shaunvamos
After having a tonne of fun in last year's edition of FM, in which I won the Champions League with Montenegrin side Buducnost Podgorica using only players that came through my youth academy, I've decided to continue this in the same region, but with another country. It's a slightly stronger nation than Montenegro in my opinion, but it's still going to be a tough time in Bosnia! I've chosen a team that has a fairly strong footing in the country, and is perhaps best known for producing the country's greatest ever player, Edin Dzeko. The expectations don't seem to be that high, and with a spot already in the Europa League there will be some money being pumped in almost immediately. The facilities are also ideal for this sort of challenge without being too overpowered I think. FYI: The in game editor is in use. This is due to the fact that I want to change the kit every other year, to keep things a little fresh, as the kits are quite plain in my opinion. There won't be wholesale changes, possibly just one change every second year, but I plan the final product to be very different to the original. Secondly, I want to observe the dynamic rivalries a little closer. I may document them, I may not. However, with so many rivalries already, it will be interesting to see if some get stronger or some die out. Manager Profile Enough beating around the bush; lets get into it! shaunvamos
Squad Analysis Goalkeepers Vedran Kjosevski Not a lot of ability, but plenty of depth. Kjosevski will be so key for us, and at 23 still has room for improvement. Left Back Antonio Pavic - Eldar Sehic - Aldin Sehic Pretty decent ability wise, but there's two home grown talents waiting in the wings, both with 5* potential Centre Backs Milos Bakrac - Matej Rodin - Kemal Osmankovic - Emir Dzudzevic We look especially strong at centre back, both for now and in the future. The determination levels aren't fantastic though. Right Backs Sinisa Stevanovic - Ermin Mesic Probably one of or weakest positions, but acres of potential in the youth team. Central Midfielders Stojan Vranjes - Haris Hajdarevic - Filip Arezina - Anel Sabanadzovic - Alen Nuhanovic - Semir Dacic This looks promising! plenty of CA & PA to go around here, there's going to be some unhappy players if they can't get a look in! Forwards Sulejman Krpic - Faris Zubanovic - Mirza Subo Looking solid up front, Zubanovic is a weapon. Forgot to add a couple of things, these are the leagues I have loaded: I've loaded all nations completely situated in the Balkans as playable. Nations with parts considered as Balkan (Croatia, Greece, Italy, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey, Serbia) and big league nations (England, France & Spain) have been loaded as view only. As a rule I have set myself to make it a little more realistic, I will try and be a selling club. As hard as a youth challenge is, I need to accept the fact that as a club in a small but strong nation bigger clubs will come sniffing around the goods. If that happens, I will sell according to these conditions: - 50% of next sale - selling price be twice that of the original offer plus current value of player (for example if player if worth 1M and club makes offer of 1.5M, I will sell for 4M) - where applicable, loan back length until end of following season These will be listed as non-negotiable, so they'd better play ball! Sir_Liam
Good luck. I'm managing the Bosnian national team which is pretty good, albeit lacking some depth. shaunvamos
2018 End of Year Update Fixtures 1 - Fixtures 2 We had a really, really shocking start. I mean terrible. We only won 2 in our first 10. I already lost the dressing room as I had no experience or qualifications to deserve respect and it showed on the pitch. However we were able to turn around our performances, especially in the last month where I changed the formation to suit the team rather than suit what I wanted, and it worked really well. Whether or not it will continue to work well is a question I'll have the answer to soon. National Team I'm very, very impressed with the demolition of Chile. shaunvamos
2019 Youth Intake Almedin Zec 1A - Ekrem Besic 1B* A fine opening intake, and it's rare to get fullbacks that already look good and have massive potential. Zec is already a physical freak, where mentally Besic can go a long way.
