  1. Ended up buying this one: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/acer-aspire-3-15.6-laptop-intel-core-i5-512-gb-ssd-silver-10243540.html Only for the guy in the Currys store to tell me it won't run Football Manager? Surely he's talking nonsense? I've taken it home anyway!
  2. That's sold out sadly, how about these: https://www.laptopstation.co.uk/deals/a315-58-i3/ https://www.laptopstation.co.uk/deals/lenovo-ideapad-3i-14-i3-8gb-128gb-laptop/
  3. Hi Kev, thanks for the advice above re refurbished laptops from laptop station. I've decided I'm going to buy one, but the 2 Lenovos I'd posted are out of stock (need to move fairly quickly by looks of it). Would there be any others on there (less than £300 preferably, but failing that in and around that mark) that you'd recommend? Cheers!!
  4. Thanks very much! And of those 2 above, would you say much of a muchness between the 2? Do you tend to take out the 12 or the 24 month warranty?
  5. Hi Kev, thanks very much for your help on the previous page. I've never actually bought a refurbished laptop before hence slightly wary of buying one vs a new. But you'd recommend buying from laptops direct? You had recommend the below: https://www.laptopstation.co.uk/deals/lenovo-ideapad-3-15-intel-core-i3-8gb-ram-256gb-ssd-11th-generation-cpu-15-6-fhd-screen-laptop/ Id also seen another: https://www.laptopstation.co.uk/deals/lenovo-ideapad-3i-12th-generation-core-i3-8gb-rams-15-6-fhd-screen-laptop/ Would you see much difference in those 2 or have come across anything comparable/better? I'm also wary that black Friday is approaching, although possibly won't get much better than the above to be fair
  6. Thanks Kev, just noticed Currys is down. It's the same as the below on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B5H8DCBS?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=pepperugc03-21&ascsubtag=2420199443
  7. Thanks very much for the quick reply, I'm wondering how effective the below model would be?: https://www.currys.co.uk/products/asus-vivobook-15-x515ja-15.6-laptop-intel-core-i3-256-gb-ssd-silver-10242866.html
  8. Hi, I have a budget of £250-300. I should stress that graphics have no importance to me - I'm still old school and play matches in 2D! However,I would like to run 3 or 4 leagues on a large database. What would be your opinion on any potential laptop options? Many thanks!
