  1. Season 3 | 2026/27 Competitions | Finances | Squad | Transfers | Manager Profile Season Summary What a season! The goal going into the season was to make a push for the playoff spots, and we managed to do that and then some! We won the league! But not only that, we broke the points record with 110 points! I realised very early in the season that the defenders in the National League South had no answer to our emerging star Diogo Martinho in the air, so I customised my tactic to exploit this as often as possible. The focus was to stay solid defensively by always having people back in numbers, then spam long balls and crosses to the front line once we gain possession (particularly to Martinho). This worked like a charm, seeing us win 34 out of 48 games in the league, cruising to a comfortable league title. Because of our dominance in the league, it allowed me to rest the starting 11 before cup games. I don't know if this was a contributing factor or not, because the team has generally been pretty fresh in cup games in previous years too, but we managed to have a fantastic run in the FA Cup. We battled our way all the way to the 4th Round, where we drew the Premier League giants Arsenal at the Emirates. They beat us handily, but all I could think of during the game was the nice bump in finances we were going to get. I must say we had some very forgiving draws. The hardest team we drew before Arsenal was Stevenage in League Two, who weirdly were one of our easiest games of the year. Our FA Trophy run was a lot less eventful. I sold this tournament a bit as we had important fixtures in the league immediately before and after our game with Swindon. Not too bothered with an early exit. As I alluded to earlier, Diogo Martinho had an absolute dominant year. I was hopeful that he would be good when he first came through the youth intake, but he's already surpassed all of my expectations. He smashed the record for most goals scored in a season in the National League south by scoring 50 goals, and he also supplemented that with 8 assists (55 goals and 9 assists in all comps). The best part is I've managed to tie him down to a long term contract, which has proven to be a difficult thing to do with my other emerging stars from the academy. Danny Mills once again had a good season. Nowhere near as dominant as he's been in previous seasons, but 25 goals and 4 assists in all comps is nothing to sniff at. I have however decided not to extend his contract, so he'll be leaving us in the summer. It might turn out to be a bad decision if Martinho gets injured, as he's the only one who's comparable to Martinho in the air, but I'd like to give playing time to some of the young forwards I have coming through. I also want to give a special shout-out to my left wing-back Jerome Binnom-Williams, who is one of the original players here when I first arrived to Dulwich Hamlet. He is one of the players who benefitted the most by the tactical change, as he got a nice tally of 18 assists in all competitions this season. Derek Hayward and Cho Ki-Sung are two players I love and hate at the same time. They're amazing and are performing at a high level, but they are both refusing to enter any kind of negotiation for a contract extension, which means we're losing both of them before the start of next season. It's a big blow, as their backups are nowhere near their quality. I'm still hopeful we'll be able to achieve survival in the National League without them, but it would definitely be easier with them on the team. In terms of sales, we sold Azard Best to QPR for 165K + 50% sell-on clause. I was open to sell him as he generally wasn't performing that well, and QPR offered a nice transfer sum, which I was able to negotiate even higher. Him not performing wasn't only on him, to be fair to him. I was kind of shoehorning him into the side, because he was one of my more talented players, but he really didn't fit into my tactical setup. Fingers crossed we'll see a nice injection of cash in the future from the 50% sell-on clause. In other news, we can now boast of having adequate training facilities after getting an upgrade to the training facilities. And in even bigger news, the board decided to go ahead with the plans to build a new stadium, which would see an increase in capacity from 3.000 to 6.239 from the 2028/29 season. This did leave us £1.97M in the red, and it immediately prompted the board to tell me that we were close to administration. Very confusing, as it was them who made the decision to go ahead with the new stadium without any requests from my side? They did later secure a loan of £1.5M, so the finances aren't looking as bleak right now. Youth Intake Preview | Intake An exciting intake with some great talents! Garry Halliday 27-2 and Daniel Smith 27-4 are already making their breakthroughs and are going to be in the starting 11 next season. Gus Greaves 27-1 is also an exciting prospect, but a bit of a weird one. Professional personality, decent CA and nice potential, but I really don't like him as a striker or winger, so I'm retraining him as an attacking wing-back. He is weak defensively, but defense is not the end-all-be-all for the wing-backs in my system. We'll see how he does. Stats & Bingo (10/100)
  2. Dulwich Hamlet Season 2 | 2025/26 Vanarama National League South Competitions | Finances | Squad | Transfers | Manager Profile | Facilities Season Summary Season 2 is in the books and it's a season where we were planted solidly mid-table all season. We were never really in danger of relegation, but we were also never challenging for the playoff spots, which meant I could give playtime to some of the youngsters without too much stress. Overall I'm pleased with how the season went, but I hope we'll be able to at least challenge for the playoffs next season. Our cup runs were quite uneventful. We were knocked out in the 4th Qualifying Round in the FA Cup by Newport and 2nd Round in the FA Trophy by Dartford. There were some challenges throughout the season. My golden boy striker, Derek Hayward, got his knickers in a twist midway through the season when I decided to trigger the one-year extension clause in his contract. He's been in a mood ever since and his form unfortunately also saw a clear decline. He did pick it up a bit towards the end of the season, but he is still unhappy and refuses to sign any long term contract with us, which means I either have to sell him this summer or let his contract run out next season (if he doesn't change his mind). At the moment I'm leaning towards keeping