shaunvamos
June 2025 We have two players sent off against Sao Paulo and they just crushed us. That set off a chain of floggings, and the board has hauled me in to ask me why the dressing atmosphere is so terrible.
shaunvamos
21 hours ago, Swaban said: Which leagues are you most and least looking forward to getting to? I don't know if there's anywhere I'm not looking forward to, as I've never really managed outside Europe even as an Australian. But I'm most looking forward to strong nations with weak domestic setups, especially in Europe. I'm not sure which ones they are yet, but things like Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia etc.
shaunvamos
July 2025 The results have fixed the squad atmosphere, but we end the first half of the season 2nd last.
shaunvamos
August 2025 We're slowly scraping results, but we need to start scraping some more under the assumption that Botafogo will jump us after their games in hand are played.
shaunvamos
September 2025 A sole win over state rivals Ceara, and with 10 games to go we're in for a real survival fight.
shaunvamos
2025 Youth Intake Andrezinho 4A - Danilo Hentzy 4B - Ebert Yamada 4C* An incredible intake, with 4 5* PA prospects, and we even get a Model Citizen! Not a high PA one, but he'll be signed.
shaunvamos
October 2025 We use up a whole bunch of goals on America before pretty much dooming CRB to relegation. We have 6 games to ensure survival, and it'll be a close run thing.
shaunvamos
Survival on the final day, and what this season has told me is that Elton is legit. His 32 goals in the First Division was enough to get the Golden Boot by a whopping 11 goals. I'm sure Corinthians have enough players to not really miss him, but their loss is our huge gain. Hopefully we can turn other big teams losses into gains for next season as we push for a continental place. Brazil have a whopping 12 places for the Libertadores and Sudamericana, and that's the aim. Best XI Elton - Fernandinho - Ronald Record Breakers Did I mention Elton is legit? Award Winners God he's good. Progress

shaunvamos
January 2026 We can finally buy players based outside Brazil! We can only get a max of 5 though. We take advantage of our new scouting range, signing 5 foreigners and a local for the season ahead. Goalkeeper Central Defender Defensive Midfielder Central Midfielder Winger Attacking Midfielder We get off to a perfect start in our preseason cups, which we should be doing because all of these teams are in the Third Division at best. shaunvamos
February 2026 Easily through to the second stage of the state cup, and our progress in the regional cup has been solid too. I can't really read too much into it though because they're all lower division teams.
shaunvamos
March 2026 We've safely progressed to the knockout stages of both cups, and despite playing 22 games already we still haven't started the league. When we do start the league we'll be doing it with the NXGN winner Elton, whose eligibility was no doubt boosted by him scoring 49 goals in 51 games last season, and 19 in just 12 this season.
shaunvamos
April 2026 We're in the finals for both of our cups, and we get off to a winning start in the league which is extremely unlikely to continue.
shaunvamos
May 2026 We lose the state cup but win the regional cup, and we've gotten off to better than expected start in the league where we sit 7th. There's still plenty of football to play though, and a lot of teams have games in hand to play.
shaunvamos
June 2026 A huge scalp in the cup as we beat Palmeiras, as we seem to be holding our own in the league at this stage.
shaunvamos
July 2026 We prove our cup victory over Palmeiras was no fluke, as we move up to 7th place. World Cup 2026 A few cool teams here, like Uzbekistan, Mozambique, Suriname, Venezuela, Jamaica, Thailand, Haiti and Iraq. They unfortunately didn't progress any further, but hey, at least they made it. Haiti got belted 11-1 by Germany though. Argentina get knocked out by Brazil in extra time, but that's the only major team making an exit this early. Austria make a quarter final, and Germany finally exact revenge on Brazil 24 years after they lost the final to them in the same tournament.

shaunvamos
2026 Youth Intake Vinícius Benchimol 5A - Ricardo 5B - Ivanildo Faro 5C A pretty disappointing intake in terms of PA, our first one in Brazil, but it's still a pretty deep one.
shaunvamos
September 2026 An unbeaten month sees us jump back up to 9th, and in the unlikely event we win our games in hand we could go 4th!