shaunvamos
2018/19 SEASON REVIEW League Fixtures - Cup Fixtures We managed to hold our position of 4th for the rest of the season finishing exactly where the media predicted us. I think if it wasn't for the disastrous tactical mishaps at the beginning of the season we definitely could have challenged for the title, but I'm happy not to do that for now. The longer it becomes a fight, the less straightforward it becomes which only prolongs the challenge. Stats Leaders/Best XI Vedran Kjosevski Sinisa Stevanovic - Matej Rodin - Milos Bakrac - Kemal Osmankovic - Antonio Pavic Stojan Vranjes - Haris Hajdarevic - Filip Arezina Faris Zubanovic - Sulejman Krpic Next Season Obviously start the season off much better, so we can be there or thereabouts this season. I'm excited to see how much our two fullback prospects evolve as well, they've already featured in one or two games and done quite well. It might be too much to ask to have a good Europa League draw as well, but anything can happen! Progress

shaunvamos
2019 END OF YEAR UPDATE Fixtures 1 - Fixtures 2 An okay start, we went off to a flyer, and began to dominate most teams, but Sarajevo and Siroki Brijeg still seem to have our number. Knocked out early in the cup as well after a very disappointing performance. We need to have a strong second half to qualify for the Europa, because 4th may not cut it this time. NATIONAL TEAM Only in FM can a team draw with Spain and lose to the Faroe Islands in the same year. But it doesn't matter, they qualified for the EURO for the first time! shaunvamos
2020 YOUTH INTAKE Zlatan Prljaca 2A - Filip Pedisic 2B* A decent 5* prospect, but really poor intake overall. Especially those personalities. Yikes.
shaunvamos
2019/20 SEASON REVIEW Fixtures A very very strong end to the season in which we finally beat Sarajevo, smashing them 3-0 in the final game to really hammer home the message that we won't be dictated to by them anymore. A definite improvement on last season, things are only going to get better as these players develop. STATS LEADERS & BEST XI Our star fullbacks played a key part in the back half of the season, but unfortunately they didn't make the cut in the Best XI this season. Vedran Kjosevski Sinisa Stevanovic - Matej Rodin - Kemal Osmankovic - Antonio Pavic Anel Sabanadzovic Stojan Vranjes - Haris Hajdarevic Medaris Hadzic Sinan Ramovic Faris Zubanovic Next Season The plan is pretty simple, to keep moving up! I'd love a good run in Europe, but the draw seems rigged against teams from weaker leagues (more so than usual anyway). Our youth players are going to continue to develop quickly, and the formation could possibly change as we are losing Sabanadzovic as he won't sign a new contract, making us much weaker. I'll be changing the kit as well, albeit minutely. Bosnian Clubs in Europe Sarajevo Zrinjski Siroki Brijeg The others teams definitely made us look bad! Progress

shaunvamos
2021 MID SEASON UPDATE League Fixtures 1 - League Fixtures 2 - Cup Fixtures Whatever has happened so far this season has worked brilliantly. We've been dominating teams, and all but shut them out in most games. Our tactics this season have created 48 Clear Cut Chances compared to 13 against (21-3 against teams of a similar stature) which is unlike anything I've seen from this team. Our fullbacks from the first youth intake have come in leaps and bounds, so much so that Ekrem Besic 1B* is now our best player, so I'm not expecting to hold onto him much longer. But what I am hoping to hold on to is that top spot on the ladder, and the way we're playing, that's definitely possible. NATIONAL TEAM EURO 2022 6-0 against Germany!!! and then complete capitulation against the rest. EURO LEAGUE Disappointing, and relegated as a result. FRIENDLIES Good win against Belgium, but par for the course with the rest. EURO 2022 Impressive to see both Albania and Kosovo join Bosnia in the tournament, and Kosovo even progressing to the knockouts! No real upsets for the rest of the tournament, and France make it a World Cup/EURO double.