him for another season, as his valuation of 40K is too low compared to his value for us. He's also not the only one refusing to sign a contract. Another one of our star players, Anthony Jeffrey, is also not keen on staying, and his contract is running out this summer. I am however not as bothered with Jeffrey not extending, as he is injury prone and been on the decline for two seasons now. I'm hopeful the forwards from our 2024/25 youth intake can replicate his output, if not surpass it, but in an ideal world he would be with us for another season. Another challenge I had to face this season was when my captain, Michael Chambers, decided to nuke the locker-room atmosphere, when he came to me and complained about the lack of depth at the goalkeeper position. I tried my best to diffuse the situation, but Michael wasn't having any of it... I know our goalkeepers suck Michael, but I'm waiting for a good one to come through the youth intake goddamnit! Danny Mills was once again our star performer, getting himself the Golden Boot and Player of The Year in the league after netting 33 goals and providing 6 assists (36 goals and 7 assists in all competitions). He's getting up there in age, but he is still with us for next season. Hopefully he has one more great season in him! Derek Hayward, despite his antics, also had a decent season, grabbing himself 16 goals and 4 assists in all competitions. He's still continually getting call-ups to the Belgian U19s National Team, so it really would be a shame if he was to leave us. During the season we got nice progress in the development of 3 of our youngsters from last years intake; Cho Ki-Sung 25-6, Azard Best 25-2 and Diogo Martinho 25-5. They also had decent seasons for the first team, where they featured regularly in their respective positions. Coaching license wise I've managed to get my Continental B license and currently studying for a Continental A. I've also gotten a couple of upgrades to junior coaching and youth recruitment, so once again nice progress on that front. Something I'm a bit nervous about, but hopefully will be a good thing in the long run, is the board announcing plans to build a new stadium. Hopefully it won't completely ruin our finances... Youth Intake Preview | Intake A bit disappointed with this years youth intake, but at least there's a somewhat decent goalkeeper in there in Fred Boakye 26-1. My current goalkeeper, Preston Edwards, who isn't very good to begin with, has decided to retire. Because of this Fred is going into next season as the starting goalkeeper, as the goalkeeper from last years intake, Kingsley Temitope 25-8, is nowhere near good enough. Hopefully we'll see some good development from him, otherwise we're pretty screwed... The one I'm the most excited about initially is Anestis Fortounis 26-4. He should develop quite nicely with his fairly determined personality and 5 star potential ability. He does however play in the same position as of one of out best players, Ade Shokunbi, so I don't know how much gametime he'll see. With the others I'm not too excited, but we'll see how they develop. I wasn't overly excited about Cho Ki-Sung from last seasons intake either, but he's been developing quite nicely and is quickly becoming one of my favourites. Stats & Bingo (2/100)
  3. Thanks! A bit of both, some stuff is done manually and some are automatically set up. The manual stuff did take quite a while to make, but now that I have the templates in place, it's going to be a lot easier to make.
  4. This is my first time attempting the Youth Academy Challenge, and what better country to do so than England? After setting up the save and surveying potential landing spots, one club in particular caught my attention. I had no doubt this was the club I wanted to embark on this journey with. Dulwich Hamlet Season 1 | 2024/25 Vanarama National League South Competitions | Finances | Squad | Transfers | Manager Profile| Facilities Season Summary I've already played through my first season, which saw us finish right outside the playoff spots in 8th. If my first-choice goalkeeper William Lakin wasn't poached by Grimsby during the pre-season, we might have finished higher in the table. Still a decent first season, as the season previews had us finishing all the way down in 17th. We also managed two decent cup runs before bowing out against Blackpool in the 1st Round in the FA Cup and Newport in the 5th round in the FA Trophy. Standout performer of the season was without a doubt our 33 year old striker Danny Mills, who ended the season with a tally of 40 goals in 48 apps. I am worried about how we’re going to cope once he decides to hang up the boots (we’ve already had one key player, Elliott Romain, decide to retire). Other players will have to step up when that happens, but luckily he’s still with us for next season. Another standout performer was a player from our year 0 youth intake, Derek Hayward. Hayward started the season from the bench, but his role on the team grew as his development skyrocketed throughout the season, which also saw him awarded with a cap for Belgium U19s National Team! I'm currently studying for a National A license during the summer break, and I also managed to convince the board to give me two upgrades to junior coaching and youth recruitment respectively, so nice progress on that front. Youth Intake Preview | Intake A good intake with some players that I'm hopeful will play a part in the first team in the upcoming season. I am a bit disappointed that I didn't get this great goalkeeper prospect that I was promised, as I'm currently really lacking a quality goalkeeper. Kingsley Temitope was the only goalkeeper coming through the intake, and I don't see him becoming a great goalkeeper with his personality, but we'll see how he develops. One of the most exciting prospects is Azard Best 25-2 from Barbados (what a hairstyle btw.), who's already making positive contributions to the first-team, grabbing himself 2 goals and a Player of The Match. I am also excited about the Portuguese striker Diogo Martinho 25-5, who I hope will pick up the mantle from Danny Mills as our target forward, once he retires. He is currently not very good, but I have high hopes that he'll develop into a great striker with his 5 star potential ability and professional personality. We'll see how the rest get on throughout the season, there will definitely be opportunities for them to break into the first-team. Stats & Bingo (Kudos to WhiteCat33 for creating the spreadsheet. I hope it's okay that I'm using it.) (1/100)
