Mayzie
Surely the reason there's a £105m jackpot is because every now and then they do a stupid promotion with a big jackpot so people like yourself & people who don't even bother playing normally go and put more money on than they normally would. NorthernGooner
I have never put on the lottery, and I don't intend to either.

gechal
I'm so glad the Internet was invented. The quality of that furious post, and the detailed responses are such a good read. Add to that the excellent zonal Marking website , and you can actually find decent football discussion. If we didn't have the Internet, we would have to put up with the garbage the sun serves up every day, plus those total Knobheads who call themselves pundits on the telly. Lazy punditry from ex players, telling us things we already saw for ourselves. Producers should think properly and employ people who Know about the game, Jonathan Wilson for example, I've never seen him on tv. What a change it would make. Still, hurrah for the Internet, and all the quality it provides. Three cheers!
joe__the__man
My mum used to do it until I convinced her otherwise. It's just betting without any enjoyment or skill.
tomtuck01
I simply don't care about winning millions. I already have money.
Nottingham Forest
That's nice Tom. But I wouldn't mind winning all of it. Being able to retire at 20. Go travelling, go watch other sports around the worlss. Go and watch other football games in other countries. Not having to worry about anything really in life. gechal
I'm sure it would bring its own problems. I'd rather be happy and content for the rest of my life than be stinking rich.
SRL88
Even if I did win the lottery I wouldnt retire. I would like to keep some sense of reality.

AcidBurn
Leon Knight was quite amusing last night on Twitter. I found it amusing, did Dani Lloyd turn him down or something he seems very bitter towards her.
Ty
God knows, I just found the whole thing amusing. Twitter is awesome when footballers or celebrities argue. We get to see it all!

AcidBurn
He's pretty much continuously making comments about how many people have shagged O'Hara's missus.
Nottingham Forest
Basically, Leon Knight starting saying that Jamie O'Hara's wife was a slag basically and that she had been with many lads in football. Leon Knight thinks he's amazing when he's not. O'Hara's taken it to the police as well.
AcidBurn
Knight commentating on his own goal scoring ability, it's pretty funny in a stupid way.

Nottingham Forest
Greg Halford \o/. So that's Halford(RB/CB), Collins(CB/LB) and Guedioura(CM). Our defence looks 5 times as good as it did 3 days ago.

Nottingham Forest
Really not fussed about the Olympics. Waste of time and money imo. Trying to have a debate with another Forest fan on Steam and my god, he has no idea.

tomtuck01
Haven't thought about the income it will generate for the country, have you NF?
Nottingham Forest
I don't think it will generate much tbh. I reckon if you add up how much it will cost to do everything, it won't really do much. Granted I haven't seen many figures, or looked for many but I can't help but feel it will be a waste of money. £27m for an opening ceremony ffs.
tomtuck01
In the grand scheme of things, £27million isn't much.
Nottingham Forest
Correct, it's not. Not when you've spent however much on a new stadium, employing staff, spending money on the G4S contract only for them to **** it up. I honestly can't wait for the Olympics to end. tomtuck01
Think before you type NF - it will save you looking like a pillock.
Nottingham Forest
I'll always look like a pillock. That won't ever change. I just can't say I'm excited. Waste of money, time and effort. If that changes, I'll be sure to send you a postcard.

tomtuck01
It's the greatest show on earth. Simple as that. All the people moaning are those who would moan at anything. The naysayers can seriously **** off for the next few weeks - go abroard if you don't want to be around for it. Frankly, you aren't wanted or needed. NorthernGooner
I'm not one for the olympics and I won't be watching it, but this opening ceremony is a lot better than I expected. Actually enjoying it

Nottingham Forest
Maybe I spoke too soon. The last 10 minutes have been ok. I still don't believe it to be worthwhile.
NorthernGooner
To me though the Olympics isn't about the sport, it's about bringing everyone together as a community sort of this, like the World Cup, bringing fans from all over the World.
Nottingham Forest
I can't be doing with that. Prefer my own company and all that cack. No Euromillions winners either.
SRL88
I have never minded watching the Olympics but I am just sick of turning on the TV and thats all that is on. gechal
Spending billions on it is irresponsible. Spend it on hospitals, police etc. people ate having to go to food banks to feed their families. Services are being cut left right and centre. But billions are spent on this. Disrace. No amount of tourist cash is going to put all this into profit. I can't stand the term " team gb". For **** sake it's great Britain. No other country is using team. There ain't no team Japan or team Kenya. Team gb. **** sake.

Nottingham Forest
Won £6 on the Euromillions. Makes me a loss of £4. I'll add that £6 to my scratchcard fund.
SRL88
And it is different in other countries? I dont care what is shoved down the throats of other countries. As long as I dont see it on every channel I turn on.
