theis
I guess you could argue that after we saw what louis was capable of, for him to go missing and spend the rest of the season on the physio's table just when we needed him most was quite disappointing. alilaw
All the people calling Louis 'disappointing' are usually the ones saying he's not fit to lace Ruud's boots. You can't have it both ways. He's either awesome and hasn't performed this season, or is a second rate striker in which case 14 goals is a cracking return.
No Longer Bling
the manner of the defeat to milan was why i voted for that. wasnt massively disappointed with going out, theyre a superb team and went on to win the whole thing. the fact we didnt even look interested was the key. Nick OGS20
joint third = the wins over Spurs and Blackburn. the latter criminally underrated imo, terrific second half. and in joint second, the wins over Bolton and Everton. but there was really only ever going to be one winner here. the quite freakishly awesome everything-that-we-touched-turned-to-gold 7-1 mauling of Roma. SLO_Fila
The wins over Bolton and Blackburn better than Roma Bolton was great performance throughout the 90min, Blackburn was the immense 2nd half while Roma was a freak result. theis
I don't know, the first half against Roma was some of the best one touch, attacking football I have seen us play. The only period imo this season which matched it was the first half against Bolton. I went with the Roma game as the end result was so much better AND it was on arguably the biggest stage in club football. Made everyone around the world who hadn't already noticed sit up and take note of the kind of football we've been playing this season. I wouldn't be surprised if that performance played a part in us landing Anderson and Nani.
14AlanSmithifb
Only reason I didnt go for the Blackburn game was becuase in the first half we were very average only to be blown away with an exceptional second half performance, so that swung it for the Roma game for me. Young Jimlad
It was awesome.
