Blanchflower1
It is still considered a waste of money because he is quite old now!
Ryknow
He's costing more than 500k, your giving him 190,000 a week! That's insane for a 35yr old.
dafuge
He's costing more than 500k, your giving him 190,000 a week! That's insane for a 35yr old. Good job it is only a 1 year contract, he's costing around £10m a year!
Yid Army
159 caps? Is he still first choice for Argentina?
backpackant
Shame about his physical attributes, but he should do okay.
Ty
159 caps for the Argies is unreal. But he should be allowed to retire at Barca.. and you ruined that! Be ashamed
Bliop
He doesn't look that old tho
JohnTerry-look-alike
Definitely wouldn't give a 35 year old 190,000 a week!!! No matter who he is!

DanTheMan999
I just got Ribery of a free for Fulham. And he's 28...
PitchPosh
This same situation happened for me with C. Ronaldo on my West Brom save. I had the opportunity to sign him on for next to nothing, but like Messi in your save he wanted astronomical wages that were far too much for his age. On a side note, did capturing him still boost shirt sales at this late of a stage in his career?
JohnTerry-look-alike
I just got Ribery of a free for Fulham. And he's 28... Thats a brilliant signing, how much are his wages?
Terra21
Hes been doing no bad actually, scored a couple smashing goals. 6 goals in 10 games atm, 1 assist and 1 MoM.
Maestro_DK
Definitely wouldn't give a 35 year old 190,000 a week!!! No matter who he is! Why not? If a player playes well what diffrence dos it make if he is 25 or 35?
Aquaplex
Messi has a wage of USD 475,000 a week in Barcelona on my save in 2nd season. lol I'm not managing Barca though.
dynobug
ha i would never buy a 35 yr old unless i was managering bristol rovers or someone like that.
Cassano99
I'd have signed him too. I wouldn't be able to resist signing quite possibly the greatest player of all time for that amount. Also, where do you get the National badges? Like the Argentinian FA logo?
Shaka Sangoma
I hope you haven't got a coach/manager release clause, you should try to sign him on as backroom staff
Vangelis21
waste of money. I signed ronaldinho for free when he was 33. still a waste of position
DanTheMan999
Thats a brilliant signing, how much are his wages? 145k. Which is quite a lot for me, nearly double my second highest earner. But there was room in the budget so I thought "Why not?"
sebbie
SIgned Beckham for Ispwich at age of 38 on free and he scored 3 goals and got five 5 assits to help me win the Chamionship in 2013. He also only on 29,500per week as well. Not sure how he fair in primier league next season know.

jimmyt86
only 46 goals in 159 appearances for the argies....think he would have scored more than that!
DivineOne
Protip: keep him as a coach! In my game he is a 4 star attacking & shooting coach, and 4,5 star set pieces & ball control coach.
Terra21
I tried to tie up Messi for another year but he still wanted £190k a week, so I didn't renew his contract, he eventually left on a free and joined Athletico Madrid on £36k a week! Still, I'm happy I worked with him

Ayresyboy1996
well u can still say you signed the worlds best player no-matter what the age
Vermundr
Well you did the silly thing there. Of course he will demand huge wages while tied to Barcelona, if you allowed him to go without a club and then signed him he would have asked for reasonable wages
ViG1980
I love these kinds of signing when you are a smaller team (not that Ajaz are that small but still) and you sign an old vet who is still good.
DanTheMan999
Kevin Phillips for Glentoran. Tore the place apart.

NVS_Gooner4life
I would had kept him and tried to make him coach at your club, that is of course if you could have afforded his high salary.
DanTheMan999
I'll try and get a screenshot of mine when I get home.
