (overall improvement),
  8. https://uk.gamesplanet.com/game/football-manager-2023-steam-key--5880-1?ref=itad 33.89 Pounds No shipping and steam key. Good for EU people it seems
  9. A 'meh' announcement. Fan confidence is a feature you'd find in the new updates notes rather than the headline. My ideas for FM24 at this rate. Miles just copy what is said on the forum. So many good ideas doing your job for you. International Teams. More media coverage, more depth. Make sure you can actually train the team. How that isn't a thing is crazy. International camps. Upgrade facilities. Squad rivalries. Youth Teams. Able to manage u18s and u21s, train, create tactics, and sign academy players on a small budget. Can be enjoyable and good for journeyman saves. Tactics. Defensive and attacking formations. More roles and instructions. More depth to the fullback position with new roles etc. Trent Alexander Arnold. Revamp set pieces. Relationships. Promises to be fixed. Contract demanding to be toned down. Salary demands also. Player relations to be more 'troubled', falling outs etc. Match-Engine. Centre backs learn to judge goal kicks. Different types of goals.
  10. Yeah haven’t seen Darwin enough to say for certain but he is playing similar enough I feel to Sadio was for the last few months when he was playing as the 9. AF could be good, Darwin seems to be the vocal point alongside Mo, with play directing towards him. I’ll try find a passing map when on lunch to post so we can see if it can be replicated on FM22 and what role it takes to achieve his average position etc.
  11. Yeah, I was using the narrow 3 just to get the formation on FM to show a front 3-4-3 instead of a 3-3-3-1. Not sure how Pep would line it out, I'm only going off a quote.
  12. I'm only guessing what a false 9 CB is. Don't take the instructions as accurate. Yeah the book is decent, only 80 pages in but if the price drops you should give it a go imo
  13. In Pep Lijnder's new book 'Intensity', he mentions against the 1-1 draw against Chelsea that Liverpool did not have a plan against a low block after 70 minutes. He does mention in the summer he had prepared a set-up based on going 3-4-3 (with the 4 as a diamond). He would bring in two new fresh faces in Curtis and Oxlade, for example on the outside of the diamond and Fabinho at the base like a 'false centre back'. The back three would consist of Robbo, Virgil, and Trent. How would this look?
  14. I use 22. One 11 plays all prem other all cups. Then the 3 best youth lads get added to 25 man squad and might see the odd game time. Allows me to get youth into my first team.
  15. Keep him in academy if you can’t give him gametime, if you have him in first team training but only plays for u21s he misses two days of training a week as he doesn’t train when the 1st team have a game. When you do play him and he eventually has the big clubs making bids. Reject and when he complains just say they don’t reach the required amount. He asks you what you think it should be. Give a highish that he accepts, then importantly offer him out for about 10 million less than that amount. Don’t transfer list just offer. When they submit the bids, you can reject as they are too low and he won’t complain as they are below the agreed amount. It’s a cheat imo but if ur desperate do it. Only thing you must worry about is getting him tied down with contracts. After he is happy to stay when no team matched the price after a year or so of interest, then give a new deal.
  16. I keep it the same rest intensity as default. I get just too many injuries specifically in pre-season when I'm using double intensity when fully fit. Although for my academy I will use double intensity when fully fit to get more development as I'm not too worried about fitness at that level.
  17. I just leave it to chief scout. Set the focus to 15-17 and leave them at it. If I’m at a top club it works fine, miss out on a few gems which keeps it realistic. Might get one or two A rating wonder kids a season which stops me hoarding them.
  18. I notice players who win lots of headers score very well on the ratings regardless of other play.
  19. I gave it a go for my pre-season games. It is a good viewing experience watching your team play in more 'detail', one thing I learned even when having the match speed 2 notches to the right is that a 6.6 performance is not always bad. I had my left-back put in a 6.6 and thought personally he was great on the ball, very composed getting me out of trouble compared to his other teammates who scored high ratings. Not sure if I have the commitment for it over the seasons but is worth a shot.
