The leaderboards are rather informal and it is something people have figured out ways to game (like a lot of leaderboards in games to be fair). I don't believe there is a breakdown of the scoring system publicly available, but the better a season you have the better your score will be.

We aren't able to guarantee we can fix all issues by the next update unfortunately. This is one we're still working on and looking into. -

As he's under 18 and the level you're playing at, is it possible he's on a non-contract basis? If he isn't would you be able to share your save game in which this is happening so that our QA team can take a look into this further? A guide on how to do so is available here: -

Generally it would be beneficial to read the information provided with the update over on the general discussion forum. It was mentioned by Jimmy in the post that you've quoted, we had plans to make further adjustments in this area we feel better reflects the reality and some changes have now been implemented.

For an issue like this we're not too likely to have a resolution available within days as this can be quite a complex issue to investigate. I appreciate its not an ideal outcome but holidaying past the date is the option to continue I would recommend at this time.