shaunvamos
2021 YOUTH INTAKE Nikola Halilovic 3A - Salih Jusic 3B Not a massively strong intake, but it is quite deep. It's supposed to be a 'golden generation'. What we do get is a couple 4* PA players, a speedy winger and a keeper. Both look decent, and keepers are always welcome! shaunvamos
2020/21 SEASON REVIEW Fixtures We had an incredible second half in which we only lost one match in 19, resulting in us as champions defensively we were fantastic, with the next best conceding 15 more goals than us. Hopefully we can make the most of this opportunity in the Champions League otherwise our money situation may come back to haunt us. STATS LEADERS & BEST XI Zubanovic was an absolute beast, but he wasn't without help. Besic 1B* and Prljaca 2A contributed enormously as well and they will be highlighted as well later on. Vedran Kjosevski Ekrem Besic 1B* - Milos Bakrac - Kemal Osmankovic - Almedin Zec 1A Zlatan Prljaca 2A - Stojan Vranjes - Haris Hajdarevic - Haris Hajdarevic Sinan Ramovic Faris Zubanovic ALL TIME BEST XI PROSPECT WATCH I'm going to start highlighting our best three players that came from the academy during my tenure each season, seeing as 3 are in the best XI, and there's only going to be more joining them. Ekrem Besic 1B* Easily our best player this season. Extremely efficient in all aspects of his game. He's been making noise about leaving but I've managed to quiet them for now, but it won't be long before bigger clubs take notice. Almedin Zec 1A Also very impressive this season. He's not as good as Besic, so he was targeted by teams but he held up his end nicely, with those 3.5 tackles per game. Zlatan Prljaca 2A This is the player I've been most impressed with. I changed the formation to include a right midfielder in the hope that he'd get a few games at the back end of the season and develop to be ready for the next, or maybe the one after. Wow did he prove me wrong and then some! He forced his way into the team with an assist on his debut, and then didn't really allow me to drop him, contributing with a team high 12 assists, and improving steadily as he went. I'm really excited to see how he fares next season. Next Season Retain the title! Also maybe do well in the Champions League. Maybe a Europa League playoff? Might be too much to ask though. Bosnian Clubs in Europe Zrinjski FK Sarajevo Siroki Brijeg Still a pretty impressive effort by a couple teams, Sarajevo were kinda disappointing though. shaunvamos
YES!!! Although.... We went up 2-0 in the first 20 minutes to get an (in my opinion) unassailable lead, but then we relaxed and after another 20 minutes we were down 3-2 at half time. I absolutely ripped into the team in my half time talk, and then immediately came out and started strongly, scoring 10 minutes in and then burying a 4th in stoppage time to put us through. We got away with it there, if it wasn't for my outburst our bags would be packed. Good thing our bags are already packed.

shaunvamos
Ummmmm..... So that happened, no idea how! I battened down the hatches and we won both legs, and we're into the Europa League Group Stage! A decent group. We can definitely beat Sheriff, and Zenit and Basel aren't exactly world class opposition, but they are still very good. Good to see some Balkan sides join us from Albania and Bulgaria! shaunvamos
2022 Mid Season Review Fixtures 1 - Fixtures 2 A slow start, and I think Sarajevo are already uncatchable. The slow start could probably be attributed to the heavy European schedule we've had, but more on that below. Europa League I knew we would've had Sheriff's number, but to beat Zenit and draw with Basel? Get outta here. It was a massively impressive performance, and in doing so we have a date with Wolfsburg that I feel won't end well for us. Bosnian National Team Unfortunately, Bosnia didn't qualify for the World Cup, just missing out in the second placed teams on goal difference.
shaunvamos
I made the call to sell him because Arsenal met all the criteria I set for my players to be sold. Off he goes! shaunvamos
2021/22 Season Review We could not catch Sarajevo, but we did enough to comfortably be second. I'm still happy with that performance, considering we had a very successful season in Europe I am not too disappointed. Stats Leaders and Best XI Key Players No one seems interested in him yet, and I managed to sign a contract that could keep him here for the next seven years Absolute assist machine, he and Zlatan 2A combined for 29 assists across all competitions. It's annoying that his season stats only include when he was loaned back, but he was still incredibly dominant. Last season will be his last with us though Bosnian Clubs in Europe Zrinjski FK Sarajevo Radnik At least Sarajevo had a good run.
