  1. Hi all, I'm interested in emulating Tuchel's Bayern in FM, but I can't seem to find many posts about their tactics from this year. Can any Bayern fans or Bundesliga watchers help out?
  2. I think so, I can go digging for it
  3. I did not, I deleted the save by mistake lol, I am sorry
  4. can you post the save? BTW, your thread from FM23 inspired me to make this one!
  5. I also have a Crystal Palace Tycoon in another save if anyone wants
  6. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/6gesritgv9lvlt17haoqy/Man-Utd-Takeover.fm?rlkey=dokqm8iv17am5p2bd9vx1uq8e&dl=0 Here you go!
  7. I have a save where Man Utd have gotten a Qatari takeover and have 500 million in sponsorship income if anyone wants
  8. Hi all, hope everyone is enjoying early access. If you encounter any cool tycoons in your save, feel free to post the save here!
  9. In my FM23 Parma Save in 2059, Koln have won the Bundesliga a bunch of times, and Stuttgart have won a Champions League. Tycoon-owned Sheffield United have won the UCL twice and Tycoon-Owned Almeria have won La Liga a bunch too. Interestingly, Levante have transformed into a perennial top 4 side in Spain without any tycoon investment, super impressive. And Lyon have become a power house in Ligue 1 due to two incredible players from their academy
  10. Also, anybody create a good replication for Xavi's new tactic with the João's?
  11. anyone have any more interesting saves with tycoons?
  12. agreed. i tested this tactic with a DM-S, telling him to dribble more and that worked really well
  13. https://www.rdftactics.com/post/roberto-de-zerbi-new-4-2-4-exciting-build-up-play-fm23-tactics-football-manager-2023 Just saw this post, thoughts?
  14. Also can anyone do a Xabi Alonso tactic? Bayer have looked great so far
  15. As a Spurs fan, I think you have the fullback roles pretty spot on. I'd probably put take more risks on the right back, because Porro likes to play killer balls (see our 5th goal today). As for the of the tactic, I think I'd put the LCB as a BPD, as Van de Ven likes to dribble forward every now and then, I'd also put the RCB as a BPD-St, because Romero is a psychopath. In the midfield, I would move Bissouma down to the DM strata and make him a DM-S, w/ tackle harder and dribble more often selected. I agree with the RCM being a BBM, I'd maybe put stay wider as a PI because Sarr likes to come wide to help with our build-up on that side. For the LCM, I would make it an AP-A, because Maddison will look to get on the ball and then progress with a dribble or pass. Also put close down more on the AP-a. Finally, I think the winger roles are good, both with stay wider on them, but for the striker, I would make it a PF-S/A.
  16. Here is the pass map from my recreation of the Brighton tactic. Seems to match decently
  17. I tried to replicate it here: *NOTE: The Pivot roles and ST-CAM role positions can be switched, I just chose what worked best for my team* The rationale behind the instructions was that short passing helps with possession, whereas slightly higher tempo will naturally add some directness to the attack and naturally allow the players to counter without having it selected, as I felt having "Counter" ticked made us far too direct. I also chose to have the pivot be positioned in the CM strata to allow the IWB on the right to actually invert. This way, the IWB role which Gross played super well at points last year can flourish and be creative. These are the player instructions: GK: Pass it shorter LB: Sit Narrower, Pass it Shorter, Cross from Byline LCB: Pass it Shorter, Close Down Less RCB: Pass it Shorter, Close Down Less RB: Pass it shorter Left Pivot: Pass it Shorter Right Pivot: Pass it Shorter, Move into Channels, Tackle Harder AM: Roam From Position, Move into Channels, Close Down More LW: Stay Wider ST: N/A RW: N/A Having pass shorter on the defenders and the double pivot will simulate (or at least the best approximation in the FM23 ME) the press-baiting Brighton have become known for, while the high tempo will allow the attackers to attack quickly once the press has been broken. I also think the following player traits are necessary to make it an even better fit: GK: Stops Play, Tries to Play Way out of Trouble LB: N/A LCB: Stops Play, Tries to Play Way out of Trouble RCB: Stops Play, Tries to Play Way out of Trouble RB: Tries Killer Balls Often, Plays One-Twos, Dictates Tempo Left Pivot: Dictates Tempo, Tries to Play Way out of Trouble Right Pivot: Moves into Channels, Gets into Opposition Area, Plays One-Twos LW: N/A AM: Tries Killer Balls Often, Plays One-Twos RW: N/A ST: Plays One-Twos Would love to hear people's thoughts on this!
  18. @Mutumba I just decided to test this tactic with Sassuolo, not a bad team by any stretch, but they finished bottom half in Serie A this year and were projected for 9th in FM. After a season of holidaying, these were the results. I did not sign any players, just used the base team for Sassuolo. Overall, we over-performed and qualified for the Europa League. We were able to play attractive football and remain defensively solid, and even upset some bigger teams, beating Inter twice, beating and drawing Lazio, and beating Atalanta. The xG table shows we got a little lucky, but I'm encouraged seeing that this tactic can do well with decent to meh teams.
  19. @Mutumba honestly yeah fair enough lmao. I'm gonna do a little more testing with a worse team and see if it works there.
