Barney Butterball
Hereford Utd Founded in 1924, Hereford United are a professional English club currently playing in the Blue Square Bet North. The club play their home games at Edgar Street and possess adequate training facilities and very basic youth facilities. The club also has fairly basic junior coaching and a basic youth recruitment network. The Club is affectionately known as The Bulls. The club enjoyed probably their best spell of success during the 1970s. Although now enduring a twenty year barren spell, having not won a competition since 1993, The Bulls still have a history of which they can be justly proud. Hereford won the English 3rd tier for the only time in 1976, finished runners-up in the English 4th tier for the only time in 1973, finished runners-up in the English 5th tier in 2004, 2005 and 2006, and finished runners-up in the English 6th tier in 1946, 1951 and 1972.
