Jonathan Peter Williams (born 9 October 1993) is a Welsh footballer currently playing for Crystal Palace.

Williams made his debut coming on as a second half substitute at home to Coventry City on Tuesday 16th August 2011. A week later he made his first team full debut in a League Cup game at home to Crawley Town. He played 85 minutes, assisting one goal before getting a standing ovation from the home crowd. The Wales U21 international, who went to Bennett Memorial Diocesan School in Tunbridge Wells, scored his first professional goal for Crystal Palace on 13th September 2011 against Wigan Athletic in the Carling cup. Williams got another assist in the Carling Cup during the third round tie against Middlesbrough F.C.. Williams was the second youngest player to play for the Welsh under 21's having just turned 17. Williams was called up to the senior Welsh squad on the 3rd October following injuries to 3 players for the matches against Switzerland and Bulgaria. Williams came off the bench at home to Bristol City F.C. on 18th October 2011 and won a penalty that was scored by Glenn Murray.

Top youngster coming through the infamous Palace academy. A classic center mid with his great natural fitness and stamina levels for a 17 year old. Got good passing and dribbling plus some decent mental stats. Nicknamed Joniesta due to his skillset being similar to that of Iniesta.

All staff reckons he could be a good Prem center mid, at 4 1/2 stars. Also tipped as a good advanced play maker - support.

Has already played 7 games this season for Palace, and has started a bit of a battle between Wales and England as to who will get him, being English born to Welsh parentage.
