Popular Post rusty217
Here's a collection of regional club cups I've made. They're all made as continental competitions, so will show national flags within the competition to make them a bit more visually appealing. The vast majority of them will show up under the competitions menu for the countries involved, not the continent. eg. to get to the British Cup, open the World tab at the top of the screen, on the nations drop down select England, Scotland or Wales, and then it will be there right alongside that country's domestic cup. They all work as stand-alone competitions if you only want 1, or they also work all together in the same save if you want more than 1. Europe: Balkan Cup z Balkan Cup.fmf Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia & Slovenia Spoiler Baltic Club Cup z Baltic Club Cup.fmf Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania Spoiler Benelux Cup z Benelux Cup.fmf Belgium, Luxembourg & Netherlands Spoiler British Cup z British Cup.fmf England, Scotland & Wales Spoiler Celtic Cup z Celtic Cup.fmf England (Cornwall), France (Brittany including Nantes), Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland & Wales Spoiler Copa Iberia z Copa Iberia.fmf Portugal & Spain Spoiler Coupe Napoleon z Coupe Napoleon.fmf Belgium, France & Italy Spoiler Kaiser Pokal z Kaiser Pokal.fmf Austria, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, Liectenstein, Netherlands, Slovakia & Switzerland Spoiler Nordic Pokal z Nordic Pokal.fmf Denmark, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Norway & Sweden Spoiler South America: Copa Bolivar z Copa Bolivar.fmf Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela Spoiler Copa de Competencia z Copa de Competencia.fmf Argentina, Chile, Paraguay & Uruguay Spoiler Inter-continental; (unfortunately due to how inter-continental competitions work these only display under the World tab, not the individual countries) Arab Champions Cup z Arab Club Champions Cup.fmf Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, UAE & Yemen Spoiler Seljuk Cup z Seljuk Cup.fmf Iran, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan & Uzbekistan Spoiler Soviet Cup z Soviet Cup.fmf Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine & Uzbekistan Spoiler Edited May 30, 2023 by rusty217

bsanchezb
Poland within Soviet Cup? Ouch... Btw there was a Commonwealth of Independent States Cup for ex-Soviet countries. You can use this structure and/or name for that regional cup.

valve
Is the berth allocation fixed? Because that's unrealistic in the long run, but apparently changing it dynamically based on coefficients is not possible for custom cups?

Btw there was a Commonwealth of Independent States Cup for ex-Soviet countries. You can use this structure and/or name for that regional cup. Was trying to come up with regional competitions for all the European countries and Poland were hard to fit in anywhere. So they got put in with the former Soviet countries. Same for Hungary/Slovakia, I don't believe they were ever part of the HRE but they got put into the Kaiser Pokal. Just needed somewhere for them. Plus it makes things more competitive. Polish clubs are able to compete in the Soviet Cup and prevent Ukrainian/russian dominance. Although in the current game with russia excluded from UEFA competitions I'd expect their team quality to decline a fair bit, which would mean Ukraine would completely dominate it. At least having Poland in there gives them some decent competition. Thanks for the info about the CIS Cup, I didn't know about that one!

Some of them have the host qualify automatically, so technically they could get +1 place for the next season by winning it. The majority of these competitions use every team in the top division for those countries though, so there's not much need for any changing in berths. A couple do use second division teams too (England in the British Cup and Germany in the Kaiser Pokal), but not many. Changing it based on coefficients is possible, but doing that would overwrite the existing continental coefficients. The goal is for these competitions to exist alongside the existing UEFA competitions. They're actually meant to be more similar to domestic cups than European ones.
Johnny-Trotter
You could consider the Visegrad Cup for Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visegrád_Group

ts9227976
Could you create an fmf file with the return of Swansea, Cardiff and Wrexham in Welsh Country?
MZ17
Great idea, but in the Soviet Cup for political reasons no Polish, Georgian, Ukrainian or Baltic clubs would ever play. In any case it would be necessary to include clubs from the Crimean League, Sheriff Tiraspol from Transnistria. I have not checked if in the database there are clubs from South Ossetia and Abkhazia, which would also play.
oche balboa
This is fantastic I did something similar for Fm22. But excluded the Big 5. I had Nordic, Southern, Eastern, Celtic & Soviet. Worked quite well. But will be downloading this for sure

A bit of both. The Iceland bug is an issue, but there's a way around it. Just have to do it 14 times I plan to update them soon, just haven't been doing much FM lately.
