25 "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn"
  1. Here we go again, while at it I used the Youth Development profile for my manager attributes this time.
  2. Well, sacked at the beginning of the new year ! I really struggled to make the team work and tbh its probably my fault, I realized I wasn't playing to the strengh of my team too late and even changing the tactic, which helped a bit during like 4 matches, wasn't enough. My players were so demoralised already. But I'm really struggling to have my defence working, we conceded a lot of goals just after scoring. So if anyone have any tips for that, or generally for tactics in lower leagues, I would be very glad to hear it ! I still wanna do the challenge with East Killbride F.C., and I knew sacking was a possibility so I kept a separate save file that starts when my manager is hired so that I can restart from the beginning if i'm sacked but damn it's hard
  3. East Kilbride F.C. Introduction Since downloading FM24, I was looking for a save idea and I stumbled onto this challenge. It reminded me one my core FM memory, a Lifeban save I did with RC Lens on FM13 (I think). During the last 2 days, I’ve read the through the 16 first pages of the thread and it motivated me to create an account, start my save and start to post to keep track of the save and share it with the community ! Why East Kilbride F.C. ? I really wanted to do a save in Scotland. In fact, before discovering the challenge I started a save with East Fife FC to see how it goes down in the Scotland 4th tier. I chose East Kilbride because, despite the clear ugliness of the badge, I kinda like it ? I don’t really know why, it feels unique and catch my eye. Also, the club motto seems consistent with the challenge. To quote the club official website : “The club motto is "a priori" or "based on what went before", as a reminder of the original club, the two founding modern teams and the other clubs which joined during 2011 and 2012”. If I successfully bring the club to the top, it will be based on what went before, all the young players that played for the club and helped bring it to its peak. The Kits : The Manager : The East Kilbride F.C. Homegrown Hall of Fame : During this save, I will keep a record of the youngsters that helped significantly to build the club. I won’t judge them solely on their abilities, but really on the contribution they made. For example, If a newgen defender help us win the cinch League 2 title by carrying the defense, he will be there. If we reach the Premiership, if a newgen lead the attack and help us win the title over the Old Firm, he will be there. Now, time to start the season !
