I start work at ten to four this afternoon, and finish at one thirty in the morning.

I have a sad face because of this. But also a bit of a happy face, as after today I have two days off, get both the semi finals in, plus it's my daughters first birthday tomorrow.

Thanks. I have a 9 year old step daughter as well as a 12 year old son. Judging by the boy, parenting gets a lot harder as soon as secondary school begins.

What tom said. :brock:

This thread really has gone to the dogs.

Thats your fault.

My plans for the day revolve around working, hobbling around on crutches and avoiding the hordes of chuggers on the streets of London. Then some FM tonight when I get home. That is all.

What happened?

Yes and no Gizmo. I didn't do last week as our night guy was back from his injury similar to edgar's by the sound of it. He did his falling off/up his curb though. Night guy is off on holiday this week so I offered to do it if I could finish Saturday morning. Told them I wasn't doing Saturday late again.

The inside of my leg has been killing me whenever I do anything strenuous over the past month or so, think it's something with the ligament. Want to go get it seen by someone, but I don't want to pay. :D

If I go to the doctor's will they refer me to a physio, or do they not do that seeing as it's purely a sports injury?

Surely the doctor can figure out what's a matter with it. If they can't, or aren't certain, they could refer you to someone else. If they know what it is and know how to fix it, they may refer you to a specialist surely.

I'm fairly lucky that I'm not active in many sports now. When I say sports I mean cricket. Unless I go out and play football which is rare because I pick up knocks/ache the next day. I played football the other day and mis-timed two tackles which has left my left calf aching like feck. Also aching all over and my top front of my legs hurt.

The worst ever injury I've ever picked up was playing cricket 4/5 years ago. Fielding and being a fairly big lad I struggle to get down to field the ball. Anyway, at mid-on and the ball came to me at pace, I had to move round a little but got down quickly, one handed pick up and threw it out. Thought nothing of it. But for the rest of that summer, and into the winter, I struggled to sprint as I'd just pull up/feel a twinge in the top right of my leg. It's been gone for ages but I never knew what it was.

When I played a lot of football I had a problem with my knee, something to do with the cartilidge, went to the doctor's and then they sent me to the physio

As long as there's no paying that sounds excellent.

My bet is that joe has a flesh eating virus in his leg.

Here's hoping.

Wouldn't have thought my GP would know how to diagnose an injury like that tbh. Maybe they do.

Listening to
though.

You've linked better :(

Still have a couple on my iPod from what you linked, always good background music when pre-drinking. (The ones containing newer songs anyway, which everyone can relate to)

I get knee trouble from time to time. It may be different in other parts of the country but here if you lay it on thick enough they will refer you to a physio. You will get six sessions with him/her, then you are on your own. The following year it gets reset and you can go back to the doc and get another six.

Love the last sentence. There speaks a man who has been through parenthood

Yeah. Here speaks a man who is training to be a teacher and see's it first hand the way they act, and a man who is bringing up his girlfriends two children.

Know the facts before you pipe up with your comments.

Meh. Acceptable comments in my eyes.

Personally I think you've overreacted massively and taken his comments the wrong way. But whatever.

You'll be pleased to hear I've started reading your career thread and I like it.

Yeah I'd say that's a bit over the top. Let's hope you don't take that bad attitude into the classroom

Its a good day today. My baby Is one year old today, I'm waiting outside school to pick up my son, and we are all off to pizza hut for a family celebration. Then later on the euros are on, really looking forward to it.

Life is good right now. I think Spain will win the lot, I can't see any team being able to cope with their style of play, even Germany.
