RTHerringbone
Off to the Emirates tomorrow. When I bought the ticket I should have looked at the fixtures - Arsenal play Bayern in the week so I expect them to send out a bunch of misfits and nobodies - cue Gervinho, Arshavin, Squillaci and co. Was hoping to see Wilshere but there's no way Wenger will risk him with the midweek game in mind. Really hoping to see Cazorla. PS - Not a Gooner! PPS - Not a Blackburn fan!!! fuzzrab
Evening/Afternoon all. Sitting here with a few bottles of wine, surprise surprise, and watching the SA vs Pak cricket match. How is everyone/ P.S i blame Cleon for me being up this late and drinking to excess. His excellent Ajax youth thread has me hooked on FM13 again, really enjoying my new Rangers save trying to develop players. P.P.S Sorry Cleon but i have to find someone to blame for my blatant alchoholism.
RTHerringbone
"A few bottles"? Unless they are smaller than a bog standard sized bottle of wine, then that's a recipe for disaster in my book. One bottle of red is enough to render me in all sorts of trouble the next morning. One advantage of my rare foray to the nation's capital tomorrow is that I get license for an all-dayer - I get on the train at 10.20am and will get home as and when the lures of London become too much or too tiring. Nope they are 3x750ml botles of wine. I never used to drink wine but after moving to Australia i have really got a taste for it. they will be spread out over several hours, along with a few pints of water, though so it wont really be that bad (at least thats what i tell myself). Thats the one thing i really do miss about the UK, the live football. they have it over here but it is only a fledgling league so isn't to a great standard. I used to go watch the live games of the Brisbane Roar, local A-league team, but stopped when they tried to charge double for a season ticket and were only giving you a few extra matches. The downside is I bloody hate London. It'll only taken me a couple of hours to get from home to the stadium, but it entails fighting the tube and it just grates with me. I went on some course in London for a week last year and had to commute from home every day, it was the most excruciatingly painful experience of my life. From what I understand you are on a pretty tight leash Nah she doesn’t worry about it much. I think she gets exasperated (sp?) a lot as I usually tell her I will be finishing the glass of wine/beer I have left when she goes to bed and be in in half an hour. Naturally I then decide after the wifes influence is gone that it wouldn't hurt to have a few more. I have probably exaggerated the tight leash a bit more on here as I have had a few usually. We have been together 12.5 years now so she is pretty used to me staying up late. The main problem is my inability to come to bed on a weekend due to the just “one more game syndrome”. Yeah i used to work in a pub in Greenford for 1 year before coming toi Australia and i hated everytime i had to use the tube. Luckily i lived and worked in the pub so didn't have to travel into the city centre that often but when i did i found it the most miserable experience, nobody smiles/talks. I get that, and it will be demonstrated tonight! I have plans afoot for changing my current, boring save, and those plans need to be given some serious attention.
