I'm from Brazil, living in Curitiba, and I passionately support Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras. I've been playing for so long that I could be mistaken for one of the creators of Football Manager.

  1. Got it. Is it possible to change it to show only the first letter in caps and the rest of it in lowercase? I.e. instead of KAIO JORGE, Kaio Jorge.
  2. @snowofman thanks for your advices. Do you mind providing me information on which files I should look at? Thanks. @Holzi yes I did. I strongly believe that, as snow~ said before, it's a standard point of the game, unless you have anything different to tell me regarding this theme. Thank you for your answer.
  3. What if I just remove any caps in this screen? Would it work?
  4. How can I solve this? I'm currently using the latest version of SAS (March). Looking at the image below, every player is regularly identified by their own name. However, whenever I decide to give someone a nickname (you can identify Kaio Jorge's example below (#9), which I decided to shorten simply to "Kaio") it doesn't show in caps like the others. I know that it looks like a minor problem, but it yells to my ADHD every time it happens.
  5. You may have a point. It's clear to me what you said about the already available tools to manage this kind of trouble, since it may be a trouble that could be solved simply by dealing properly with player's contracts. On the other hand, I think that you've already and kindly answered your own question. You asked me to clarify properly what I was exactly expecting from SI concerning this problems; you also said very precisely that there should be a way to speak more comprehensively with players about our focus and squad rotation in order to prevent playing time issues. Despite of its evolutions over the years, I'm convinced that there's a lot of things that simply should be better and more realistc such as press conferences (maybe options to build an answer with 3 or 4 consecutive phrase choices, in order to make it more dynamic and to avoid those boring-always questions), interactions (players' playing time is one of my points), negotiations (mostly agents and contracts), different currencies by usage (i.e. BRL for wages and EUR for market transfers) and there it goes. Please notice that my points are always related to realism in order to avoid nonsense situations such as that squad playing time issues. Once again, thank you for your time. It's very important to discuss things like that.
  6. @starbugg, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, changing the competition's reputation isn't enough. It's probably something concerning the national league. Taking Palmeiras and Abel Ferreira as an example in real life, the manager and his team won the Copa Libertadores twice consecutively. In his third year, people started to complain about how Palmeiras didn't perform well in the national league. Then he focused his attention on this competition as well and also won it twice consecutively. As a Palmeiras fan, I'm still looking for another Copa Libertadores, if you understand me. @NineCloudNine and @scythian12, thank you for your comment. I can assure you that these problems are related to the national league matches. The Brazilian schedule is a mess, mostly because of those regional championships at the start of the season, such as those in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. It's common to play matches on Wednesday and Saturday or Thursday and Sunday in the same week. If you're alive, so to speak, in the Copa do Brasil, Campeonato Brasileiro, and Copa Libertadores simultaneously, you can be sure that you'll have a match to play every three days. Personally, I prefer to fight for the Copa Libertadores; however, my best players are supposed to play in the national league (Campeonato Brasileiro), and giving them playtime in the international competition doesn't seem to be enough. As a matter of fact, this is something that Sports Interactive has to work on for FM 2025, since we can unfairly lose squad control because of this unreasonable playing time. We simply can't have a deeply strong team because of the players' complaints about how much they play and how much they don't.
  7. Sup guys, just a small issue to discuss here and take opinion and directions. Regarding Agreed Playing Time, my question is simple. I know that, in Europe, greater importance is given to national championships, such as the Premier League (England) and La Liga (Spain). In South America, however, we value the continental competition much more - in our case, the Copa Libertadores de América, which represents the UEFA Champions League for South Americans (proportionally speaking). Perhaps due to the European model, athletes only consider their playing time in national leagues (such as the Brazilian Championship) for satisfaction purposes. In other words, if I decide to prioritize the Copa Libertadores and always field the strongest team for this competition, I will inevitably have to rest the best players in the national league. This generates dissatisfaction in the squad because of playing time. In other words, even though, in real life, SA clubs prioritize the Copa Libertadores, in FM, players do not care about it, since their satisfaction with the playing time granted is exclusively related to the national league. Is it possible, via the pre-game editor, to change these settings so that the players understand that the Copa Libertadores, for example, is more appropriate for defining their playing time than the national league? If the answer is yes, can someone give me directions? Thanks!
  8. It may look a little silly, but I'd like to have a couple of currencies running in my game at the same time. For example: wages in BRL and transfer values in EUR or USD. It sounds a little more realistic.
  9. For heaven's sake, what's your real name? I'd like to name my son after you. You may find it a bit exaggerated, but it feels like I've been tormented by a relentless headache, and suddenly someone has lifted it with their hands in less than a minute. It worked! God bless you and your family.
  10. I proceeded as you recommended. Thank you.
  11. Sup, ladies and gentlemen. I'd like to bring up the issue I mentioned in this topic regarding a visualization problem related to the schedule (or calendar). As I mentioned before, I would like to know if it's possible to remove, soften, or change the colors highlighting the matches of the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Sudamericana (in green and blue), as shown below. It bothers me to access the calendar and not promptly identify the next match to be played. The green and blue lines end up catching my attention, and it takes me a bit longer to find the next match, which causes me some irritation. The skin used is Sas.Feb24. Furthermore, since I was told in another topic that it's a skin-related issue, I would also like to share the visualization in the regular FM 24 skin, where this highlight also appears, but in more subdued colors. Can anyone help me? Thank you! SAS.FEB24 FM24 REGULAR SKIN
  12. It may be a skinning thing, I can't say right now. Also, I understand what you say. I know that it's scheduled from top to bottom, it's quite obvious. This is not what I'm saying. As I told you, I'd simply like to remove those green and blue lines that are supposed to stablish a difference between the regular games and the cup games. Anyway, if you think it should be moved to another section to fulfill the rules, I sign it. @topic~, any suggestion?
  13. Hello there! I'm from Brazil, and I have a simple question about FM 24. I apologize if this topic isn't in the right area. Here's the thing: I've been playing Football Manager since 2005, starting with the very first version. I won't even get into Championship Manager, which was also a big part of my teenage years. I have some habits and preferences that the newer versions don't quite fulfill, particularly regarding visual aspects of the schedule. If you don't mind, could you please take a look at the attached image? Now, let's discuss this: all matches of the Copa do Brasil are highlighted with a green line, and those of the Copa Sudamericana with a blue line. As a consequence, it's difficult for me to promptly identify which is the next match to be played, since the green and blue lines draw visual attention and hinder a direct, simple, and effective glance. Is it possible to remove or change the colors of these lines to green and blue? Standardize them, make everything the same color, something like that. I'm using the 'Sas.Feb24' skin. Thank you since now.
