End Of Season Review 2022/23

 

We finished the regular season 2nd and finished 3rd in the Championship group.

Pretty decent first season.

 

We also won the Croky Cup and got all the way into the EL quarter final.

Solid basis.

 

Cuypers will 41 goals in all competitions.

Also we got 3 players with 10+ assits which I really like.

End Of Season Review 2022/23 - Stats

 

The finances are looking really bad.

Im in the budgets, but we need CL football.

We grew on social media over the past year.

 

The board and supporter were really happy with our finish this season.

 

Set pieces....I hate that, because they are so inconsistent.

Very busy offseason, we made a lot of transfer things.

 

We start the season with the Super Cup once again.

But this time its Anderlecht.

There was a big overhaul of the coaching staff in summer.

Not perfect, but we are working on it.

 

Also we finally got some more varity in the scouting department.

We had like 8 Belgian scout.

 

 

We expanded our scouting network a lot.

Lets see what they can find over the next months.

Finances look very bad in belgium, every team have big issues. I started with Berchem in youth only challenge and i and few others reported already a lot of bugs . If you don't get takeovers or a board cash injections, it is unplayable . My promoted team from 4th tier became automatic pro. That also involves high costs.. The youth setup is expensive , high player wages even in third tier.

Yes it seems everbody is p*ssing away money.

Without players sells or constant Euro money its hard to progress.

 

It sad to here about the bugs in the lower leagues. 

I think Belgium is so fun to play with their league system, youth setup, reputatuin and almost non existing registration rules.

yes and add that one of those lower league teams produces newgens from my town (Antwerp) and are available for a youth only challenge  After previous attemps it seems to click now , despite teh bugs.

Good luck with Gent (they have a very bad record against my own club, Royal Antwerp, in real life :)).

Royal Antwerp started really well in the season.

I keep an eye on them this season, because they got Bayern legend MVB as coach.

He got some much sh*t in Germany for his "failed" attempt at Wolfsburg.

But its wasnt really his fault, because everybody with a clear mind said this would end really quick. Their DoF is garbage.

Yes i know, he had the same at PSV , after a really good season, in the second season he started very bad and was sacker. At Antwerp the DoF is Marc Overmars (the one who made Ajax very rich) and started with 27 out of 27 points and 4 wins in europe (after being beated in last playoff round ECL against Başakşehir. Now we have 6 out of 18.. i hope this will turn before the World Cup starts. Sorry enough about them. Good luck with Gent

Great start to the month.

Jeremejeff with almost always the first goal of the game.

For 1,3 mio at the start of this save, yes please.

 

Hopefully he can keep it up, so we get maybe really good 10+ mio offer next summer.

Transfers Summer 2023 Part 1

OUT

Big clear out of our Reserves and we made like 450k.

We made roughly 40 mio in players sell, which I find pretty amazing.

 

The biggest one is Jordan Torunarigha for 17,5 mio to RB Leipzig.

Not only is that a nice chunk of money, with Leipzig we got our first chance of silverware.

 

The other big out were Castro-Montes, Chakvetadze, Hjulsager and Willems.

All with 12 months left on their deals.

Im pretty happy overall, I think we improved the team even if we bought younger players in.

Resink from 2nd tier Almere - Still only 20 with some potential. Its a classsic free and sell after loan signing.

Meixedo from Porto B - This one I regret, my scouts rated him higher.

Wuytens from Beveren - Solid HGN player.

Diego Lopez - 41 years and he could still go. He is on mentor duty.

We raided Germany for some spicy talents, for all we got an option to buy.

John 1,6 Mio, Walde 4,2 Mio and Schulz 2,5 Mio.

 

Then my scout sent me a report of Matheus Nascimento.

I know him from last FM, he was listed for loan and interested. We got a 3,6 Mio and after his start to the season I might be willing pay.

On deadline day we loaned Antonucci from Feyenoord. Why? Homegrown rules for the league.

Our scouts did some work over the past months.

We raided Nordsjaelland for some spicy talents.

Both Diomande and Nagalo are pretty amazing so far and should go for some serious money after 12 months.

On deadline day we signed Caufriez sadly for 2 mio. Why? League rules, he was the cheapest and best Belgian CB we could find.

We sold our backup keeper Nardi, so I looked for another youngster. My scouts really rated Rafn Valdimarsson high, so I givbe him a try.

Since we are playing in Belgian with basicly no rules...ofcause I sign my boy Mueanta.

Anubodem was listed by request for 450k. He will play in the Reserves this season.

There is Ndongo, Grindhaug and Horner, they will get some extra spotlight.

Ndongo I found by looking at the U19 Euros. He won the Golden Boot as AMC.

Then I saw Niort gettin relegated into the 3rd tier, so I knew this was the right time.

 

I looked at my affiliates and I saw we got Haugesaud. They got a pretty good youth setup.

Through their first intake came Grindhaug. So I did the right thing and got him early.

He will stay at Haugesung atleast for 2 seasons, where he is gettin regular football in the B team (4th tier) and as bench option for the main team.

 

And then there was Fabrizio Horner.

He was part of the Albanian U21, who played as the U21 Euros.

15 years and playing with the U21? So why not.

He came through the Red Star FC (France, 3rd tier) intake.

But I guess you cant really count the 16 y/o players really, since there are gettin more football in the reserves.

I only play with the lines and passing ingame.

Once an international break comes just go through the A team and look for 18 years and under.

Or go to the U21 and look for 17 and under.

It takes like max 5-10 minutes.

 

Nordin was called up for the U21 Swedens.

Natural B2B already at age 15.

14 flair, 15 passing, technique and 16 teamwork and work rate.

And already some perfect trait for my system.

Only his personality scares me.
