Gizmo7
We definitely need a new thread, 237 pages long this one the old one was about half as big.

Nottingham Forest
I think he got a mrs & fell off the face of the earth. He did. I think he also moved closer to Barnet due to personal reasons. He got engaged, then unengaged before getting back with the mrs that he got engaged to. Haven't spoke since. Just found our old thread - Ronseal Also, what happened to edgar? edgar doesn't appear much. He doesn't even talk to me now either . Last time I asked him how life was he didn't want to talk about it . We do need a new thread.
tomtuck01
I don't understand why we need a new thread?

Gandy
Make a new one. Off Topic Thread: at the request of tomtuck01.

joe__the__man
joe_the_man stopped being a student. Pretty much this. For some reason I've bought the new FM though, even though I know I'll have no time to play it. Working 60 hour weeks, having a proper relationship and trying to maintain a semblance of a social life means no time for gaming, especially not Football Manager haha. joe__the__man
60 hour weeks? Who the hell do you work for? I'm an assistant restaurant manager at a hotel. Contracted 40 hours a week, but we've been short-staffed for the 3 months I've been here.

joe__the__man
Its all money . I wish it were. For the extra hours I get given lieu days that I'm never going to be able to take. What do you do again SRL? I forget.

Well that's a pain in the arse . I'm a qualified teacher, but the school I work at (SEN school) is attached to a foster home and I mix my work up between teaching and caring. I also work in a pizza shop a couple of nights a week.

tomtuck01
Lazy ******* . It's not me being lazy, I just literally don't have anything to do. I'm basically a pointless layer of management. If I wasn't here no one would notice.

Nottingham Forest
I'm always fairly busy and I get paid extremely well for the work I do. The hours aren't that bad either although I'll be required to work 1 Saturday every 3 from January onwards instead of the current 1 every 4.
joe__the__man
You have no idea how happy I'd be to work 1 in 3 Saturdays.
Nottingham Forest
I've done my time in terms of working Saturdays. For 4 years from 2008 until 2012 I worked every Saturday. Whether it be a late or an early. I'd then be working most Sundays for 2 of those years as well. Sounds like when I worked in retail. **** hours for **** pay. Spike
Haven't been in here for a couple of years (mainly due to not playing FM) but there are still a few familiar names lol Debating whether to get FM15. Any feedback on the BETA version?
Gandy
Goalkeepers are rubbish, and unless you have pacey defenders, a defensive midfielder is recommended.
fuzzrab
Hello all. I've not been on here for a while but it seems the place has picked up again. I just had a look at the rangers (Glasgow variety) thread and it seems the usual idiocy has surfaced again. I can't comment too much as it appears the mod, Kriss, has deleted the idiocy before I saw it so I am just basing it on his comment no 17 in the Glasgow Rangers thread. I really can’t understand people like this, I’m a Gers fan by the way. I work & live in Australia but born in Scotland, with a lot of expats, and one of my best friends at work is a Celtic supporter, & a Catholic, also born in Scotland. We get on brilliantly and often have a light hearted dig at each other over football. Does it really take moving to the opposite side of the world to get over prejudices? Nottingham Forest
Nope it was horrendous. However, it was the best away day I've been to in a long time. For the last 15 minutes or so, every Forest fan was chanting constantly. I've had time to calm down now and I'm fine.

michalgottwald
Thought I'd drop by and say hi after upping my posting frequency drastically after the FM15 beta release. I'm set to have ridiculous amounts of time on my hands for the following year, so expect me to be a constant nuisance for everyone trying to do good in the world!
Gizmo7
Good stuff Lucky you, how come you've got lots of time on your hands? Alright for some!
michalgottwald
Going to rehab(with an online connection ) in a couple of weeks. Very lucky! But yeah, in the grand scheme of things it's good obviously. Will still be doing some work assignments, but certainly have enough time for FM and such. Ty
No more football for at least a month for me, maybe 6-8 weeks 30 seconds (yes literally) into my game yesterday, someone sent me a dodgey pass... as I turned to readjust, my foot stayed planted and my knee turned so frustrating. You can ride and take a clattering from big CB's going through you and what not, and be fine. A little turn from a dodgey pass and you're injured. SRL88
Shut up you fruit cake. Try 24 months out injured.
Ty
Fruit cake because my knee is stronger than yours? Yeah my friend was out for 22 months, crutches for almost 18 months of that. Crazy! Also the young CB at our club found out yesterday he has to have an operation on his cruciates which is gutting for him, he is 17 and holds his own at step 5 of the football ladder. He will be brilliant when he is older if this injury doesn't affect him too much.
Gandy
Never been injured, wouldn't understand the trauma you're currently experiencing Ty. Eight weeks, what in heaven will you do?