shaunvamos
A crazy end to the season, where we have great wins against Santos and Sao Paulo, which really sets up next season provided we can make some solid additions. shaunvamos
January 2027 Our scouting range has now been upgraded to worldwide, but with only 5 foreign slots available I had to be selective. We didn't really stray too far from South America, picking up two Colombians and three Brazilians, but we also bought someone from Thailand, a first for me. It's a new look backline, one that I hope will hold against the bigger Brazilian teams as we push for the automatic Libertadores spots. We actually qualified for the Libertadores qualifying rounds this season, which begins in February. Goalkeeper Central Defender Fullbacks Central Midfielder Winger Most of our new recruits are away playing for their country in various capacities, but we've gotten off to a strong start in the state cup against lower division teams. shaunvamos
February 2027 Ceara destroy us, bringing us back to reality as we navigate the Libertadores qualifiers at the same time. We get through them relatively painlessly to qualify for our first ever Libertadores group stages! I don't know too much about South American clubs outside the main ones, but it looks like we got a pretty good group. Bolivar are the current Bolivian champions, Independiente have won 3 of the last 5 Ecuadorian titles, and Melgar haven't finished in the top 2 in each of the 5 Peruvian seasons in this save. We've avoided Uruguayan, Brazilian, Argentinian and Colombian clubs which I think is a great start. Tell you what though, Groups E, F, G & H are all pretty tough. Imagine having one of the most violent rivalries in football happening in a continental group stages in Boca and River Plate. Exciting stuff.
shaunvamos
March 2027 We lose our 2nd game of 2 to teams in our division and they haven't been close which is a bit of a worry. At least we've gotten off to a perfect start in the Libertadores.
shaunvamos
April 2027 We're through to the final of the State Cup, the knockout stages of the Libertadores and had a winning start to the league.
shaunvamos
May 2027 A brutal month as we run into a bunch of big teams and come out worse. But at least we make it into the Libertadores knockouts in July where we play Rosario Central of Argentina.
shaunvamos
June 2027 The tactics have changed to something a bit more Wenger-esque, courtesy of a Wengerball tactic that RDF created and promoted. It took some time for it to settle in, but our last three games have gone well, and I'll be looking to strengthen the side during the July transfer window as well.
shaunvamos
July 2027 8 new signings in the July window, and all are huge improvements on what we have now. It's a new look frontline and fullbacks. Goalkeeper Fullbacks Central Midfielder Wingers Attacking Midfielder Striker Our unbeaten streak extends to over 10 games as we shoot up to 8th in the league. We've been pretty defensively sound as well, highlighted in our win on penalties in the Libertadores against Rosario Central after no goals were scored in 180+ minutes. In the quarter finals we play Libertad of Paraguay, strong for Paraguay but can we handle them?
shaunvamos
August 2027 The goals have dried up and by extension the wins have as well. We're still in a continental spot, but we need to push for that top 7. It's a showcase of Brazilian continental dominance as all remaining teams hail from there, and 6 of 8 quarter finalists. Curiously enough the other two teams were Paraguayan.
shaunvamos
2027 Youth Intake David 6A - Diego 6B - Oliveira 6C Pretty terrible intake really, with only 5 players making the cut and realistically maybe the top 2 only ever standing a chance at appearing for us at some stage.
shaunvamos
September 2027 The part I don't get is that we couldn't score for pretty much the entire month, but then we score 5 away against Sao Paulo in the Libertadores semi? I mean I'm thrilled, just confused. Anyway, the first chapter of this save has the potential to be over as we enter the Libertadores final against Flamengo as they overcame a 2-0 deficit against Palmeiras in their semi. shaunvamos
Somewhat prematurely, Brazil is complete! It's a bit weird to have won the equivalent of the Champions League and then finish so far down the ladder, but it is what it is. I also think my work here was far from done, as the facilities still had upgrades to be made, but let's hope that the next manager can carry it on. Best XI Jorge López - Luís Paulo - Dionísio Sarahyba Record Breakers Award Winners Progress
shaunvamos
I've changed formations again, this time for the whole save I'd say, as this tactic I found recreates the Invincibles tactic of 03-04 which I want to emulate wherever I go. This is again thanks to RDF Tactics who made a video on this for FM21. I don't think it would play too differently in 23, so it stays unchanged. That of course means every player attribute rating before this one counts for nothing, so here is the current All-Time Best XI & 2nd XI according to the new formation. Pretty Brazilian oriented of course, but it will be interesting to see how things change as the save progresses. These are the current world rankings, showing all the countries I've completed. The 5th placed nation I haven't done yet, so that's where I'm headed next. Where to next I wonder....
shaunvamos
Argentina is currently the 5th best nation in the world, and now it's my turn to manage there. But who will I have the honour of managing? Club Deportivo Maipú were the team predicted to finish the lowest in Argentina's lowest playable division that plays in red and white. There are a whopping 37 teams in the league, and we're predicted 31st. There may be a small problem though... The club is in massive debt, with little to spend on new signings or anything else really. I'll need to salvage the clubs finances by selling a bunch of players who don't fit my tactical setup. Speaking of, what's our ideal XI looking like? It's really not that much worse than what we started with in Brazil. But it's a hugely bloated squad, with 62 players. Plenty will be leaving this window for sure.

shaunvamos
2028 Preseason I managed to clear out a bunch of people who were earning too much and not playing, so things are looking a little better financially.
